Around the house in March

My little girls surprise me all the time by their imagination, their creativity and their love for life.
Toti built a sail boat. She definitely misses Grandpa.

Elena wanted a Rainbow Loom, sadly you can't find them here.
No worries, Daddy and Elena made two!
Little Lulu!
Laura came to help me make this beautiful dress :-)
Great accomplishments call for awesome celebrations with Amazing friends.
And sushi :-)
Reading time at the Library.
Luisa loves it, as much as she loves her cape :-)
David and Dave went exploring the desert, and they found water!!

We found different ways to peel a hard boil egg. This one is the coolest one!

Hydrophobic Sand.

Hydrophobic Sand = Sand that has a fear of water.

This year for the WEP the girls and David decided to participate in the Science fair. They made waterproof sand!!
It was fun for them to do it with their daddy and to learn about things having fears as well.
Science girl
Their experiment was so great that they won third place!!! They got vouchers to the IT store and got themselves each an iPod shuffle.

Needless to say they really want to do it again :-)

Up in The Alps!

Our amazing travel agent booked us a small trip up in the Alps bordering with Austria!!
(our travel agent is David BTW)
A lunch stop on our way there.
Don't worry, we had already had pizza and lasagna before the chocolate waffle.
Our travel agent booked us a cabin and this was the "backyard"
I don't know how cold it was but somehow all three girls went to play out there for a bit.
I am sure I would have died if I had been out there for more than two minutes.
There were three bathrobes in there :-)
Potato and Leak soup for a cold winter night :-)
Then, the very next day,  we drove up then we took a............

Lift way up high.
At the very top !!!!

Sledding!!!
Yes, Daddy took us sledding.
We went down a run for about 2km, it was super fun, but crazy tricky with all three girls.
David took Luisa on his back on the Ergo, while he sat behind Victoria in one Sled. Luisa didn't love it but I am pretty sure it was due to her being so bundled up, cold and in a crazy position. Victoria LOVED it, absolutely LOVED it.
Elena got to ride with me and let me tell you, we are the chickens in the family. We were doing great until we started flipping over on the turns and got run over a  couple of times. We should have worn better clothes but we seem to always run into this kind of trouble. Oh well, it was an awesome adventure.
David and Victoria went down one more time and Luisa, Elena and I just went down a small hill at the entrance.
The girls played in the snow for a while but they were really cold, so we went back, got all warm and celebrated!!!

First snow angel!!

It just so happened to be Victoria's 6th Birthday!!!

We had chocolate cake after lunch.
Then we went back to the cabin and had Arepas with Ham and Cheese, some yummy juices.

And chocolate cake!!!
It was a  wonderful day, we made so many memories and enjoyed celebrating with Victoria.

6 year with this crazy girl, we are absolutely lucky!

Right before leaving.

We drove around Jeddah and found the best "Dirt window art"

Saudis in Audis...
Or Fords :-(
We were prohibited to visit the Hallway.

We witnessed the joys of childhood.
BFFs!
We saw the "Professor" in action ;-)
He enjoys seriously cute company.

We had our Christmas dinner a tad early.
She is analyzing the reason behind the lack of matching serving dishes.
No worries my child, one day you'll understand.
We had a visitor...
SANTA!!!!!
She wasn't asking for books or a trip to Barcelona.
She was, most likely, explaining to him why she didn't believe he was the real deal.
So EXCITED!!!!
Not to sit on his lap, she knew what was coming.
We are a lucky bunch.
Santa, explaining that the chocolates are all his!
(Even though Mom said we should share. No, I didn't taste a single one!!!)
We were able to witness one of the last "Firsts"
First time opening presents on her own.
We were able to witness love, admiration and creativity from one member to the rest of the family.

Victoria made every one a gift all by herself.
We met "Santa Baby!"
We got super excited for our trip to come :-)

A few bits before the guests of honor arrived.

Saudi National Day, as always KAUST made it a fun celebration.

Date night dinner. David and I devoured it all :-)
Sometimes we need our friends to share our favorite books with.
Lalaloopsy #1
Lalaloopsy #2
Lalaloopsy #3!
Open house for Victoria
Reading glasses are a must!
Last Christmas I gave Elena about 30 bookmarks.
She's reading the red book, Victoria the blue one.
Another sweet, amazing, loving friend has left.
Best to you my dear friend.
Meanwhile my lovely T (who moved away a while ago) came to visit and I got to hug her twice!!!
Halloween look this year!
My Mommy got me the lashes and bling!!
Nanny the Ninja and the apple!

We were just filling out the time from when we got back from the US until late Oct, because we had two amazing people come to visit us!!!
Next, their visit...

Fun in UT

After our Seattle adventures we flew to see David's parents and my Mommy Mama!

And, because I want to be all caught up before the amazing Christmas break I will not re arrange the photos. Instead you get to think that you are dancing some Gaitas, so it will all make sense ;-)
Ready and happy to start our first hike with the Grandparents and Chicha!
I made Quinoa risotto with shrimp and Lemon pesto.
Aaaamazing.
The last hike with Chochita.
David and I found a Peruvian restaurant.
Causa rellena,
The bottom is made with yams, oh it was SO good.
Lomo saltado
mouth watering....
Jalea y Ceviche con cancha
drooling.
My Amazing husband took me a Alex Goot concert. I like his music and he was in SLC so we went.
I had a great time, but, man I felt absolutely OLD. We tried really had not to sit where the parents were.... we just stood in front of them. We weren't old enough to sit through the concert while playing games on our phones!!

He almost got me that shirt!
I know I look very scary, but he was singing my favorite song!!
On to our hike, Elena climbed the big rock, but then couldn't get down.
We were so busy chatting, we didn't hear her call us.
This is not the right way to parent people!!
My Mom was a Ninja in her other life!
Elena was determined to get there this time.
Last time we saw it from the trail.
Then, they all wanted to go in.
The water was melted ice people!!!
Getting loves from her Chocha after her mean Mom left her "car rock" behind.
Or, is it "Rock car" I never know, either way, I had no idea!!
Chocha had a birthday shout Hurray!!
We ate some crabs to celebrate
One year older and wiser too.
Happy birthday... to YOU!
Yes, My mom took the girls to build a bear,
Yes, those are My Little Pony "bears",
Yes, we came home with two.
No, they didn't fit in the suitcases!
Rainbow Dash
Twilight Sparkle
When you squeeze their legs, they sing the MLP song.
I will sing it to you all one day.
Lully Babaloony and Sammy Sam Sam
They were cute, she thought he was a "baby"
He thought she was "food"

Oh, more things happened, don't worry, more posts coming ;-)
