Touch-a-Truck

My friend told me about this great event that takes place every year in the parking lot of one of the casino's to help raise money for kids with cancer. It sounded really cool so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed, it was really cool! The kids were able to climb in, on and push buttons and honk horns in all different kinds of trucks, cars, tractors, trailers, etc.

The kids thought it was so cool that they could honk
all the horns and push all the buttons they wanted!

"The Wheels on the Bus..."

They caught our little puppy!

The kids loved seeing the Leopard Shark!

April Fools

We didn't go too crazy with April Fools Day this year but we did have a lot of fun drawing silly faces on the kids while they were sleeping.

The only bad part of our little trick was the fact that Riley though it was now okay to draw "make-up" on her face.

Easter

We were so lucky to have our family come and stay with us for Easter. My mom and Gary, Megan, Navy and Jensen, and Ashely, Kennedy and Tayvlee all made the trip to Vegas for a fun Easter weekend. Ashley was in a pickle ball tournament (she took bronze) on Saturday so we took the kids to a community Easter Egg Hunt. The kids played games, got balloon animals, had their faces painted and each found some eggs!

The girls were not very fast and only got a couple eggs each.
Riley was crying about it and then peed he pants!

Luckily I was wearing a tank under my shirt and
was able to make a little dress for Riley with it.

The event also had free food (hot dos, chips and soda) and before heading home we fed the ducks with our left over bread.

After the egg hunt we played at home and dyed Easter eggs!

Easter morning was really fun with all these kids.

Each kid could find one golden egg that had money in it.

This was my favorite moment of the day...
watching my dad paint Riley's toenails,

Love this boy!

What's a family vacation without some friendly competition.

ApexFUNRun and other Fun/NOT so Fun Stuff

The boy did a great job working together to help earn some money to benefit their school. They were able to raise over $300!! On the day of the run the boys each ran hard. Braden ran over 60 laps and Carter ran just over 50; the max number required was 36.

Braden's class won a prize for getting the most pledges.

Post Run Success!

Between races I got to eat lunch with the boys!

Way to go Carter!

Riley loves to do crafty things. She is always helping herself to whatever might be just the right tool to accomplish whatever it is she wants to make. Most days she drives me crazy with all the messes she makes by coloring on the walls, herself, or getting so much stuff out you can't even see the floor. I love her independence but it may be the death of me. On this day, she drew me a picture and wanted it hung on the fridge. Instead of using a magnet though she used super glue! Ugg! Thankfully I was able to get it all off without damaging the stainless. Phew!

This was from the Bring Your Own Cup Day at 7-11. So fun!
