Quinn ELEVEN Months Old

Quinny Girl I can't believe you are almost one! This year has gone by so fast. I can't even remember what our lives were like before you, you bring so much love, joy, fun, and sweetness into our lives. You make me laugh every single day, you are my ray of sunshine. 

You make everyday (even the hard ones) a better day.

We went to Utah and Jackson Lake, we were gone for three and a half weeks and considering all the traveling, you did pretty good. You are flexible and you go with the flow.... as long as mom is right there.
     SLEEPING: still not great, you wake up 2-4 times every night. Its usually around midnight and four... and sometimes more (we are all tired) you either take one long afternoon nap, usually 3 hours or two naps that are 1-2 hours. You go to sleep really easy so thats nice.
      EATING: you love to eat, you really just want to eat what we are eating, you are kind of over baby food although you will still eat it. You love to feed yourself, and you still love to pick everything up with your little pointer finger. You still nurse, before naps, bedtime, and all through the night, its the only way I can get you to go back to sleep.
     - you finally got TWO TEETH both in the same week. Your two bottom teeth came in first, we have been waiting a long time for them to finally pop. They are super sharp and you love sticking them out. And now you can finally stat eating more real food!

TALKING: You jabber all day long. You say Hi over and over and to everyone you see. Every time I come to get you out of your crib you greet me with lots of Hi's. You have the cutest little raspy voice. You also say bye bye, pooh, uh oh (every time you drop something) sometimes baby and nana and Moma and Dada of course. You definitely know us, and call for us.
You love to play and be part of the party, you never want to miss out. One of my favorite things is when everyone is laughing, you always laugh way loud (in your fake laugh) its so cute!!
You love to sing songs and you sing/jabber along. I love when we sing the song "if all of the rain drops were lemon drops and gum drops" when it gets to the part "I'll go out side with my mouth open wide" you always open your mouth wide open "ah ah ah ah ah ah" Its my favorite. You love music. Every time you hear a beat you instantly start swaying back and forth, and sometimes you hold your hands up and twist them, and shrug your shoulders. You have amazing dance moves.

I love your cubby little legs, every roll and crease, your two little dimples above your lips, your long little toes, and how your pinkies curve in like your dads, your squinty sparkly eyes, the way you use your little hands, your round belly, your laugh, your smell, I absolutely love everything about you, from your head to your toes and everything in between. I love how much you love me, how you get shy and wrap your arm around mine tight and lay your head on my shoulder. I love the way you make my heart skip a beat, and want to explode.

I love watching everything you do!! You have a few new TRICKS: while we were in Utah, you learned how to climb stairs (since we don't have any) You caught on really fast, and you even learned how to slide down on your belly (with a little help) you love the stairs and you went up and down them a million times.
You love to hold onto our fingers and Walk. You are getting stronger, better and braver everyday. You want to walk all the time. You will crawl over, pull yourself up, reach for my fingers and then off you go, you will turn us in the direction you want us to go. You also love to push your little walking toy all around. You love to stand up and balance all by yourself. You get so excited, and you can balance for a long time but you won't try and walk unless you are holding onto someone or something. It won't be long before you are walking all over.

I love how excited you get over everything. It makes me excited. I love all of your new achievements and milestones. I love watching you figure things out, and learning new tricks, but it makes me sad at the same time that you are growing up so fast. Everyday you grow and change and learn something new.
It has been a big months of FIRSTS: first fireworks, first teeth, lots of first foods, first steps, first trip to the zoo, and your first little pony tail. We have had a busy month of swimming, swinging at the park, boating, lots of walks, seeing family, playing with friends, and you love it all. You are the happiest baby girl.
You are getting to the fun age of playing. You love to play with your brother (when he doesn't trample you) You love when Daddy gets home and the three of you play chase all over the house, laughing so hard. That is the greatest sound. You love to give lots of loves and kisses (even dad with his poky beard gets kisses now) There is nothing better than a big, wet, slobbery, open mouth kiss from you!!

I am so grateful for you Quinny Girl. You and your brother help remind me to slow down and enjoy every moment with you two. I love you both so much. I feel so lucky to be your mom. You make me a better and stronger person. You bring me so much happiness. I love you more than I know what to do with and my love grows more and more each day. I can't believe you are almost One. I love you to the moon and back baby girl. I love you, your Daddy loves you, Colter boy loves you, everyone loves you. You are special, you are beautiful, and you as so very loved. Quinn TEN months old

Oh Baby Girl you are so much FUN and BUSY busy busy.... on the MOVE everywhere, literally you don't hold still for a second, and you are FAST.

rolling, pulling, twisting, crawling, climbing, pointing, diving, squirming, moving. 

(in fact I still feel awful about this but you dove right off the bed while we were taking these pictures, broke my heart, and thats why this month there are only a few)

You have the sweetest giggle, it is the best sound in the world. I can't help but laugh right along with you every time. It is low and raspy... I just love it!! And you laugh at everything!!

We went to Utah (july 21-august 15) We were in Salt Lake, Jackson, and St. George, it was a lot of traveling. You did really good flying, but you hate driving... I figured out that its only bad if you can see me, you just scream and cry because you want me to hold you, if you can't see me you are fine. But that made traveling tricky, all in all you did pretty good. You were sleeping (almost) through the night before we left....traveling threw that way off!!.... someday you will sleep through the night.

NICK NAMES: Quinny, Sis, Baby Sis (thats what colter calls you) baby girl, little sis, sissy pants, Quinny girl. Its all about the same. Its my favorite that Colter only calls you Baby Sis.

 FAVORITE FOODS: real bananas, sweet potatoes, pouches, puffs, you still don't have any teeth, making it hard to eat real food, but you really want to eat whatever we are eating.

FAVORITE TRICKS: pulling yourself up to things, clapping, waving, clicking and twisting your tongue, giving kisses (on command) giggles all the time (when we sing, or play games) 

FAVORITES: playing with your tongue, its always out, story time, bath time, playing with Colter, the water, singing songs, and you get so excited to see your daddy!!!....but mom might still be your favorite, for now.

SIZE: pretty much the same as the last few months... still in size two diapers, sometimes threes at night (but not when you are waking up all the time) 6-12 months in most things and 3-6 month bottoms. You would never guess that you are a light weight with all that yummy chubbiness!!

Quinn my sweet sweet baby girl..... You instantly put a smile on my face. You have the sweetest face and sparkly blue eyes (that always look tired), when you look at me, you have this look that melts my heart, and you can just feel your sweetness. There is something about you Quinn that is just irresistible. I love to hold you and snuggle you and soak up all your sweetness. I love how you get shy and bury your head into my shoulder. I love how your love your cheek pressed up against mine, there is no where I would rather be than cheek to cheek with you! I love spending every day with you. You want me to hold you all the time, I don't mind, I love you so much Quinny. We are so lucky to have you, you add so much love, spunk, laughter and sunshine to our lives, you make our lives complete. XOXO

Quinn NINE Months Old

N.I.N.E. M.O.N.T.H.S.

We were in Utah when you turned 9 months old. I felt like you grew up while we were out there, learning so many new tricks. You really do grow and change every single day. Its a love/hate kind of a thing, I love watching you learn new things but hate how fast it happens. I just want you to be my little baby forever.

Your sweet little personality is really starting to come out. You are the sweetest baby girl I have ever been around. You love to be down on the floor playing with your brother and you still always want me, either right beside you, or holding you. We put you in a little Johny Jumper and you love it, you jump and laugh, and jump and play, you think its pretty great. You crawl around the floor so fast, and you pick up every crumb in sight with your little pointer finger and you put it straight into you mouth. We call you our little "hoover" You point everything out with that little pointer finger, crumbs, freckles, everything you touch, you poke with your pointer first. 

You love playing with your brother, and you think he is really funny, especially when he cries, you always laugh. You are one tough little girl (he has made you one) I hope you two will always be best friends. I love watching you two together, it makes my heart happy. You adore your Daddy, you now get really excited to see him too. You give him lots of snuggles but you don't like to kiss his prickly face. And of course you are still a Moma's girl!!

New Tricks: You clap every time we say Yeah or Patty Cake. You are pretty proud of yourself. You are Pulling Yourself up to everything and you think you are so big. I love watching you work so hard at something, we both get pretty excited when you accomplish it! You bonk your head a lot, but you are one touch little girl because it doesn't really phase you. You also wave Bye Bye. I love the way you twist your hand, its your own little unique way of waving.

You have a smile that just melts my heart, and I love when you scrunch your little nose. You love to twist and click your tongue, you are always playing with it and letting it hang out. You say Moma and Dada and all sorts of other jabbers and sounds, with the cutest little voice.

Everything you do makes me smile. 

Some things you LOVE to do: You love to go on walks in the stroller and front pack, our family walks are some of my most favorite moments. You love the water. You love to go swimming and splash and kick around and you love the tubby, and you usually cry when I take you out. You love to read stories and you like to point things out with your little pointer finger.

This is what Colter boy does while we are trying to take our months photo shoots.... He makes everything more fun/challenging/exciting/time consuming.

     Size: you are still in size 2 diapers, sometimes size threes at night time. Pretty much in size 6-12 month clothes and 3-6 month bottoms. You are a little thing, but those scrumptious cheeks and chubby little thighs throw you off. Mmmm my favorite things to nibble on!!
     Eating: still no teeth Quinny Girl but you love to eat, you love pouches, puffs, and snacks and you want a bite of whatever we are eating. You still nurse about 4 times a day and you sometimes wake up for a little snack in the middle of the night.
     Sleeping: I would say you sleep through the night 80% of the time, hey I'll take what ever I can get. Most of the time you take 2 naps.... sometimes just one really long one.

Quinn you are so sweet, you go along with anything, you are fun and happy and you have this look that just pulls at my heart. You bring so much joy into all of our lives. You bring so much to our family, you really complete us. I feel so blessed to be your mom. My mom is my best friend, and I'm so excited to have that same life long relationship with you. I love you with all my heart. I miss you when you sleep, its my favorite to be greeted with you hiiii and your kisses. I sure love you Quinny Girl.
