Goodbye California! It's been fun, but I won't be making plans to live there anytime soon. Ah, the drive home. Another adventure.
We set out, after about 30/45 minutes Miss Daphne threw up all over herself. It had been a winding road to get to the 15. I myself felt a bit queezy. Lucky for us it was right by a gas station. A hole in the wall gas station, but a gas station none the less. We got her cleaned up and started out again. About 15 minutes later, Ivan announced he had to pee! So, we pulled over and he watered the side of the road.
The drive was uneventful so far. We reached Vegas at 5, not great timing, but it only slowed us a bit, not stopped us. We decided to get to St. George and sleep. Made it there, got a hotel and slept. We woke up and started the drive home. It was raining. Soon, rain turned to snow. Lots of snow. Blizzard like, white out condition, snow. Not fun to drive in. Poor Curtis. Good thing he is such an amazing driver. This slowed our journey, but we kept on keeping on.
The kids kept entertained with their kindles, the t.v, fighting, and whatever kept them quiet for a few minutes. Trinity watching tv.
Daphne taking a nap.
Ivan got out the legos and played with them.
Curtis was a trooper to do all the driving.
Yipee!! See what that sign says.
My favorite picture! HOME!
It was a good, fun, adventurous, crazy trip. I am so glad we did it. Can't wait to make more memories as the kids grow. I hope they remember this one. I am sure with all these posts and pictures it will help their memories.
