Disney Trip: The Drive Home

Goodbye California! It's been fun, but I won't be making plans to live there anytime soon. Ah, the drive home. Another adventure.
We set out, after about 30/45 minutes Miss Daphne threw up all over herself. It had been a winding road to get to the 15. I myself felt a bit queezy. Lucky for us it was right by a gas station. A hole in the wall gas station, but a gas station none the less. We got her cleaned up and started out again. About 15 minutes later, Ivan announced he had to pee! So, we pulled over and he watered the side of the road.

The drive was uneventful so far. We reached Vegas at 5, not great timing, but it only slowed us a bit, not stopped us. We decided to get to St. George and sleep. Made it there, got a hotel and slept. We woke up and started the drive home. It was raining. Soon, rain turned to snow. Lots of snow. Blizzard like, white out condition, snow. Not fun to drive in. Poor Curtis. Good thing he is such an amazing driver. This slowed our journey, but we kept on keeping on.
The kids kept entertained with their kindles, the t.v, fighting, and whatever kept them quiet for a few minutes.
 Trinity watching tv.
Daphne taking a nap.
Ivan got out the legos and played with them.
Curtis was a trooper to do all the driving.
Yipee!! See what that sign says.
 My favorite picture! HOME!
It was a good, fun, adventurous, crazy trip. I am so glad we did it. Can't wait to make more memories as the kids grow. I hope they remember this one. I am sure with all these posts and pictures it will help their memories.

Disney Trip: The Beach

Before beginning the drive home, we promised the kids a trip to the beach. Since we would be checking out of our hotel that day, by 11, we needed to do the beach early so showers could be taken and we didn't have to take the ocean stank home with us.
It was slightly chilly. After this wave hits Daphne decided that she was done. This was even before I got in the water, so I was spared and got to sit wrapped up with my baby girl. Thanks Daphne. Trinity loved it! She was sad we didn't get to play longer, but it was what it was. Actually I told her just be glad she got to play at all, not sad that it wasn't longer. I was done with attitudes at this point. Ivan came and went. He would play then come sit with me wrapped in his towel shivering then go back out.
Notice the only other people in the water are surfers, in full suits. Silly Idahoans.

Disney Trip: LegoLand!

Well, our last theme park of the week was LEGOLAND.
Trinity was not overly impressed with the rides. She was a bit too big for them. They were kind of youngish.
She was happy to find a cat to pet.
Curtis took Ivan and Daphne into a play area while Trinity and I looked at the map to see if any of the rides might work for her. Daphne wanted to go down the slide. Curtis left her with Ivan at the top and ran to catch her at the bottom. When he got there, she was gone! He looked then called me telling me he couldn't find her. Yikes! I left Trinity at the entrance to make sure she didn't get out. I helped him look. We ran all over. Finally she comes out walking to Trinity so thrilled with herself that she went down the slide. Oh be still my beating heart!
A lot of LEGOLAND was miniatures. They had things made in mini. This post will give you Star Wars. Holy pictures batman! I though though that certain family members would LOVE them, so I took lots of pictures. Keri, be sure to show your boys.
Tomorrow I'll post some more from LEGOLAND. So many pictures when the awesomeness that was there.

Last night Trinity Nielsen and her friends wanted to have a get together before one left for most of the summer. They wanted to sleep in th...
