Catching up - September 2011

September was an exciting month with Susan Jane's first day of preschool, cheer camp, new haircuts, and cousin Abbie's wedding. Here's a picture of Suz on her first day - she was soooooo stoked to be a big girl. She had her outfit all picked out and was so outgoing and comfortable at Miss Laurie's. She made tons of new friends at the open house and has been a socialite ever since - its stinkin adorable. I have a feeling her teenage years are going to give me a run for my money. My mom says I'm raising my self. Crap.

I really try to let my girls choose their extra-curriculars and not just push them to the things I'm more inclined to (except piano, that's a non-negotiable), but honestly - I think they love this stuff as much as I did,  all on their own. Maybe more.

Catching Up - August 2011

August marked a huge milestone for our family - our first little school girl! Arden Bea started kindergarten this year and she was sooooo excited! For the first day of school, we were invited to attend a neighborhood breakfast and walk-to-school with our friends. It is so fun to live in a community where everyone is involved and makes days like this fun. Arden picked out some fun new school duds and got a new haircut a few days later (pics below). What a sweet, fun, darling, and smart little lady - we're so excited to begin this adventure with her!

The kindergartners just had a little intro day where they listened to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, then did some fun activities to get to know eachother and become familiar with their new classroom.

On the home front, we spent the rest of August enjoying the absolutely gorgeous Utah summer weather. It is undoubtedly our favorite time of year here. We basically live outside.

Another fun milestone, back-to-school haircuts! I just love these little ladies in their short bobs. And this time they got to choose a special treat - a colored feather. They looooved this idea! Daddy, not so much. Good thing they weren't permanent. So cute though, really!

This one is just random, I just love my cute little post-bath nakee babies! So stinkin' cute!

Catching Up - July 2011

July was an amazing month with the annual Lamb Family 4th of July and our annual trip to Arizona including a Palmer Reunion in Pheonix. We always enjoy seeing our family - they are our favorite people!

And then our Arizona trip started out in Vegas to see the Parker's and Olivia's baptism. From there we headed to Gilbert to see Grandma & Grandpa Lamb and Nate and Lizzy's families. Next we went to Thatcher to see our Palmer grandparents and Jenni and Mark's families as well as all our extended family. Phew - sorry if I left anyone out. It was a fabulous trip! Catching Up - June 2011

Forgive me for being so overwhelmingly behind on this little blog of ours. My life is busy with so many good things and this seems to always take a backseat. Well, slowly but surely the backseat is getting some much needed attention. Here goes June (the month, not the girl - hee hee!).

To start off the month, we went to our amazing cousin Abbie's graduation dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was so nice to get away with just the babies and celebrate Abbie's big day. She has been such a big part of our lives these past couple of years. Our girls adore her and she has watched them countless time - every time they love her more. We are so grateful for amazing nieces and nephews that set such good examples for our girls. (And thanks to Abbie and McKinley for these pics)

Kinney with Ruby - she has also watched our girls on several occasions and they adore her! We love knowing we have so many capable and wonderful nieces we can call to help with our crazy monkeys.

In other news, it was a very appealing summer (sorry, couldn't resist): full of lots of swimming days in the backyard, visits from grandparents, smores, and gorgeous weather.



We also learned what a great playpen our trampoline enclosure makes. Juby loved it!

I had to share this cute little story - it was so funny to watch. It started with the girls hearing the ice cream truck cruising around the neighborhood. They were so excited and waited patiently for it to get to our street.
Well after hearing his annoying little ditty for nearly 15 minutes, we decided he wasn't coming down our street, so Mitch told this friendly little neighbor kid (on a bike) that if he'd bring us the ice cream man, we'd buy him a treat.
Three minutes later - problem solved. What a sweet daddy my girls have. He'll do anything to make them happy.
