The most wonderful sound in the world

I love being an aunt more than any other "title" in the world.  I remember holding my first nephew, Caleb, the day he was born and wondering how I could have so much love for someone I had just met.  With each new addition my heart grows.  I can't show enough pictures or tell enough about my nephews and nieces to my friends and coworkers in Boston.  Since I am so far away from them I have my favorite things to look at or listen to so I don't feel as far away from them.  This is one of them from my nephew, Cohen, introducing the most amazing sound in the whole world.  Enjoy!

New England Cemeteries

~Spring 2011~

~Fall 2010~

Mt Auburn Cemetery is one of the most beautiful places that I frequent.  It was the first "Garden Cemetery," and lends itself to many visitors.  Whether they are commemorating the lives of their loved ones, walking through the gardens with friends, taking pictures, or birdwatching, it's a peaceful place right in the middle of a busy area.

For me, it has been a refuge of sorts, a place that I can come on my own to think or feel peace, as well as make memories with great friends.  I love it in every season, and you can see why.  From the tower you can see all of Boston, including Belmont Hill where the temple is.    I never thought that I would enjoy being in a cemetery, but now I can appreciate it for beauty and for the hallowed ground it is.

Melting

the ice and snow are melted, people are thawing, spring is coming, new ideas are forming, life is blooming.

this is my first post, my first photo edited with a professional, and the first of many things i'm ready to share about my happiness i've found on the journey.
