3 Little Kittens

Three little kittens they lost their mittens, and they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, we sadly fear that we have lost our mittens."
"What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Meeow, meeow, meeow, now we shall have no pie."

The three little kittens they found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, see here, see here
For we have found our mittens."
"Put on your mittens, you silly kittens
And you shall have some pie"
"Meeow, meeow, meeow,
Now let us have some pie."

The three little kittens put on their mittens
And soon ate up the pie,
"Oh mother dear, we greatly fear
That we have soiled our mittens."
"What! soiled you mittens, you naughty kittens!"
Then they began to cry, "Meeow, meeow, meeow"
Then they began to sigh.

The three little kittens they washed their mittens
And hung them out to dry,
"Oh mother dear, do you not hear
That we have washed our mittens."
"What! washed your mittens, you are good kittens."
But I smell a rat close by,
"Meeow, meeow, meeow" we smell a rat close by...

Pumpkin Carving

Yesterday we carved our pumpkins, well, the kids did anyhow. Trinity did hers 99% all by herself. I helped very little during it.
Daphne didn't carve, and was napping during the process. As was Curtis. But, she had to make an appearance on the blog, so here she is.
 Trinity with her pumpkin.
Ivan and his 3 eyed pumpkin.
Neither kid really enjoyed getting the guts out of the pumpkin, but they both did.
Daphne enjoyed feeding herself her dinner that night.

Cakes

My cakes this week were all over the board. I began with one to represent the this woman's year. It has a Scottish flag for her heritage, America because she has traveled a lot this year. A plane to represent that traveling, a royal guard for her trip to London. Also represented is her weight loss, 35 lbs and counting. Of course, if you know her,  you know her dog, Ariel has to be on there too.
This was a fun cake to do for a little hunter. The camo was interesting to make, but I think it turned out ok. I talked to the mom a day or so after his birthday and she said he loved it and was keeping the target in the fridge still. She also gave me the greatest compliment. She said that she had a cake made by a competitor (who's cakes are lovely and she has a ton of business) and that my cakes were better. She said that the other girls fondant was really thick on the cake and mine wasn't. She also said that the other gals cake just tasted off, not very good but mine was delicious, and they aren't cake people!! Go me.
Eyeballs anyone? Trinity and I made these for her to take as a treat to her dance class. I dipped, she decorated.
These next ones are for a cake I made: a cake I love.
Happy Halloween! I think this cake is awesome. I am very happy with the way this cake turned out.

Mr. Handsome

Today Ivan went to pick up his glasses. Curtis had decided to take the day off, and he had an appointment in Rexburg, so he took Ivan. Here is my handsome little man in his new glasses. He needs them for things up close. Reading and such. (I can't remember if that is near or far sighted.) He loves them. He picked these ones out, because they have green on them. Now, to get him to wear them and to keep them on one piece!

Water

Again, Idaho has blessed us with another beautiful day! Ivan decided the air conditioner needed washed off.
Daphne sitting and playing in a  fence post hole.
Ivan then thought filling a squirt gun was a good idea, as was squirting Daphne. She laughed and giggled when he did it, so I allowed it.
However, she did not like it when he turned the hose on her. That brought the tears. He also soaked himself that then was freezing. That ended the water games.

FUN

In true Idaho fashion, our weather went from summer to winter and now we are experiencing fall. It is awesome. We had a beautiful day today and so we took full advantage of it and played outside.
The kids have decided they need a bigger/new 2 wheeled razor skooter for Christmas. (Gma B, this is probably what I will use your money you send for, unless you are not sending $ this year) They are too small, but the kids still had a blast on these old ones anyhow.
Daphne is an outside girl. That child LOVES to be outside. She will bring me shoes and her coat and just whine and cry. She is loving this warmer weather too. Isn't she cute? I love this outfit!
Daph was playing with the toy mouse on a string. She would carry it around. Of course it would drag on the ground and the cats, mostly Patches would follow her around try to get the mouse or the string.

Blanket and Elephant

When all of the grandkids have been born my mom has had a blanket made for them with their name and stuff on it. Well, after Daphne was born mom broke her leg and life got busy and time flew by. Today we got the blanket in the mail!! Love it, thanks mom.
My dad got all of us kids an elephant when we were born. He has continued the tradition with all the grandkids. I honestly am not sure why an elephant, but I do know an elephant with its trunk up is a sign of good luck or something. Along with the blanket came Daphne's elephant! Dad, she LOVES it.
Lots of loves for "Ellie" the elephant as the kids have already named it for her.

Shirt

Last night I walked into Ivan's room to tell him good night and I found him drawing on his shirt. It was. a. brand. new. shirt. He took it out of the packaging to color on it. He made it an angry birds shirt to go with his angry birds pajama pants. I love Ivan.
On another random note. I bought some 'Shamu and friends' cheese crackers made by Stauffers. They are a goldfish knockoff. I got them because they had an orca on the front and orca crackers.
Anyhow, today Ivan asked me if I got them from walmart or sea world. I responded walmart. Curtis however responded: "Sea World, Shamu pooped them out!"

Outside Play

Every time I try to take a picture of this man, he pulls a face. So, our kids will have no pictures of me, because I am always the one behind the camera and all the pictures of Curtis are goofy faces.
This little lady loves being outside. She will bring us her shoes and coat and let us know she is ready to play.
We got some little toy mice for the cats today. Curtis attached them to a string and then a pole. The kids loved playing with the cats.
Curtis got out the 50 and when Daphne heard it and saw him on it, she whined to join him and started after him. He took her on a ride then put it away. Then he got out the 4 wheeler and as soon as she saw it she headed over to him.
This is Daphne's kissing face. I told her to give me a kiss and this is the face she made. Only a few of the kisses are open mouthed now. She will even make a little kissy, Muah sound.

The Caramel Tree

Ivan had a field trip today and I got to go with him! They walked to a near by candy shop called the Caramel Tree. I had never been there and always wanted to go, now I can say I did. The lady who owns it is actually the twin sister to the gal that runs the preschool.
Ivan dipping his already dipped in caramel marshmallow in white chocolate peanut butter.
Now he is drizzling milk chocolate on that already yummy marshmallow.
Daphne enjoyed going too. She loved the apple pie caramel apple they let her taste (it was yummy!).
Waiting for their marshmallows to harden enough to eat!
Walking home with a yummy treat. They were really good.

Last night Trinity Nielsen and her friends wanted to have a get together before one left for most of the summer. They wanted to sleep in th...
