What has Coby been up to?

I feel like we have been partying for a week. No, we were not able to give Coby a sweet sixteen party like you see on MTV, but we have certianly had fun. In between Coby's indoor FUTSAL soccer games, we went to a nice dinner at Tucanos. What a fun place for a family to go. My mom and dad came, along with Nate's dad Allen and Donna. Of course Coby's little sister was just as excited for Coby's birthday as he is.

We almost didn't fit in the rocket. Coby loved tomorrow land. Space mountain was his favorite ride.

It was fun to be there for the holidays. Cass got her turn sitting on Santa's lap. Hopefully he can remember what kids that live in Utah want, since she told him her list while in California.

Disney trip 2011

Our three days at Disneyland, and Disney's California adventrue we're a lot of fun.

The last time I was there was 1988 and California Adventure was a parking lot.





Giving Thanks

We are so thankful that Cassidy had a "scratch" test at the Allergist, and some of her tree nut allergy is going away. We can start introducing almonds and coconut. This is great news for her and our family. Her whole life she has had to read labels and watch what she eats. I didn't realize how trapped she felt until the other day we shopped a bit and bought almond milk, and she had a piece of carrot cake(that had coconut in it). It is a new found freedom for her, and we are happy for her.

And... we are off to DISNEY LAND. The kids have never been... NEVER. N and I both did the family thing about 25 years ago.. so we are off on an adventure.

Cake Bites

Big N is having a birthday. His 37th. He wanted cake bites. I asked him to show off his new running watch in these photos. He is being silly, but I sure do love him.

Halloween Recital

Cassidy has the best piano teacher. We love Teacher Mari. Mari had a Halloween recital this year instead of Christmas.(love it!) The songs were so fun, a few from Pirates, and some from Nightmare before X-mas. Cassidy played "It is Halloween" from Nightmare before Xmas. Of course there were the oldies but goodies, Halloween Cat, The Adams Family and the Siamese Cat song. Cass has been taking lessons for a year and was able to play her piece without her book of music. Grandpa and Grandma Gee came, as well as Nate's parents and sister Stacey. Coby was there too(he made the honor roll today!). Genny, Annalynn and Aunt Marian came as well.

Halloween 2011

Shan has invited us to the town business trick or treating a few years in a row, last year it was a down pour of rain. We made it this year, the weather was so nice. The kids had a great time. Cassidy felt  grown up walking around with her cousins and friends. Then she had a meeting planned for neighborhood trick or treating with her friend West. I wish Coby liked Halloween as much as the rest of the family.Maybe we can come up with something one of these years to make him want to be involved.

The Half Marathon runners.

My friend Sharon and I have been training for a half marathon. We waited to see what the weather would be before we registered and we waited too long.. the entry fee had gone up from $50 to $100. We have some fun stuff planned for the family coming up and I didn't want to spend that much moolah. My WONDERFUL AMAZING husband, mapped out 13.1 miles for us to run. He figured out a course around our house, the provo trail and Utah Lake, he even ran it with us.
He ran it in 2:19 and Sharon was 2:52 and I was 2:53. I think we are pretty awesome since we are just starting to get into the running thing. It was super hard, HARD!! One of the hardest things I have done in my life. A great experience with two great people I love.

A day with Witches

Shan and I took the girls to Gardners Village for breakfast and stopped at Vineyards patch on the way home. We all wore a witch costume. I shouldn't forget but sometimes I do, how much Cas loves activites that involve a challange, like mazes and scavenger hunts. She loves to race around and discover things, she is amazing and so much fun. We love spending time with our cousins.

Captian Sulley

I had the oppurtunity to meet Capt. C Sullenberg, Captin Sulley at a internet banking conference in LA. It was fun to have lunch and talk with him. Capt. Sulley successfully landed and saved the lives of passengers and crew members on a flight out of New York.  He landed the plane in the Hudson River after a flock of Canadian Geese flew into one of the engines in Jan 2009. It is remarkale to think of all the lives he affected that day, and if the outcome would have been different. This is not a great photo, it was taken by a friend, glad I have it.

Utah FC

Coby has been playing club soccer for Utah FC all summer and fall. The season is winding down. The team has struggled, but the games have been really fun to watch. Coby plays with some of his soccer friends from Provo High, as well as schools from around the county.

Tarzans Bathtub

We took the kids on a hike to tarzans bathtub...Cannon brought a friend Ali Gordon. The dog loved this hike.
