Favorites from the Last Few Weeks

When I look through a group of pictures like these, I can't help but smile and think of how lucky I am to have such a great life.

Evening naps with Daddy obviously make her happy.

 The occasional nights she sleeps in her crib make me happy.

Service

We wanted to give back, even in some tiny way, to thank Primary Children's Hospital for the amazing care they gave Rose.  We decided to tie some fleece blankets and the kids did were happy to do it.  

Christmas Caroling

We were invited by some friends in the ward to Christmas Carol at the Legacy Retirement Residence in South Jordan.  It was a much bigger crowd than I expected and they were so grateful for the cheery singing and funny other talents shared my our darling kiddos.  But I was especially grateful for the opportunity to serve with my children during the holiday season.

Grandpa's 80th Birthday!

 The Lowman siblings planned a great surprise birthday dinner for their dad's 80th birthday!  It was a GREAT night!  So many family members came from far away to celebrate, but unfortunately Shannon couldn't be one of them.  Just after Thanksgiving the doctors found more cancer in her spine and it required immediate surgery.  It has been a much harder recovery than she anticipated and she is still in the hospital while attempting to get back up and about.  She was HEARTBROKEN to miss the celebration, but luckily we were able to video chat with her and a couple of the other grandkids that couldn't make it.

My favorite part of the evening was hearing each person share a favorite story of Grandpa.  He is a remarkable man and SO LOVED by all of us.

Jr. Jazz

Avery's first year of Jr. Jazz basketball and she gets to be on the same team as Jack and Ellie.  We are impressed with how aggressive she was on the court, she is killer on defense.  And this week they had some extra fun people cheering them on.
