OUCH!

I took the kids to Sonic to join some friends and enjoy some cool refreshments and play time on the playground.  I was sitting talking with friends when I glanced up to check on the kids.  Katie was near me climbing up a twisty type of ladder, when all of a sudden, BAM!  A kid who looked like he was easily 12 swung to go down the ladder without looking and kicked his foot right into Katie's face.  She then proceeded to fall about 5 feet to the ground (which is luckily sand), but not until hitting against the ladder again on the way down.  You can imagine I was NOT happy this.  Not only did I run to make sure Katie was ok, but I wanted to rip that kid off the playground and give him a serious beating.  Of course I didn't do that, however I did yell at him to watch where he was going and that he needed to be more careful since there were alot of little kids around.  I then inspected Katie and found her to have a few scraps, but it didn't look so bad because she was covered in sand.  Once we got home I had her take a shower and we then noticed her war wounds.  It wasn't as bad as I was worried it would be, she ended up with a black eye, some scraps on her face and shoulder and a bruise on her chest area, but she survived.  I think she was just more scared that anything (and that goes double for me)!

Announcement

I guess it's about time I announced this on my blog:)  No- I'm not getting fat- there really is an excuse for the bump:)  These are the only pictures I have so far- not the best, but Kenny thought he was being funny!  I'm due September 23rd, and we will hopefully find out soon what it is!  Let's just say it's going to be a "FUN" summer!

Cole's Birthday Party! AARRGGG!

Cole had a Pirate Birthday Party this year.  He got to invite some friends and they all had a great time playing on the "pirate ship"!

We got them styrofoam swords and they loved attacking any helpless person they could find!
Even the adults got into the spirit of the party:)

Hitting the Pinata!
This next one is probably my favorite picture!  He really seems excited about whomever he was chasing:)  It must have been Kenny.

In the beginning of the party we had hidden treasure chests for each kid, and I made individual maps for them.  Cole really got into this and was following the map to the T!
At one point he started to get a little lost and daddy had to come to the rescue!

Cole said he wanted a pirate ship cake, but he said he wanted cupcakes- so I got creative:)

Mischief

What happens when 2 little boys disappear into an older sisters room and find a stamp pad:

Creative, aren't they!

The Birthday Cake Ghost

Evidently there is a birthday cake ghost that likes to take his fingers and put them into birthday cakes.  I figured I would warn you all.  The finger prints appear to be that of a 4 year old.  The strangest part about it is that mysteriously the birthday boy's fingers and edges of his mouth will turn brown?!?!  Crazy!
Here's a picture of the birthday boy with his newest weapon!

ANOTHER Snake!

I thought I would add some pictures of our newest casualty!  May I add that I am not mourning it!  We got this little guy in our backyard and Kenny "took care of it".  The good news is that it is not poisonous.  It was an Eastern Hognose, the same that we had in our garage 1 1/2 years ago.  Only this one was a baby.  Baby or no baby I still don't want it anywhere near my house!

Easter 2009

The kids had fun hunting for Easter eggs in the afternoon.  They had to wait until after church to find them, so I know that was killing them:)!  Easter landed the day after Cole's birthday party, so they all had a super fun weekend filled with lots of sugar!

While the girls posed for the camera, Cole took the opportunity to get in some extra "egg finding" time!

Comparing their "loot".

Since I am preggo our Easter dinner this year consisted of left over pizza and breadsticks from Cole's Birthday Party from the day before.
