So the other night I was putting Cameron to bed, after singing a few songs and telling him a story I was on my way out of the room when he stopped me in my tracks by asking me to sing "The Crocodile Baby Song" THE WHAT? "The Crocodile Baby Song". It took me a few minutes to figure out that he actually meant "Rock-A Bye-Baby", so of course I had to oblige but only because he was so gosh darn cute. I love being a Mom!!!Tuesday, May 20, 2008
Kids say the Cutiest things!

So this is what we did....
I told Cameron that the Pirates (his new favorite thing to play) need his sippy cups.
We put it on the front porch and the "Mail Man" came to pick it up. Cameron was so excited when he saw that it was gone. And other than asking for a cup at bed time it went pretty well, the next day the Pirates sent him a new big boy cup and a pirate patch that he rarely takes off. Over all I think it was pretty successful, the fewer the tears the better in my book.

Taking a Break....
Wednesday morning five of Kevin's sisters and I set off. We kissed the children, reassured the husbands and were off to Women's Conference. Kristi and I left first so we could get in some good shopping in Park City before we met the others in Prove for dinner and more shopping. Classes started on Thursday morning so we had to get all the "important stuff" out of the way first. Since we have attended the Conference before we determined that staying in the dorms is the way to go. We checked in at around ten' thirty but I don't think we actually got to sleep until after Three. I do have to say I've heard horror stories about in-laws especially sister in-laws but other than a few little quarks mine are GREAT. We have been attending this conference for about five years now and I have gotten to be a lot closer to them because of the bonds we have formed there. We stayed up late laughing like teenagers and crying like moms its nice to have a little down time and enjoy each others company and support. We spent the next two days being fed both spiritually and physically (hanging out with a bunch a women brings out the food!!!) I felt the spirit of my Heavenly Father so much these pat few days , and I realized that I need to do more to have that spirit in my home as a constant companion. I really feel so rejuvenated and excited about my role as a wife and mother I feel as if I have received some great tools that will help me to accomplish the goals I have for myself and for my marriage. Being a wife and mother is something I always dreamed about, and I wouldn't change it for anything, but as all you mothers know sometimes we just need a break.I want to thank my Mom and Mother in Law for helping Kevin with Cameron while I was gone and making it easier for me to get away, I love you both and appreciate all you do for me. I was so happy to get home on Friday night (to a clean house) and give my sweet little boy and my hottie of a husband a big KISS. I am so grateful to a loving Father in Heaven who has blessed me with two amazing guys. I love them both more than word can say and I appreciate them for letting me take a much needed break to get back on track. I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
