Been playing, been celebrating....

We've been able to start a few of our own family traditions since Kevin and I were married almost 12 years ago. Riding Trax up to Temple Square is one of them. This year we took the Hansen's along for the ride. Breeze was totally thrilled with the train ride. We had a blast. The lights were beautiful, the weather was just right, and it wasn't crowded at all. What a great night.

Twilight

I had a wonderful day on Thursday. One of my very best friends Chelsea came to Utah to spend the day with us. We got picked up in a fancy 'Cullen' car. No joke. A beautiful, fast, CL230 or something like that Mercedes. We spent the day eating, shopping, and the Twilight movie. What we do best!! I loved this movie. Here is my one of my FAVORITE parts.

I think the thing I love most about this movie is I felt every emotion and feeling that Belle and Edward had together. Just like the book. I LOVED this movie. Can't wait to to see it again. What is your favorite part in the movie?

I think I spent more money on memorabilia than ANY movie I ever had. I bought a team EDWARD t-shirt and a beautiful book mark charm that can also be worn as a necklace. Go check it out on Chelsea's blog. You'll want one yourself. I've worn it everyday since.

Once again thanks you Chelsea for coming out. I love and miss you so much. I'm so glad I got to see that movie with you. It brought back so many memories of us and all the movies we use to camp out at. Miss you.

I'm a Christmas Grinch until THanksgiving is over. I hate that Christmas decorations and food is up before Halloween is over. But this got me in the Christmas mood. Thanks sis

Happy Birthday baby girl

It's only a week late but this it what our life is like. Our little Breeze turned three this week. My sister was in town so we threw in a little celebration with our turkey dinner. She got plenty of dress ups, her favorite thing to do. Plus pretend make up, curling iron, blow dryer, you get the picture. Every morning she stands by my side on her stool and uses my brushes to put on her own makeup just like mom. She also loves to sit us down and do someones hair and makeup. Whoever is around. She uses the curling iron just like I do when I curl her hair. She is a stylist in the making. I love that she can hold her own with her brothers and is a total princess. Here is a few pictures of her life. I'll add some birthday ones later.

Three things I love about our girl....

1. She has so much energy and love to give to everyone. There is no one that she does not call her friend.

2. She is my little shadow. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for our relationship as mother and daughter. I will never take advantage of that.

3. She is such a good sister to her three big brothers. She is always looking out for them, almost as much as they look out for her.

We love you Breezey happy birthday.

We are a couple of characters

This family is definitely a couple of characters. Everyone choose their own costume. Spencer even picked his out from the costume box, and Addi made his up all on his own. He is kind of hooked on the Indiana Jones thing right now. Thanks dad for letting us use Grandpa Bills favorite hat. It was so much better than the cow/ cowboy hat I had. He even had me put some hair on his chest and wanted the button unbuttoned so everyone could see.

We were so lucky to spend the evening with our good friends up the street from us. We ate some yummy soup, and delicious treats before we headed out for some trick-or-treating. The boys loaded up all the kids in the trailer pulled behind the 4 wheeler. I'm hooked. The kids got to go everywhere and wasn't exhausted from walking. Thanks Alicia for putting it together. We had a blast.

Cinderella and Snow White.....aka- Alicia and Kara. We thought we would dress up this year as a princess like our daughters. The best is when little girls would ask us if we lived in Disneyland.

My little boarders

The kids have been begging Kevin to take them over to the skate park to play on Saturday mornings. As most of you know i'm gone all day with work/school so he is in charge of all the festivities. A couple of weeks ago he had a little break with all the soccer games and took them to play. I was amazed at the pictures and had to post some of my 'Major Skateboarder' Spencer and his rooky brothers.

My little boarders

I'm always a little freaked out when they go to the skate park for a few reasons. One, last summer Spencer had a major crash and smashed up his permanent front teeth. Two, I don't like to go there with the big kids skateboarding because they usually don't look out for my little ones. But of course my little ones don't look out for them either.

Halloween ride

So I went to this kick bootah cycle class yesterday (thanks Jen), and had a ROCKIN' good time because of the great Halloween music. Sure she had other pump you up stuff, but the Halloween stuff ROCKED! So I decided I needed to hear some more. So I put up some inFAMOUS songs to help you have a great Halloween. I hope they are not to SCARY. Happy Halloween.

Tagged

So in this tag i'm suppose to go to the fourth folder in my pictures and put up the fourth picture. Since I still cannot get off my old computer all of my pictures, I decided to take the fourth picture from my new download of recent pictures. (I hope that is ok Julie.)

This is a picture of Britton at his 6th birthday party. It was a costume party as you can see. He loves his new BUZZ LIGHTYEAR costume. I sacrificed alot of gas to get this costume for about $6. It was worth it!! Happy birthday Bubba.

The second part of this tag is to tell six quirky things about me. This will be difficult. (NOT!!!) I have many quirky things about me.

1. Clean my nose after I've climbed into bed. This is part of my nightly routine after i've taken my make-up off, washed my face, and brushed my teeth. Drive's Kevin UP THE WALL! ;)

2. I always have a Kleenex in my pocket. Post-nasal drip - you get the idea.

3. I have to sleep on the right side of the bed on my left side with the covers over my ears - no exceptions. This is the only way I can fall asleep. When I was little I use to sleep on the floor of my parents room when I would get scared and one time something crawled into it. Freaked me out. I've done the ear thing ever since.

4. I'm a backseat driver. Well, front passenger driver. Kevin loves to look at things to the side of the road when we drive. I constantly have to remind him to pay attention and not sight-see.

5. After I wash my hands, I tap off the excess water on the side of the sink. Then I grab a towel. Who knows why I do this, I just do.

Ok, so I asked Kevin to give me some ideas of my quirky things and he took over the computer. 1-5 is all him.

6. I always have to tell somebody what I'm doing, (or announce it) whether it's going to the bathroom, going down stairs, going to the store, EVERYTHING!! ( this was a Kev suggestion also.) It drives him nuts.

I tag, Kim, Sandee, Chelsea, Maren, and Kadie. Love ya!

Calling all friends...

Hey gals, I need a little help. I'm really struggling getting down the blow drying thing in my apprenticeship. I have no problem blow drying per say, but you know the cool thing your stylist does with the rolling and blowing with the brush and not picking up sections with your hands just the brush? Anyway I need some practice, and I need you. If your willing, I would love some real hair models to come over and i'll blow dry and style your hair. Just call me at least an hour or so before. Please!!! Who wouldn't love to have their hair blow dried and styled, for FREE!!! I know I would everyday.

CrAshEd!!!!!

Hey Everyone! I write to you from my ReNted computer, no j/k, my computer that comes to me only at night. Kevin brings his work laptop home every night so I can keep up with the cyber world. Why??? Because my dinosaur CoMpuTer finally crashed. I have to wait until after the 17th to have my new one shipped. I'm scared. I am never comfortable with new electronics. I still don't get my PALM phone i've had for 6 months now. The instructions are to complicated. I have no patience for that stuff. So we will see if I can even work our new one.

AnYwaY..... Here is what we've been up to the last couple of weeks.

Hunting season is in the air..... My husband is on the look out for everything, where ever we are at. Geese, Duck, Deer, Antelope, Elk, you name it he is always pointing them out to everyone that is around us. I even find myself spotting them when i'm out and about. It's so SAD!!! He got a Cow ElK a couple of weeks ago, he was so happy he was beaming for days. There have been a couple of 2 and 3 point buck that have been sleeping behind our house over the last couple of days. He is like a kid in a candy store, looking out for them.

He is off to the dEaR hunt next weekend. Any other widow's out there that want to hang out?

I took the kids last Friday out to one of our favorite fall places, GarDener VillAge to see the WiTchEs. I love this time of year.

Great hair day!!!

On Saturday I did a cut and color on a new client that is one of Hayley's friends. As I was blow drying her hair she kept on telling me how much she loves the color and the cut. Over and over again. When it was all finished she took one look and said to me "It looks amazing, I think I'm going to cry." Yay, that made my day. Hayley told me the next day that her husband was constantly complimenting her and telling her how much he loved her hair. That is one of the reasons I love to do hair. There are many, many more, but a day like that helps me know I have done the right thing. Leaving my family a couple days a week and all day Saturday is very difficult, but I know that I am cultivating a talent that I know I have been blessed with and it is all worth while. Thanks for taking a chance on me. You know who you are.

Hayley is one of my most loyal clients, love you sis. This hair do was my doing. She is so freaking cute.

Belated Posts

My camera broke so I haven't been able to add any pictures to my wanted posts. I did finally downloaded the pictures off the old camera. So bare with me on some past items. They are very memorable to me so I have to have them. Also I can't figure out my new camera so hopefully those posts will come sooner than later. Love ya all!

Summer fun

'We love you summer, oh yes we do....' We are sad to see you go. Here are some of the fun things we enjoyed this summer.

Days and nights in their swimsuits, sure wish I had a tan like that!

Addison Baptism

We have been waiting for this day just as much as he has. Addi was so lucky to be baptized on his 8th birthday. July 26th. It was a very memorable day for all of us. Thank you to all our family and friends who were able to come. You made it even more special. My favorite part of the day was when Addi was done being baptized and had just finished getting dressed, he ran down the hall to me and jumped into my arms and said, "Mom, I felt the holy ghost. I feel so happy." I'm so grateful he felt the spirit like I did that day. I'm so grateful to have a husband who is worthy to baptize my children and has taught them so much by his own actions. I know Addison will always be a great example to his brothers and sister. He has an amazing spirit about him. We love you Addi.

Just a few thought rattling around in my head.....

I can't believe my 2 1/2 year old daughter would already be shaking her head around saying "WHATEVER Spencer". I saw her doing it to a little girl at the gym pool. She looked at her like "I think i'll go play over here."

I think if I have to ground one more child to their room for an hour for 'NOT LISTENING' i'm going to pull my hair out.

Thanks Muriel for coming into the salon and letting me cut and style that beautiful hair of yours. It was soooo good to see you. It's been way to long.

I miss my sister Kim way to much!!! Especially just hanging out chatting. It's not the same just over the phone. I'm so excited they get to go on a CRUISE soon. I'm so jealous. Wish I could be there.

Just want to say, I hate my Mannequin head Alexis. Had to give her a perm yesterday. I know no one gets perms anymore but I still have to learn it, and practice it every Saturday.

Still waiting to go see Sisterhood of the traveling pants 2. Anyone want to come on a late night with me? I have to see it before it goes out of the theatres.

A little view of our trip

I don't have pictures yet so i'm stealing some from Kim's blog. I am still recovering from the drive home. I was booking it. It took me 9 1/2 hours to drive from Davenport, Iowa to Cheyenne. That trip on our way there took about 14 hours. Kevin and Derik met us in Cheyenne to help me drive home. So sweet of them. It saved me.

This is my favorite picture of Ella and Breeze. They had so much fun together.

The gang at the Navoo pagent. That place is so beautiful. The spirit there is amazing.

Thanks to my cute sister for feeding us well and totally entertaining us. She let me sleep in all the time and treated us like queens. Thank you Craig for taking the boys golfing and to the skate park. Also for being such a great help to us. My car was so clean when you were done with it. I love the Garner family. My kids miss their cousins so much! We can't wait for the day when we get to see you again. Thanks Kevin soooooo much! It's what we all needed. Love you.
