A touch of Inspiration

HAPPY IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!

I was at the Christophersons the other day and saw this saying displayed in the kitchen:
"HAPPY IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT-ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE"
What a simple truth to live by and it goes hand in hand with this mormon ad "Come What May and Love It".

We will always be blessed when we choose the better part, follow the commandmants and strive to live a Christ like life.
I am greatful for the the sure things in life: My family, my friends and my Faith- These are the things that bring Lasting Happiness. And By these I have been blessed abundantly!

Pismo Survivor Style

Evening on the Dunes
It was a little chilly but we made due with our Survivor style Fire- Thanks to Dad!
We Roasted Strawberry Marshmellows and they were actually pretty tastey... Who would have known burned pink marshmellos would be so appetizing???

THE RED BARN

Notice All the yummy candy just waiting to be nibbled on.....

They display the cutest Kitchen arrays Ive ever seen. My girls migrated to their favorite displays for a quick Betty Crocker Picture

This is our most favorite 'Stop off ' near Avila. It used to be a much smaller fruit barn but it has expanded to include a petting zoo, Ice cream shop, bakery, candy and all around goody stand. It is an absolute must if you love home-made treats and sticky faces.....

Fun In The Sun

We decided to run away for a few days and Pismo was our Destination of choice! We stayed at a fabulous place called the Light House Inn & Suites. It over looked Pismo beach, had all the needed necessities for the kids such as a Hot Tub, pool, Putting range, ping pong, and a life size Chess game . And last but not least -We, "The Parents", got our own room! No sharing pillows, balconies or showers.... It was great!
Our first stop was Avila Beach, where Blane found the "Awesome Swings"- He loved them because they are about 15 feet in height- which allows for a very high swing. I tryed them myself and have to admit I think they were pretty Awesome too.
The girls however paid no attention to the swings and headed staight for the surf. Despite the chilling wind, they ran around half naked for most of the day. Kip and I sunk out feet in the sand and huddled together until they were frozen enough to go back to the hotel- All in all -It was a very fun day!
