I thought this idea was really neat...my cousin Heather over at a Goddess in Progress thought of doing this....so please read below and let me know what you think...you can also
visit her blog here if you want to get in contact with her....
It works like this.
We decide on a place we want to go.
(With my friends it was San Diego.)
And then we figure the amount of miles it would take to get there.
(It was about 300 -from the Phoenix Area)
Then we
walk, jog, bike, run, swim
whatever
our way there.
Mile for mile on a bike or treadmill or the street
and
one mile for every 11 minutes of cardio in another form of exercise.
Then,
when all the miles are accounted for...
We go.
(We didn't actually end up in San Diego.
BUT I did work out more than I ever have before
and we DID take a very fun, and very deserved trip together!)
Since we are all spread out I was thinking maybe we could
tweak it so we group our miles and begin in L.A. and end
in Florida or New York or someplace in the East...
just to see if as a group we can "walk" across the U.S.
Or maybe we can just make groups based on location and
actually meet up for a trip.
? ? ?
So, any takers?
