#4sqDay 2011

haluuu... people of the world!

this is a live update from frontera sol of mexico!

width="225"

its #4SqDay today! foursquare day is on april 16th: are you celebrating too?

i understand that foursquare day is a community-driven event that was started last year by nate bonilla-warford and jessica barnett. walter elly has recently joined their team.

most companies usually only get to celebrate themselves once a year, on the day their company was founded or product launched. for foursquare, that’s in mid-march, when SXSW hosts its annual tech (interactive) extravaganza in austin, texas. not content with just one day though, the new york city-based startup has been trying to get users and businesses on board with the movement to make april 16th the official “foursquare day” (get it? four squared equals 16. someone in marketing is a clever devil...).

and for updating my 4sq from here, i managed to unlock the #4sqDay 2011 Badge!... w00tz! ツ

so if you are in klang valley, come-on down now to celebrate too! once you registered, you will receive a set of such a kewl 4sq Swags from the organizer. get more info about this meet-up here.

are you moist enough?

being a busy mom of 2 growing-up kids, both in primary and secondary school isn’t that easy. sun lights can age you, she always wanna look her best, and fatigue can dull your skin. here’s how kuE manage to still look fresh, and vibrant after all that WHEN she give you advice on how to take good care of your skin, you listen. and listen well~

vaseline_1283544656

i have always been praised for having vibrant and young, healthy-looking skin. on top of that i also have always been mistaken as my dd puteri's sister... hah! even fellow blogger friends i met at the nuffnang sharing session at modesto's capsquare recently was shocked at first though, when i mentioned that i was the eldest in the group :)

well i believe in and actually apply lotions on my skin—is something special for me. taking care of my skin is a top priority. i always make sure i get to clean and moisturize my skin because you never know when age is going to catch up on you. for me, having great skin is important because it’s a sign of being healthy. i never sleep with make-up still on my face. i wash my face day and night and whenever i feel it’s needed.

i like to keep things simple. aside from eating healthy, getting enough rest is a must for me to ensure that i get healthy, glowing skin. and as you could see, line dance is part of my passion now. i in fact is promoting line dancing as an alternative exercise activity-it is much more fun than sweating at the gym!!!

honestly, because of my busy schedule, the only time i get to pamper my skin and body is during bath time, which takes about an hour and a half at most. of course, this is the time i put on the lotion afterwards. i make sure i get a lotion that smells good and leaves no greasy feeling while making my skin soft.

when i get time off, i enjoy a good book in my room.

vaseline, a skin care and hand & body lotion brand in business for more than 130 years across the world, proves its leadership as the skin expert with the launch of the vaseline amazing skin communication campaign – a global campaign that invites everyone to take a look at skin the way we do: up close and personal. with the launch of the campaign, vaseline also introduces its new body lotion range catering to different skin needs, with variants like total Moisture, healthy white, intensive rescue, and aloe cool and fresh.

first, a look at the background. there are many of us who do not realise how amazing skin is: that is shown by how many of us only see skin as a small part of our daily needs, and only give it the minimum of nurturing, or not think about it at all. but skin is part of the body, and it is grown and developed with us from the time we are born until now, protecting us from the weather, and allowing us to touch and feel the rest of the world outside ourselves. it also provides protection for the whole body.

from what i understand, with this in mind vaseline is launching their communication campaign with the theme ❝celebrate amazing skin❞, to challenge us to take care of our skin by giving it the best treatment to meet its needs, to make every one of us feel comfortable with our skin, because vaseline believes that everyone’s skin is amazing. our skin can be a reflection of who each of us are as a person, and can express us for ourselves. that is how amazing the role and the function of skin is - it allows us to enjoy our lives.

vaseline knows skin very well, it is an expert in skin moisturizing and it always makes our skin look amazing.

i want to make sure that when people touch my skin, they’ll feel how smooth and flawless it is.

unlike other brands, vaseline does not expressly tell users to keep away from the sun. on the contrary, vaseline will make you feel safe because it is there to moisturize your skin whenever it gets exposed to the sun’s harmful rays. what makes vaseline stand out among the rest is its non-greasy feel and its vitamin E. plus, the lotion would leaves an amazing scent on your skin.

i hope people realize that true beauty lies beyond beautiful skin. being beautiful for me is having that inner peace and true happiness which reflects in your aura. i only want the best for me.

getting—and actually keeping—my glowing, vibrant, and healthy skin is indeed as easy as one-two-three. it’s simple: eat healthy, get enough rest and exercise, cleanse your skin and apply your favorite lotion for that moisturizing touch ❤

funsupermart.com versus other distributors:

fundsupermart.com

why fundsupermart.com?
  1. specialization

  3. shorter transaction time and great service

  4. better research content and online tools
they conduct their own research with their own proprietary data and analytical tools, and they sieve the most topical news report. you could also browse through chart centre, fund returns calculator, funds Selector and other
tools yourself which may not only help you to select funds, but also build your winning portfolio.

  5. strong owners
iFAST-osk sdn bhd is the joint venture between malaysia’s osk investment bank bhd and iFAST corp. iFAST capital sdn bhd, a subsidiary of iFAST-osk sdn bhd, has a capital market services (CMS) license from the securities commission to offer unit trusts and investment advisory services. iFAST capital sdn bhd is also registered with the federation of investment managers malaysia (FIMM) as an institutional

  • what is the usual amount for unit trust investment?

  • usually, the first time investment for majority of funds will be RM1,000. upon the completed transaction of the initial investment, investors may purchase subsequently at RM100 or more. however, in fundsupermart.com, this is not a problem because investors may choose to begin investing regularly every month with just RM100!

P5302940

the presentation already ended at this moment actually but most of the bloggers were still there mingling around

P5302942

me with nuffies' linda and nicholas. linda did a great job as an emcee even though she was kind of a bit shy...

overall i could say that the presentation was done in a good and easy, and timely manner actually. but like i mentioned earlier, i guess for those who are not really keen with numbers (i.e. me!) might find it quite technical. anyway thanks to linda for email-ing us some details on fundsupermart.com, if not i also don't know of how on earth i am gonna blog about this... *phew*

fundsupermart.com will revolutionize the way you invest in unit trust. it has never been easier or more hassle free to invest around the world! find out how investing can be fun through fundsupermart.com.

“It’s Krrunch Time, Get Playful!”

It's 4th day of Syawal! Some people already started working especially those in banking industry, and also some offices no matter in government or private sectors. While kiddos are still on Raya holidays until this Sunday! wohooo!!!... Better let them enjoy the “Krrunch” yo... Can't hassle them much also, not good occay?!!...

Basically my online timing was kinda off a bit during these days lor... I only managed to sign on around noon today. One of the "must" visit site is of course none other than my FB page. As soon as I signed on, I was like: "Oh my GOD!!!"...

2

A junior of my former secondary school typed this on her FB status: "Sat lg nak siap pg beraye kat umah Kak... tgh mkn cup cakes yg Kak... bg bawak balik semlm... yummy..." (translation: going to celebrate hari raya (eid mubarak) at kuE's house in a little while... am eating cupcakes now, given by kuE yesterday... yummy...).

1

Like I mentioned earlier, it's already 4th of Syawal now. We don't have much thingy to be served to them... there's no more lemang, rendang and what's not!

So I quickly grabbed my car keys and off I went!...

3

Check-out the clear blue sky people... Aren't we feel sooooo damn lucky to have this kind of weather during a festive season? It's way easy for us though to go and visit our relatives and friends. But anyhow I had an important mission to go through first!

4

The main road along Clifford School (yes, this is how local veterans called the school!) was smooth... kewl! I can't have much hope though, while tapping my fingers away on the steering wheel; with hope that the road will be just like that all the way...

5

And when I was about to reach the "Jam Besor" (Big Clock Tower)... Holy SH*T!!! Look at the traffic to/fro every corners of the roundabout junction people especially towards the Jalan (road) Kangsar (the 3 o'clock turning).

6

Then I headed straight to a local mini market. I searched everywhere, hi and low, and finally...

7

Thank God that there were only two tubes of Pringles left! *phew*

You people don't know of how happy I am until now, smiling from ear-to-ear seeing what I was thinking of. Whatever it is, at least there's something that nothing at all!

8

And now... I am all ready with my open hearts, waiting for my guest to be arrived!!!...

9

Besides that, of course I also have some Raya money packets to be given away... Hah! those in the pic below are mine actually, courtesy of my lil' sis and lil' bro hehee...

Hey! btw KL-Kualè is not that far ler... You will only take about 2.5 hours drive :)

nuffnang music bash 2009

caution: this is a long blog post with stories and quite a number of pics. don't say that i have never warned you! ;)

i received an email from nuffnang about this party when i was in kl for the "blogging & law" conference. then i thought to myself that maybe ok lor... i would gave it a try. so i came out with this simple entry... nothing special also one. i just used some of my old pics, then voila! i got an official invitation to nuffnang music bash 2009 about a week before the party.

since i could bring a guest, so i brought puteri along. don't get the interpretation wrong ya... i know puteri will be sitting for her pmr exams this year. she has never been out of town since the school started this year, but perhaps maybe to the nearest one ipoh for some weddings or something. other than that, she has been concentrating on her studies. she didn't even go anywhere during the last one week school break last month. so this time i was just like giving her a chance to have a short break to ease her mind. we all need it once in a while ourselves don't we?

we reached jalan yap ah shak around 6pm or so. for a person who-has-never-been to maison, i could say that i am very good at reading a map although i glance thru it at the website once only!

we went straight inside after registered ourselves. we didn't expect to see anyone anyway, just hentam-keromo je pi... :)

when i was sitting at a corner with puteri, i realized that i probably saw someone i maybe knew. like a blogger you see. we bloggers read other blogger's blogs and saw each other's pics then became blogger friends. obviously its not that hard actually for us to recognize ourselves when we meet in reality. so that's roughly how its like if you go to any bloggers' meet. its no different with the nuffnang music bash 2009 recently as well. because she is not living in kl anymore; but still make it a point to go to kl once in a while, i guess i am very good at finding the place by just glance thru at the map on maison's website once only. how kewl was that huh?!! eventually we left mama and megat at my auntie's (mama's sister) place in taman tar, ampang.

nuffnang music bash 2009

so after quite some time i decided to go outside to check-out of what's been happening there. puteri stayed inside because she was a bit shy, that's why you won't see her face in any of the pics.

guess what people when i walked out, i bumped in to the girl that i thought i recognized earlier. we were right in front of each other face-to-face, and oh my god!... she's Diese!!! apparently she was there in UM too for the "blogging & law" conference. besides that we went to the same movie premiere screening in penang some time last year. and finally we met on last saturday hehee...

nicholas of nuffnang also remembered me from many of my facebook updates :)

nuffnang music bash 2009

as you could see from the above pics, outside situation were more havoc. you know... bloggers tend to do what most bloggers always do—camwhore!!! including me of course—

by this time i already went upstairs. 6 laptops have been set-up for bloggers to do live blogging. bloggers will get the chance to win a canon digital ixus 870 is.

while i was up there, two more games were going on like celebrity trivia and nuffnang music bash 2009 hall of fame.

nuffnang music bash 2009

grand feast: i was still upstairs. while i was typing away (read my live blog post that night here), a gal blogger next to me wanted to get some food downstairs. she has more to type. so she was asking whether i could help her to watch out for that laptop she was using. you know what people... i told her to click 'save now' from the new post page, so that the blog post will be saved in the draft folder. but when my kinky eyes saw her screen name on top left of the page, i was like: "haaa... BLue? so you are BLue?" see... how happy nye when bloggers met each other lol...

nuffnang music bash 2009

nuffnang music bash 2009

Bryan who was one of my teammates in samsung innov8 run, was there too. hey... i wore high heels but he still looks taller than me hehee...

as for the second part of the game, contestants had to dance exactly as per beyoncé' single ladies video—

thank god i didn't join this ya... if not just imagine of how was i supposed to cope with my long dress right *phew* and the best part was when Liang was damn excited to see of how the contestants do 0:53. everyone were laughing like hell i tell you rotfl...

EV@yenniedoll was one of the winners. i am not sure of who was the lucky guy. yes even guys have to do it to win as well! they won an armani belt each.

nuffnang music bash 2009

look who i met!

i would like to thank nuffnang and maxis broadband for the great and wonderful event as usual. i could see that everyone walked home happily. hope to see you all again next time!

to all the bloggers i met: it was nice meeting you all.

we didn't wait any longer when the party ends. i brought my school-going daughter remember? see, i still know my responsibilities as a mother. anyhow i simply drove along jalan bukit bintang, jalan imbi and jalan tun razak before we headed to jalan ampang. aiyaa... its been quite some time since this lady haven't seen kl life on saturday nights you see hehee... of course its so much different now than those times i.e. the yellow guy! and all those shuffle dance lol... madness!

we overnight at my auntie's place that night. mama already text me earlier that my auntie didn't let us drive to denai alam (lil sis' place) in the middle of the night! huhuu... so when we reached my auntie's apartment at around 11.30 pm, mama and megat already in their slumberland.

both puteri and i slept quite late anyway. i took the time to upload the pics and videos; and also some browsing etc. what when i could get online easily from there! without the hassle of finding places with wifi facilities. the best thing was even though my auntie do not have computer or even any internet access, i was damn lucky that someone in the building used wifi weee~
