Beautiful Baby Contest

I'm not one really for entering baby contests and things, but this one is kind of fun and if you win you get quite a bit. It is the Regis & Kelly baby contest. But it really isn't so much just babies. You can enter any child up to 48 months. Some of you have beautiful kids and should enter. It is super easy and you can enter a pictrue online. It just has to be a picture with in the last month.
Hey if you win, you get a lot of money towards college plus tons of other stuff plus a trip to New York. If you don't win your kid may end up online or even on TV with his pic. So here is the link if any of you are interested.

Oh and if any of you do win, I expect you to say on TV "Thank you to my wonderful and amazing friend Val!"

Eternity isn't long enough....

I think there are times in your married life that you really realize how much you love your spouse and how truly amazing they really are. How lucky you are to have them in your life. For me the past week has been one of those times. My love for Kyle has grown a lot over the years and he truly is such a blessing in my life. Maybe I am just extra emotional with the pregnancy but I have been reminded this week of how truly amazing he is.
He is such an amazing husband is always so worried and concerned about me. I have definitely been a lot more "weepy" this pregnancy and every time I call him he reassures me that everything will be okay and that I am going to be a good mother. This week has been extra hard for a few reasons and I have had some moments where I really thought to myself "He must really love me or he would not be here doing this for me." He is such an amazing person and such a hard worker. He always puts his whole self into everything he does, which at times can not be fun but it is one of his best qualities. He cares so much about everyone around him, not just his family, but his friends and anyone he can help.
He is such an amazing father. Carson wakes up every morning and asks to go see Daddy. Carson loves him so much and Kyle is always so good with him. There are so many times that Kyle just says to me he is so happy and loves Carson so much. Carson still talks about going to the Bee's movie with Daddy. It comes up at least once a day and it was over a month ago! I can tell it was one of his favorite times and that it meant a lot to both of them.
So I just want to send this out into the cosmic space for people to know and read. So they can know how lucky I am and what an amazing husband I have!

Merry Christmas!

Well we had a fantastic Christmas this year! It was so much fun because Carson understood a lot more of what was going on, plus he was more interested in the presents than the box this year which is always exciting. Carson was very excited to leave out milk and cookies for Santa, although he wanted to leave out some juice with the milk. The above picture is of Carson on his Diego bike, it didn't quite get the reaction I was hoping for but later in the day he got more excited about it. It is still a little big for him, but I think by the summer he will be big enough for it.
This was by far Carson's favorite gift of the day and I am so glad. I had wanted to get him the Little Einsteins pat pat rocket since I saw it, but we could not find it anywhere. Thank heavens Carson has amazing grandparents and they found it in Ohio and carried on the plane the whole way home. He loved it the second he opened it. He played with it non stop the whole day. Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa Ford!
Carson with his Toy Story toys, he loves setting them all up then taking them down and then setting them back up.

We hope you guys had a great Christmas as well!

Our little singer

So every once in a while we can get Carson to sing with us, most the time he tells us to stop singing, but once in a blue moon he will sing with us. It is so funny when he does it, so I was so excited to finally be able to get it on video. As you can tell by the video he thinks he is hilarious too when he sings, that is the best part. So I hope you enjoy our little singer...

Christmas a little early for Kyle (I promise we usually are not like this...)

Well I had a great idea this year to get Kyle an XBox 360 for Christmas, basically because he has been begging for one since the day he heard it was coming out. (I had someone commend me that I got him to wait that 2 years) Anyways, I decided to break down and get it for him this year.
He has been working so incredibly hard at work and it has been exceptionally busy with the holidays (which is a good thing!) But I was just feeling really bad because I could tell he was getting worn down. Well I was trying to figure out anything I could do to help him. But I don't think I would be much good as a manager, and besides knowing where the cookies are at Kneaders I'm not a ton of help there. So I figured the best thing for him, was what he loves to do the most to de-stress and relax. For him that is playing video games, for me a perfect hour would be someone rubbing my feet, watching Heroes, and eating chocolate covered strawberries. But obviously our views are different! So I decided to break down and give it to him early. Well as you can see by the pictures he was so incredibly happy.

It is the happiest I have seen him in a long time. He even told me I was the best wife ever, which always makes a wife feel good even if it is because of a video game. I promise we usually are not rule-breakers when it comes to Christmas gifts. I guess we just had a few exceptions this year.

Merry Christmas Babe-Happy NCAA, Madden, and Tiger Woods playing!

Cookie Play Date

I had a little Christmas Cookie play date for Carson and all of his friends. We had a few people who couldn't make it but we still had a lot of fun decorating Christmas cookies. Carson lasted the shortest amount of time, but the other boys loved it. Don't mind Carson's crazy hair either, we are trying to grow it out because anything has to be better than trying to cut it (basically imagine your kid screaming like his arm was being cut off, and that is Carson when you cut his hair.) So anyways, it is kind of in a weird phase.

Zoolights

We took full advantage of our zoo membership (Thanks again Mike and Holly!) and went up to the Zoolights at Hogle Zoo. It was freezing cold but we were all very impressed with how many lights and how good it was. The top picture is of Carson with the Gator, the Ghost of the Bayou. Kyle was convinced it was not real because he didn't move a muscle while we were there.
The Ford fam at the lights. Carson was so excited to go to Zoo, he talked about it all day and kept asking when we were getting there. I think he was a little disappointed though because we were not able to see too many real animals.
Carson and Grandma in front of the big kitty, I think he was looking for dinner because he kept pacing the window.
I know I look like a beached whale, I didn't realize until we got up there I would not be able to zip my coat, so I had to pile on as many things as we could find in the car to stay warm. But it was a lot of fun even though our noses were about to fall off with frostbite!

Ford Family Home Evening

The Fords started a monthly Ford Family, family home evening night. We have dinner and always do something fun. It is a lot of fun for all of us. I had to post this because I had some great pictures. We went to dinner at Thanksgiving Point and then we all crammed into Kyle's car and drove through the holiday lights at Thanksgiving Point. Carson loved it! We let him out of his car seat and he had his face smashed up against the window the whole time. It was so cute and so much fun, it was one of those moments when you realize how amazing your kids are in your life. All of us at Dinner.
My favorite picture of the night, Heather and Devin making out in the back seat, with Kelli looking over them. Ah to be newlyweds again.... I told them I was putting it on the blog and I'm sure they thought I was joking.

It's like nothing has changed....

My girlfriends from High School got together for our annual Christmas party. We have gotten scattered all over the past 6 1/2 years but we have some how managed to have a Christmas party every year. I think it is a great feat, considering how hard it is to get people together. We had so much fun though and it was like old times. Some one said during the night "It's like nothing has changed..." We are all in different places in our lives but our friendships are still very strong.

A visit to Santa (Play horror music in your head when you read this one...)

I decided to take Carson to try and see Santa this year. We tried last year and went to the breakfast with Santa thing and he screamed and screamed.

This is last years pic....
Well we thought we would give it a try this year since he is older. I took him to the mall and we got in line and he was all excited to see Santa. We got up to where we were the next in line and I could see panic hit his face. So I picked him up and we went over and he is screaming and crying and yelling. So I try sitting with him next to Santa and he lost it. He was freaking out and was holding my neck so tight I thought I was going to loose breathing ability. Luckily we didn't pay for any of the pictures. My mom tried snapping one real quick but something happened with the flash and it is one big ball of light. So just try to imagine in your head what it looked like, then imagine a little worse and that is what you have. What I found hilarious is he was all kinds of excited to tell Daddy about it that night and he was so happy and excited.
Maybe better luck next year....

A little bit of this, a little bit of that....

I thought I would post some of our pics from the week. (Can you tell I am loving the blogging thing....) This top pick is what we call the throwing game. I was inspired by a friend and fellow blogger to catch stuff like this on camera. It is fun memories and you will forget it later.
We moved our gigantic love sac down stairs into the living room because we are getting the nursery ready. Well Carson loves it because now he can play the throwing game. Kyle throws him and spins him all around and he loves it. Every time with out fail too, he shows us on the wall where once Grandma threw him and he hit his head, and he shows us where the owie on the wall is. We think it is hilarious, she is mortified by it.
Picking out a Christmas tree. I think Carson's favorite part was watching the lady cut off the bottom of the tree. For some reason this was fascinating.
Decorating the tree. Carson was showing us where to put the ornaments. He holds his favorite two in his hands. A Disney ornament and one of the Horseshoe, the Ohio State Buckeye's stadium.
Trying to get some pics for the Christmas card, we went a little more casual this year and I don't really want to send out a picture of me and my ugly fat face, so Carson gets the spotlight this year. We got a few with Harrison though too, he is Carson favorite play mate right now. We really are lucky that he is so gentle, Carson beats up on him. He loves to chase him all around the house though.
I made a tunnel for Carson to put some trains and cars through, but he liked it better as an outfit.

A day at the Aquarium

Our play date for today fell through so I decided to take Carson up to the Aquarium. We have a pass so we go up there a lot but he loves it up there, it is one of his favorite places to go. It was funny to have a mommy/son date. We even went out to lunch afterwards.

The above pic is Carson petting the sting rays. He actually has not really pet one, but loves playing in the water.
One of his favorite parts, the Sharks. He calls all the gray ones "Bruce" from Nemo, and then the other tiger sharks.
Carson driving the boat.

A pic with mom, yeah not the greatest but still cute.

Snow Day

Carson and I went out and played in the snow today (It was actually Wednesday). It was one of the first snow storms of the year that actually stuck. But as you can see it was not a big one. But Carson still had fun. Kyle and I had a good laugh just watching him trying to walk in all of his snow gear.
He was obsessed with eating the snow, yes I know it is extremely unhealthy. But how much snow did you eat when you were little, I know I ate a lot...

Our little snow bunny!

Christmas a little early for me!

Well I told Kyle that I really, really wanted a digital camera before the baby got here. We have a really nice camera, but it is huge and really expensive and so I get nervous taking it places. So I wanted a smaller one so I could take more pictures and use it more often. Well as usual Kyle always gives the best Christmas gifts and he got me a new digital camera. He decided to give it to me early so we could use it this month and figure out how to use it by Christmas. I absolutely LOVE it! It is my new favorite thing right now!! So I probably will be posting a lot more because now it is a little easier. Don't I have the best husband in the world.

Oh, he thinks though that now he should get a few of his gifts early, I am strict on my Christmas present opening rule..... so sorry babe!

What's in a name...

So after much thinking, arguing, debating, researching, discussing, asking and much much more I think Kyle and I have picked the two names we are going to take to the hospital for the baby girl. So we want to know what you all think, give us your opinions and let us know.

Here they are.....
Brynnley (Nickname Brynn)
Landree

We are still on the fence about middle names, we like Anne and Ella but don't love them with those names so the jury is still out on the middle name.

Childrens Museum

Carson and I went up to the Childrens Museum today with one of his friends from the ward/nursery. We had a lot of fun, I just wished we lived closer. It is a great way to wear him out for his nap!
The above pic is him flying the helicopter, or as he calls is the helacart. Close enough by me...

Carson and his friend Cohen driving the car. He made me drive for a little bit and he sat in the back seat. He also wanted me to put the gas in. At least he is observant of what we do!

This is Carson and Cohen playing with in the ball room. The loved these tubes where you opened the tube and it sucked the ball up. It was probably the favorite of the day.

Carson loves fireman right now. He loves looking for fire trucks and every time we go to the library he asks to see the firetrucks (the fire station is next to the library). So he was pretty excited to get dressed up like a fireman.

Happy Thanksgiving.... Happy Thanksgiving back

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a great Thanksgiving this year. It was my parents turn for Thanksgiving so we got up early and headed down to Fairview. Once again we were reminded that we are glad we don't live in a small town in the middle of no where. But my parents love it down there.
The highlight for Kyle was probably my new brother in law bringing his wii down. Kyle loved it and I had a hard time tearing him away from it, and if any of you know Kyle you now know that he wants one.
Carson's highlight of the day was seeing the deer outside Grandma and Grandpa's house. The above picture is of him and his cousin looking at the deer. (Although I don't think you can see the deer in the picture but they are there.)
My highlight was the whole day, I love Thanksgiving! I love being with family with good food and it means that Christmas is near. Which if you know my, you know I am obsessed with Christmas.
We had a great time down in Fairview and then we headed up to Highland to have pie with Kyle's parents. Except for a major melt down from Carson because he did not get a long enough nap, it was a great day.
Hope you all had a great holiday!
(Oh and if you can tell me what movie the title is from you get a gold star..... One of my favorite movies...)

Halloween as George the Monkey

We had a great Halloween day this year. Carson decided to be a monkey. He always says like George the monkey. He really likes curious George. But whenever he puts the costume on he makes the sound of a monkey too. Sorry the pictures are a little out of order. I am still figuring out this blog thing...

We started by carving pumpkins with the Fords on Sunday night. Carson said he wanted a "Bullseye" on his pumpkin. He loves toy story and all of the characters from it. He actually calls his baby sister "Bullseye". So I had to get creative with the knife, if you can't tell it is a bullseye and a woody.

I took Carson into Kneaders for lunch in his costume. The picture of him and Kyle is at Kneaders. Kyle dressed up as a trucker, let me tell you he looked good....

I took some pictures of Carson before we headed out. There I am looking very fat and pregnant. So those of you that have been asking there are the pics.

We took Carson trunk or treating up to the Fords, mainly becasue his favorite friend "Josie" lives up there. I think he was more excited to see Josie than to go trunk or treating. But we had a good time and he almost lasted the whole time!

Pumpkin Picking-Or Carson calls them punkins...

Here are a few pictures of us picking pumpkins with the Fords.

Kyle and Carson, Carson now says "cheese" whenever we pull a camera out, but we can't seem to catch him while he is smiling. Carson takes after his Grandpa Randall while driving the tractor.

This is the closest picture I have of me showing, I promise I am showing. I am way bigger already than I was with Carson at this point.

Summer 2007

Carson riding horses at Uncle Devin's, this horse's This is Kyle and Carson on the 4th of July
name is Tammy, pronounced "Tappy" by Carson.
He still talks about riding Tappy with Daddy and
Pa pa (Grandpa)

Carson is and has been obbsessed with Buzz Lightyear. So the above picture is him in his Buzz lightyear pajamas (even though they are really way too small). He loves to climb into small spaces and this was him inside his dirty clothes hamper.

He also got a trampoline for his 2Nd birthday. Yes an extravagant gift, but if you saw how much engery he has, you would understand why!!

This is Carson blowing bubbles, one of his favorite things to do. Especially with his Aunt Heather.
Well these are a few pics from our summer.
