I was so glad there were a few fall leaves left for this family session, 

and even more glad that it was a super nice day!

 Every year, Ewrin Orchard's and Cider Mill has a photo contest.  Two years ago I entered and tied for 2nd place.  You can see that entry here.  This year I took 1ST PLACE!  Whoop! Whoop!

I can't wait to go get the prize!  Cash, a pumpkin, cider, and donuts!

Photo Session at Lightning Speed!

I didn't get to have a whole lot of time with this darling family, but that didn't stop us from getting some awesome shots!

This little girl was the PERFECT model!  She was so cute and sassy and loved the camera.  Now...if I could just get my little cuties to do that for me!!!  

The darling tutu is was made by Cillerenda's Princess Couture , out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan!  The lovely mini top hat was provided by Lisa's Mini Mad Hattery, out of Camas, Washington. Aren't they the MOST cutest? ;)

He Said. She Said. Workshop!

  This last weekend I had the pleasure of being staff at the He Said. She Said. Workshop by Boka Studios and Jean Smith Photography. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many talented people who are willing to share their knowledge! Special thanks to Travis and Jean for all your hard work and sweet teaching skills!  And, thanks to all the other staffers and photographers who made the workshop so awesome! Orchard

My favorite Orchard/Cider Mill opened last weekend! My sweet little Rosie Cheeks was the only one who would get in front of the camera for me. I was a bit bummed that my oldest wouldn't pose for me, but what can you do? This will be my third year entering their photo contest. The first year I entered, I took 2nd place and won free donuts and cider and a pumpkin. Lets see if I can get 1st place this year!

Apples in Michigan...

It's apple pickin time in Michigan!  So, naturally I had to add a cute bushel basket and some apples!  The little cuties had to taste each one...literally...they took a taste of each one!

Ah... Summer...

Something about this picture will stay with me forever. Maybe it's the chippy fingernail polish or the tired expression of wiped-outed-ness on her face, because it was so hot that day. Or maybe it's the funny make-shift headband she threw together herself before we walked out the door. This says summer to me...aah...summer.

We had a rainy afternoon a couple days ago, I finally got around to editing them. If you look really closely, you can see a spiderweb between the red leaves. It was kind of an unexpected surprise! I didn't even realize it was there until I got it on the computer!

August is still my month...

I don't know why, but August seems to be my month for change.  Everything happens in August! Look forward some exciting changes this August!

Justin and Shannon Engaged!

I certainly lucked out for my first engagement shoot ever! This chica knew exactly what she wanted...A vintage themed shoot based on the movie The Notebook. She's a girl after my own heart! This shoot was so much fun! I wish I had some of me and my hubbs like this! SUPER JEALOUS right now! Congratulations you two!
