Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! So I'm sitting at the In-Laws house waiting and yearning for dinner! The smells are amazing and torturing all at the same time! Barron's smoked turkey is mouth watering, something I look forward to every year! Karen's cornbread stuffing ... sigh! What's unique about our Thanksgiving is Chris can't come home for dinner because we live outside of city limits, so we always go to the "Big" Kelley's for dinner so Chris can come eat with us, but the awesome and even convenient thing I might add is that 3 years ago when my dad got sick the Kelley's invited my family over for Thanksgiving and it's hooked! My family comes over every year to the Kelley's! Poor Krissy thinks it's just normal for in laws to get along with other in laws and spend Holidays together! I'm glad we do it but I'm pretty sure that not everybody's family does that. I love my family I love my friends I love my life!

New Comer

Welcome Parker Aaron! Born on November 5th weighing in at 8lbs. 2oz. and 20in. long! He is beautiful in a very handsome way of course! I'm excited to say that he seems to look a little more like me, unlike Kaplan who is the spitting image of Christopher! Parker is a very mellow baby, he cried once in the operating room then didn't cry again until the next day and even then it was just little squeaks! He is a grunter though! Every time the boy moves he moans and groans! He has to sleep in his own bed in his own room already because I just can't sleep with him making so much noise! It's very cute! Kaplan loves Parker so much and enjoys "helping"!
I think that directly towards Parker, Kaplan is great but separately he is having some issues .. he now resides in mama and daddy's bed and his attitude is a little louder to say the least. But he is still my lil Kaplan and a sweetheart! Speaking of the boys...I hear crying guess that means I'm done.

Ready or NOT

11 days to go and our little Parker Aaron Kelley will be here. Ready or not! Some days I think to myself wow I'm ready for lil man to be here and then the next day I freak out (usually to poor Christopher) that I have nothing done nothing is ready blah blah! The nice thing about having another boy is that we have so many clothes from Kaplan the problem with that is that Kapster was born in June and Parker is going to be born in November! Which might I ad is the worst time to bring a child into this world..flu..pig flu..cold..etc.! Have I mentioned I'm tired..always tired I wake up tired! I know this is normal but it's still miserable! Chris has been wonderful and I mean WONDERFUL at letting me sleep in, he doesn't go into work until 2pm so I can sleep until get this I know it's sick ... 11am! But understand that if I sleep in this late I don't need a nap during the night which is a lifesaver because Chris doesn't get home until 11pm and I have to all the fun stuff like bathing dinner sleep all by myself and that can be exaushting!
Am I ready to be a hermit? I already don't go to church because of the beautiful germs (and it's at 9am, lazy I know) I do not want to bring home. Luckily we have been able to slide by without sickness. Knock on wood. But when Parker is here it's just going to get so much worse! I don't want him going anywhere! I hate it because I'm not that kind of mom that makes people wash there hands everytime they LOOK at my baby but I guess I have to be now! So if you do come over to visit please don't be offended by the scrubs, mask, gloves and hand sanitizer you have to use to even be in the same room as us! :) Well I think I'm done rambling! I have put Kaplan asleep by the typing of the keyboard, ha poor little man. Until next time...

A Mess

Do you ever just feel a mess? My legs/arms (yes, I shave my arms) aren't shaved my face is breaking out like a little teenager, the laundry is so backed up I don't think I will ever catch up, the dishes....the dishes make me want to puke just thinking about them! the entire house needs to be vacuumed...the list goes on and on. Now don't get the wrong the idea that Chris doesn't help because he does but he's still a guy so it's really not up to par ya know? Wiping the counter to him is wiping around everything on the counter..how can I tell him to help me more or do a better job when he's been with nasty people all day long! I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is the dishes when he gets home. So what do I do? I would hire a maid but apparently that costs money! I'm not asking you to come clean my house...I'm just asking that if you come over not to judge my house! :) Gasp I feel a little better....besides that fact I feel like I'm going to lose my dinner!

New Stiches..New Dog..New Baby!

Kaplan as you all may know had to get 4 stitches in January. Well on Monday we went and got our new puppy, Remington (Remy) we had just got home when Kaplan fell and slammed his poor little head into our banister and of course needed stitches...5 stitches that is!
He almost made an "X" with his old pair! As for Remy, we love him! Kaplan has a blast chasing or being chased by him! Then on Wednesday I took a pregnancy test and Tada we're pregnant! So bring on baby #2! Oh and we went to Mickey on Ice last night and Kaplan LOVED it! Our house has been busy but I wouldn't expect it any other way. I feel like my life contains of poop and pee all day long with Kaplan and Remy but hey my "bad days" are still pretty darn great days!

It's such a great time to show your kiddos some love, not just your spouse!

4 Stiches

We have now had our first ER visit for Mr.Kaplan! We were at Grammie's house playing like usual until Kaplan tripped and slammed his head right into his wood rocking chair! We rushed him to the ER and daddy met us there ... note daddy was in uniform so everyone thought Kapster was involved in a family dispute and got hit or something poor guy they didnt know the cop was daddy. 4 stiches later Kaplan is doing fine now, we're just keeping it easy at home. Oh and the silly thing is that i have a scar in the same spot same size and all.

Vegas Baby

This last weekend Kaplan and I tagged along with my mom to Las Vegas. Our 6hr trip there ended up taking 10hrs but hey who's keeping track. The weather was amazing, it rained a little but was still so much warmer then frosty old Utah! Kaplan loved the strip of course but was a little overwhelmed sometimes! Ha. He got a crowd in the M&M store dancing to the music! The little boy knows how to break it down. I was tempted to put a little hat down and maybe earn a little money off the fella but I think the some people might frown upon child labor. Blah!

We went to Chuck E Cheese up there as well for a cousins 1st birthday. Wow, poor little Kaplan had been in the car for 10+ hours and then proceeded to Chuck E Cheese...he was so over stimulated for the first hour he just sat next to me watching everyone and everything...then once he got comfy with the surroundings he was good to go and became just as wild as the other little rascals there! Long story short we had a great time. We were only there Thursday night Friday and left Saturday! My dad had a job there so of course my mom wanted to meet up with him. He loved seeing Kapster too! I was just a bonus. What can you do, when you have such a wonderful child as mine sacrafices must be paid.

PS Kaplan said his first sentence on the way to Vegas..."No Mama no!" So proud!
