Baseball with Dad

Wes has been loving playing baseball with Kyle, we are loving this cooler fall weather and taking advantage of the perfect outside evenings. Kyle has had a easier rotation the past two weeks and we are loving seeing him more:)

Time for School

Both boys started school this month, Wes in Kindergarten and Elijah in preschool. It has been a bit of adjustment getting used to the schedule of running here and there to drop off and pick up, but the boys are both enjoying it so much. Elijah actually cried when I came to pick him up at school and said that he wanted to stay there forever.

It's a girl!

So we found out our baby is a girl and are all still in shock even a month later! It has been so much fun working on a baby girl nursery with the help of my mom of course, she is the expert sewer:) Just a sneak peak for those of you who are far away and can't see the real thing. So... the picture of the baby quilt is not shown on the website so you have to imagine it smaller, and the wall stickers fit perfectly with the bird and owl theme. Keep you posted as it comes together, so much fun! I am painting the crib and rocking chair butter yellow with antique stain on top. Not to worry I am using low odor paint and wearing a mask:)

We love dad!

Even though we sometimes have to go the hospital to have dinner with Kyle, it is worth it to be together. This spider man statue is in Primary Children's hospital, the boys love it. Thanks Kyle for being a great Dad and an even better husband!

forgive the potty shot......

this was just too funny to not share.

Elijah Turns 3!

All Star Wars all the time. This has become the theme of our days. Elijah was so excited and really got into the party thing this year. I had to admit that the Darth Vader head hanging from the tree was a bit morbid, but at least he's a bad guy:)

Boy Band

The boys love to play "band" using our collection of instruments. I finally got around to getting it on camera. I think they are so funny!

Arbor Day at Red Butte Gardens

It was a frosty cold day for April, and seeking a place to get out of the house so Kyle could sleep during his weeks of night shifts, we headed with our friends to the Arbor Day event at Red Butte Gardens. I think if the weather would have been better it would have been so much more fun, but as it was we had to scoop away snow to view the daffodils, and steer our kids away from mud pits every few feet. Elijah had no interest in planing a tree, instead he was going about pulling other peoples trees out of their pots. Three year old Ezra ended up covered with red mud from head to toe and I walked out of the place with both kids crying trailing behind me and my hands full of trees they didn't want to carry. This is how these outing often go:) It was fun to spend time with my good friend Kins, kids, mud and all!

puddles

Elijah loves water and is magnectically drawn to standing water regardless of it's purity. Rainy days are his favorite. We couldn't get Wes to come out and play with us, he is not one for getting cold.

How does our garden grow..............

.......tulips, daffodils, veggies, and little boys all in a row. A few shots of our yard springing into spring. So thrilled about the bulbs I planted last fall. Already making plans for more this year:) I simply can't get enough spring!

Eat Rocks Goat

We went to the Jensen Historic farm with Grandma and Grandpa and the boys loved it. All the baby animals were so cute! This year they even had bear cubs which we so cute,no petting those though. Everything baby is cute I guess. And of course the day wouldn't be complete without cotton candy:)
