Happy New Years everyone.
I must say, 2012 has been a good year. The best part about it of course was welcoming our new baby girl. She was a bit of a surprise in our lives, but what a wonderful surprise she is/was. I am so glad she came to complete our family.
My other baby girl, Trinity got baptized this year! Holy cow, how did 8 years go by so fast? I am so proud of her for choosing to be baptized into the church. She is growing up so fast. I love her and am so glad she is who she is.
Ivan is just so Ivan. Man I love that boy. He is a bucket of energy and a joy. He is also Mr. destructo. Put simply, I love him and am glad I only have one boy! (although truth be told, I am afraid Daphne will be just like him!) He sure is a wonder.
I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for us. I hope it is a great year.
I guess I will head to bed. Curtis woke up this morning not feeling well. He has the flu. He has spent all day in bed, so the Herzoff's who were going to come play opted to stay home and avoid the germs. The kids and I had a movie night and I put them to bed about normal time. So, I have spent the evening just updating the blog and doing nothing. Happy New Years and Good Night all.
We are all in this for the ride. Sometimes we are on 2 wheels and sometimes we are coasting on all 4. So, here's to the ride, no matter how bumpy it may be.

My girls
Trinity got all fancied up for New Years. She wore her black tank with silver stitching and her black sweater with silver stripes and then the scarf Gma B made her that is black and silver. So, I put Daphne in a black shirt and put a silver bow in her hair. Here are my cute "twin" girls.
I set Daphne on the chair so I could go and make a bottle. She fell over and the kids thought it was just the funniest thing. She didn't seem to mind either.Dave, here's a tongue shot for you! That cute little tongue is always hanging out.

Ouch
For reasons I can not explain, Ivan decided it was fun to shoot himself in the head with his nerf gun. It has a little laser light bullseye when you press the trigger a little. That is the red on his face. He did it, and then he did it more. Yet, everytime he did it, he would say ouch. I don't know - he's Ivan, that's all I can say.

4 Month Dr Visit
Took Daphne into to the dr today for her 4 month check up. It was a good visit. She is growing and doing well. She got 3 shots and yes she cried, but she was a trooper. My baby is not so little. She is 14.8 pounds, that is in the 71% and she is 26 inches long - that is in the 95%! Her head however is only in the 37% at 16 inches. All of my babies have been in the 90 percentiles for height, but she is my heaviest so far. She is still not too chubby, just my big baby girl. Let's just say that she could eat her cousins of the same age! I love her so much. These were taken today.
Check out that tongue!

Quilts
When all of my nieces and nephews have been born, I have made them a quilt. Well, I have gotten a little behind. I started a blanket for Eli - before he was born and never finished it. He is now 2! I decided it was time to get it done, before A) he got to big for it and B) to get it out of my house. So I finally finished it.
I decided the baseball theme was a good one for Dan's son. Luckily, I planned it plenty big. It will fit a toddler bed nicely and even at 2 he should have no problem using it.
I couldn't do one for Eli and not Lizzy. So I made her a rag quilt. I hope they like it. I LOVE it. I love the randomness of it and the fabrics and the color it came out to be. I was just very happy with it.
Now I need to figure the ones I still need to do. Especially one for little miss Daphne.

Cereal Take 2
I decided to give cereal another try with Daphne. She didn't scream during it, but she sure didn't seem to like it either. Guess we will keep trying it.
Christmas
We had a fabulous Christmas at our house. I love waking up in my own home surrounded by my family and seeing their joy and excitement on Christmas morning. And since this is a Christmas post, get ready for picture overload!!
The kids got bean bag chairs. I figured Daphne will be mobile soon enough, and the kids won't want her drooling all over theirs.
Ivan got a new Kawasaki motorcycle.
Trinity asked for an easy bake oven, but I felt she was too old for one, so Santa got her a more "grown up" one. It makes treats. I think she will enjoy it.The kids enjoyed helping Daphne open her presents.
Grandma B "made" this scarf for Trinity. Ok, she started it, got frustrated and had a friend finish it. She picked the yarn though because the black and silver reminded her of an Orca, and she thought it would be perfect for Trinity. How right she was.
Grandma B also got both kids nerf guns. Trinity's response, "why did she get me this? It's a boy thing." However: Trinity (and Ivan both) LOVE the guns. They have enjoyed shooting them and I am lucky we have a big glass sliding door for them to aim at. Dan recommended this particular gun because Ivan would be able to cock it himself and I wouldn't have to every 2 seconds.
Ivan asked Santa; everyone we saw, for a noisy gun. Well Santa lucked out, he found a noisy gun, in green; Ivan's favorite, that also came with a noisy light saber. Ivan is thrilled with them. Especially since he was using a battery powered candle stick as one. He broke the light bulb on it the other day when he was hitting it against the saucer. While Daphne was in it. Not too happy about that. Now he has a "real" light saber. The kids also got a perfect size for them air hockey table. They have enjoyed it. Already have had tears over loosing. *sigh* kids.
Daphne got a stuffed panda bear. Isn't this the best picture? Love her and her tongue that is almost always hanging out of her mouth.
Ivan got an Angry Birds thing. You set them up and then knock them down, just like the phone version. He has played with it alot. In fact he sat and played with it for a while before moving on to open more presents.
Trinity finally got her much desired and anticipated "Ocean Fairies" series!! She has been dying to read these, why, Oh because one of the fairies is a whale fairy and guess what whale it is. Yep, an Orca. Good job on this gift mom. Yes, mom - I take credit for the super good gifts.
Trinity using her new thing making us wonderful brownies. She got muffin, brownie, cake and cookie mixes to use in it.Later in the afternoon we went over to the Herzoff's for dinner. It was a fun time, but of course like always, I forgot to take pictures. I did get one of this sweetheart though. Isn't it precious!
Christmas Eve
The kids on Christmas eve in there new jammie pants from Grandma N and the shirts Curtis brought home for them from Joe's Crab Shack.
Opening the annual ornament from Grandma BThey were very happy with the ornaments Grandma chose for them. Trinity's is a penguin with a soccer ball and Ivan's is Santa on a 4 wheeler.
When I went to Ohio I brought home the ornaments for all the grandkids around here. I got to wrap them all up. Well dad, I had to include this picture for you. See how perfectly I wrapped them? Love how the lines are all lined up. I guess you could say I am a little OCD about my wrapping. :)
Putting out the reindeer food for Rudolph to be able to find our house.
This is my Christmas wish. Kind of happened. She slept pretty good that night.
A lady in my ward, whom I do not know very well, but I am happy to say is becoming a friend brought this to me one night. I have talked about how Missy Daphne likes to cry and she said when her and her husband saw this they just laughed and she had to get it for me.

Merry Christmas
I found a new picture of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. I LOVE this picture. I love the adoring look that Mary is giving to her brand new baby and the little smile and love you can see in Jesus' eyes as he looks at his mom, almost as if he is saying, "I know you". Mom's you know that look. I also love the look Joseph is giving them. The joy and pride spilling out of him is evident in this picture. This is how I imagine that Holy family spending time together. With love, smiles and the spirit encircling them and enveloping them all. Such a sweet and special picture to me. I think I will have to find a printed version of it.

New Friends
Daphne met some new friends while in Burley. Here is one. His name is Rocky. I think they liked each other.
This isn't a 'new' friend but Daphne sure did like uncle Jordy. He had her giggling and smiling. He did some smiling too.
Then she decided he was pretty soft and comfy and would be a good place for a little nap.
Can't wait until February when he becomes a daddy to a little boy. He will be a great dad. Daphne might get jealous having to share him though.
