Texas Trip 2010

We spent 2 weeks in wonderful Texas! We went to visit the Jennings and had so much fun! We always have fun with them! Chris and Jimbo of course went fishing for a couple days and went frogging...yes frogging! You go out after dark and whack poor little (big) frogs over the head with a paddle! Then you bring them home and fry em up and eat em! They were kind of chickeny with a fishy texture...:) Only in Texas!
We also went to Gator Country where they film TLC's Gator 911 and we got to hold a little baby gator and a yellow boa!
We did a lot of stuff but it was just fun hanging out with each other! It's good to be home and out of the heat though!

Sunday...
2am Kaplan sleeping in between us (another story) starts crying in his sleep. This is pretty normal so Chris and I just automatically pat him and reassure him. Kaplan sits up and pukes all over Chris!
Monday...
Take Parker to doctor to see why so blue?! (Sad, not the actual color) Double ear infections once again. Make appt. with ENT for tubes.
Tuesday...
Daddy gone for 3 days. You will be missed!

Chris' cousin Geoff is now staying with us until his semester at school is over {4 weeks} no big deal. Having him here has made me realize that my life to others is probably really boring!

4 Years

Chris and I have been married 4 years today! I can't believe it's only been 4 years, it feels like we have been together forever, in a good way! I can't remember life without him. We have accomplished so much in the 4 years we have been together! We have a nice car, we bought a house, Chris has a career that he loves! Most importantly we have two beautiful healthy funny boys! I couldn't be happier! I love Chris so much! He makes me so happy and I hope he knows that, I hope he knows how proud I am of him and all that he does every day! I love you Christopher!

Playtime

So today we got to play with Morgan {3} and Chase {9 months} while their mommy went to work! First thing when they got here I introduced Morgan to the boys and she was like hmmm ok where is the girl? I happily informed her that I was the girl the ONLY girl and she sadly responded ohhh. She had been here less the 5 minutes and I already disappointed the poor girl! Kaplan had fun with her though! And I think in the end she had fun too even if it was playing with swords instead of wands and cars instead of dolls!

8 Minute Molten Cake

8 Minute Molten Cake
Any cake mix {mix as directed} I used Devils Food
Then place in another greased microwave safe bowl.
Place tub of frosting {I used chocolate} in the middle.
Cook in microwave for 8 minutes!
It will look a little watery on the sides but that is just the frosting.
Flip upside down, carefully onto pan/plate and ENJOY! It's so yummy and moist! It's like a molten lave cake in minutes! Mix and match different cakes and frosting's!

Bowling Night

We went bowling today with the Big Kelley's, and the smaller Kelley's! Kaplan had so much fun. We got there early and played some arcades and Kaplan won 1000 tickets! Woot woot!Bowling was fun but like usual I didn't do any good. Bowling just isn't my talent! Then we went to Iceburg...Yummy! The onion rings were good but they weren't what everyone talked them up to be. They were each as big as a small bowl and impossible to eat!! The shakes were really good though!

Ear Infections

I took Parker to Kidscare yesterday afternoon because when he woke up from his nap his temp was 102.6! What the heck! He just got off his antibiotics from his double ear infections on Sunday so he was suppose to be all better right!? Wrong! Poor lil man has a NEW ear infection in his left ear. Hopefully this does not mean that he will be prone to ear infections and have to get tubes. Of course he is miserable which is to be expected but because he is so young there is nothing that I can give him besides tylenol and his new antibiotics and tylenol can only help so much.
Kaplan has discovered the phrase "hold on" so every time I ask him something it's HOLD ON MOM! It was cute the first time now it's just frustrating! Yay! My husband just walked in from work a hour early! Always a nice surprise! Except now I have to share the TV!
My parents are in Cancun and they are so weird. They want us {Ty Kris and I} to email them every night because they can't call us. Cmon they are on vacation and it's not like we are little kids that are staying with someone while they are gone and we get scared and need them to hold our hands anymore..sigh..and note they want to both be emailed! Individual emails! So I just decided to send the same email to both parents. I wonder if they will compare notes. LOL.

Naked no more!

So this was awhile ago but found it very funny that I thought I should share.

Kaplan was going through a "Take off my clothes" phase. Everytime he was left alone long enough to take it all off he would, and then running around the corner would be free willy so proud that he was letting it all hang out! Well eventually it got to be so bad that he would not go to sleep because he was to busy undressing all the time! So I decided to get serious...I got out the duct tape and taped that diaper on and then continued to tape his pj's on as well! Child abuse? I don't think so...!?! Needless to say it worked and Kaplan fell fast asleep...sigh.
