Brynnley...

I think this picture literally says enough...

Splish Splash

We discovered (Or my friend told me about) a new splash park. It's a little different than the ones we have been to, i actually think almost better. The kids loved it! It has a section where there is a small stream/river running through it and a big squirting fountain part as well.
The kids loved it! Both Carson and Brynnley loved the river part. Carson liked to lay down in it and Brynnley liked to splash around and of course climb the rocks.
We went with Carson's friend Ava and of course they had a blast together.

It was so much fun, and I think we will be adding it to our list of places to visit often!

Cowabunga dude...

So ever since they started the new water park Cowabunga Bay in Draper Carson has been begging to go. Every single time we drove by it, he would ask "Is it open yet?" He was beyond excited when it finally opened. So since we are not going on any family vacations this summer (having to bake 900,000 cookies kind of does that...) I wanted to try and do some fun things around here.
I told Carson that if he did well in swimming lessons and listened and went under we could go. He did amazing in swimming lessons and is now sticking his face all the way under even when no one asks him too! So we finally found a good day for everyone and went to Cowabunga Bay. Carson was beyond excited and could not wait! It actually was a lot of fun! Carson loved every minute of it. Brynnley even loved the slides too. I would go down with her, set her outside the slide and before I could get up she was already half way up the stairs. The above picture is me going with her. She didn't even mind being doused in the cold water (for some reason all the water on the slides was cold!)

We also spent a lot of time in the lazy river. Carson loved just floating around and around. He didn't even have to hold onto anyone! (Huge water/swim progress for him this year!) Brynnley loved it to, although she wanted her own tube (Remember Miss Independent) so it was a little difficult keeping her in that.

Kyle and Carson on the "green" slide, of course you know Carson had to go on that slide a lot!Carson going down the yellow slide, he went down on his back, on his tummy, and face first!
Carson in the lazy river, he didn't want me to take a picture of course!
All of us relaxing in the pool by the lazy river! A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for coming with us!
Daddy & Brynnley in the tubes on the lazy river

Carson and Grandma in the lazy river.
We had a lot of fun and Carson is already begging to go back. We did discover for those of you who want to go, if you just go the last 2 hours it is cheaper and is the perfect amount of time for little ones!

Snow cones!

We love snow cones. We went a lot last summer with Carson and he remembered all through the winter. It would be December and he would ask when we could get a snow cone or if the place was open. So we are very excited it is snow cone season. We go a lot to get snow cones! Carson's favorite to get is green of course, anything green. However he says he always has to trade and eats at least half of everyone else that is with him.

Trying to decide with Grandpa what kind to get....We started her young, and she is a fan as well! She of course does not want any help at all! We just have to make sure we have a stain resistant shirt on her.Carson with his green and tangerine snow cone.Messy messy girl!Sometimes a little bit of a brain freeze!
We discovered a FABULOUS snow cone shack. We all agree it is the best shaved ice! They also donate part of their proceeds to people in Africa trying to start their own businesses! There is a big patch of grass right in front so the kids run around and up and down the hill and eat snow cones. Life does not get much better than a snow cone in the summer!

Brynnley- Miss Independent

So Kyle's new nickname for Brynnley is Beyonce, mostly become she has become a SUPER independent toddler. It still amazes me how different the kids personalities are so young. Brynnley does not like it when you try to do thing for her. She would much rather do it herself. Especially when it comes to food. She has to hold it her self or try and feed herself. Let me just say we take a bath at least once a day. (Yougart is the messiest to clean out of the hair I have discovered, although I do love the greasy hair of mac and cheese).
She also has started talking more, she has always jabbered we just never knew what she was saying. So now she still jabbers but sticks a few words in here and there. Her favorite words right now are "Ma ma Look" She walks around the house yelling "Ma ma, ma ma?" looking for me when she can not find me. As sometimes old as it gets, I love it every time! A few of her new words are book, cookie, and bye (it sounds like a southern bye, love it!). I just put a couple of videos on so you could see how much she really loves to talk about whatever she sees fit.

Car ride

Carson got this truck from his Grandparents last year for his birthday. He has loved it since the second he got it. He was so anxious to get it up from the basement when it was finally warm enough. This year we took the governor off so it goes faster. We also let Brynnley ride in it this year. It still makes me really nervous, but she loves it!
Every time we go outside they both want to ride in it. It is great because Carson has finally mastered this year how to really drive it. I am so impressed with his driving skills!
I just love their little faces in all of these pictures! So much fun!

4th of July Weekend

We had an amazing 4th of July weekend. (Sadly Kyle was not able to join us for most of it, he got a horrible outer ear -swimmers ear-infection, he even had to go to the emergency room because he was in so much pain. So he missed some of the festivities and had to work on Saturday.) The 4th of July is my second favorite holiday (I'm sorry I LOVE Christmas with a passion). I love all of the fun summer activities that are involved with the 4th! We spent the 3rd of July with my family the Randall's. It was so much fun! We woke up super early and went down to the balloon festival in Provo. Sadly we were a little late and missed them inflating. But we got there in time to all see them take off. Carson was so excited, his favorite was the Smoky the bear balloon. I couldn't wait for Brynnley to see all the balloons because I knew she would love it. I was right, the second she saw them all she just kept pointing and saying "Look, look, look, ma ma, look!"
Me and the kids at the balloon festival
Carson showing me that he found the smoky the bear balloon!

Carson talking to my mom and dad (Tennis Grandma and Grandpa). They called us from Africa! It was so awesome and we all got to say hi to them. We missed them greatly, I know how much they love the 4th and spending time with the family.

After the balloons we headed to Utah Lake. We borrowed my brother-in-laws father's boat and took it out on the lake. We had a really good time. Carson was a little nervous when he first got on, neither of my kids have been on a boat. He was really concerned it was going to go under the water. He kept asking me "Are we going to go under?". Once he realized we were not going under he loved it. He loved when we went super fast. It took me a while but I talked him into going on the tube. Brynnley had fallen asleep on me so he went with my brother. When he first got on, he screamed bloody murder. But being the mean mom I told them to send him out. As soon as he got out there he loved it! He kept wanting to go out again and again.
Brynnley liked the boat, it was a little too confined for her busy body. But she did enjoy when we went fast and when we were moving. Poor girl was so tired she fell right asleep on me! When she woke up I took her out on the tube. She loved it! I told her to wave and she stuck her little hand up and waved to everyone. I thought it was so adorable. We had so much fun and thanks to the Fowlers (Young and old) for letting us take along on the boat trip!
We came home and all had much needed naps. Then we headed over to the Fowlers for a yummy dutch oven dinner. We just visited and the kids played. My sister has a zip line in her back yard and Carson loves it, it is really hard to get him off of it. After dinner we went out and did a few fireworks. The kids had a lot of fun with all the fireworks.

Kyle had to work the morning of the 4th, so we mostly stuck around home. Kyle's parents came and took Carson to the Provo parade with them. He loved it, and loved spending time with his grandparents. Brynnley and I stayed home, Brynnley took a fabulous nap and I cleaned, very exciting I know!

That evening we went over to the Fords for a 4th of July BBQ. There were lots of family and friends there and super delicious food! Carson had fun playing with his friends and just being at grandma and grandpas house.
Sadie and Brynnley. Don't they look adorable and so festive!
After dinner we actually all came over to our house (plus a few more). We had dessert, popcorn (my friend let us use their movie popcorn machine, so cool and so tasty!) and fabulous fireworks! Everyone loved it. The kids all loved eating Popsicles and watching the fireworks. Carson has been asking for weeks when we got to do fireworks. He was so excited for the big firework show! His favorite one was the lady bugs (slightly illegal, but super cool!)Brynnley after sharing some of my ice cream sandwich. She was pretty content to just sit with whoever had the best thing to eat!Carson with his "green" sparkler!Kyle our firework pro, he loves putting on a good show! (Sorry I didn't mean that to rhyme)The kids enjoying popcorn and Popsicles, I couldn't one where all of them were looking of course!

After our own firework show we headed over to Thanksgiving point. Sadly though the mosquito's were horrible, they started 15 minutes late and my kids were exhausted. So after waiting for them, we only ended up staying for about 10 minutes. I was a little sad but could tell the kids were done. We came home and got kids and bed and I watch the rest from my bedroom window. (I am kind of nerd like that, I love fireworks!)

Our family, plus one...

Carson brought this home from church today. He was so excited to show me. I asked him who everyone was. He said "That's you, and there is Daddy, that's me, and baby Brynnley, that's Ava my girlfriend, and that Grandpa. That's about it!" He says with a big grin on his face!

Love em'

Carson: "Mommy can I go see Ice age with you?"

Mommy: "Sure"

Carson: "Are you scared of the dinosaurs in it?"

Mommy: "No"

Carson: "Its okay if you are, I will hold your hand."

Later that night

Carson: "Are crocodiles mean?"

Mommy: "Well sometimes, only when people bug them."

Carson"Yeah when they get too close. Do you know crocodiles have sharp claws and they claw like this? Did you know they will claw you on the head and get your hair? But if you say "Please don't crocodile he will stop.""

I know I will forget the fabulous things he says someday!
