We are all in this for the ride. Sometimes we are on 2 wheels and sometimes we are coasting on all 4. So, here's to the ride, no matter how bumpy it may be.

Poison Control
Ivan was in the bathroom brushing his teeth when he came out making yucky faces. Ivan likes to eat toothpaste. I thought he had gotten ahold of mine or Curt's, and it was just kind of "hot" in his mouth. I gave him some water and went in the bathroom to check. Instead of toothpaste, I found a tube of hydrocortisone cream!
I called poison control to find out what to do about Ivan. They said not to worry, it would not be absorbed by the body and would come out the same. They did tell me to watch for diarrhea.
He actually said he gets lots of calls of kids mistaking stuff like that for toothpaste.
I admit, I had a moment of panic and fear when I realized what he did and in trying to find the number for poison control. Thank goodness it was not serious.

It's Over
There is one thing that surprises me. I don't blame myself. Usually, I am the type of person that would totally be beating myself up over what I did wrong. Making up stuff even that I did wrong. However, I know I didn't do anything wrong. It is just something that happened. It is not my fault, I am not being punished. I am at peace. I know Heavenly Father still had need of this little spirit. It's all gonna be ok.
I read this in the Ensign today. It is from an article by Jane Bleak called He Carried My Sorrows, in the June 2011 Ensign. She however is quoting Elder Richard G. Scott, a talk he gave titled "Trust in the Lord" from the November 1995 Ensign, page 16-17. Here is the quote:
“Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more. He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding and compassion, which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain.”
The article also says:
He said that questions such as “Why does this have to happen to me?” or “Why do I have to suffer this now?” lead us into blind alleys. Rather, Elder Scott suggests asking questions like “What am I to learn from this experience?” “Whom am I to help?” and “How can I remember my many blessings in times of trial?”
I have resisted the temptation to ask, “Why?” Instead, I have asked for Heavenly Father’s guidance through my trials. He has blessed me with hope in the future, helped me to heal my heavy heart, heightened my awareness of the goodness around me, given me opportunities to serve, deepened my compassion for others, and magnified my love for family and friends.
Kate has been totally awesome to me during this time. She came over all yesterday and again today to make sure I was doing alright. It was nice having her here yesterday, when I needed to say something, I just did. I had her here to say it to. It was nice. It was good to have have her here today too, although I am doing good.
I have not talked to Curtis about it yet. He has yet to bring it up. I don't know how he is doing. Yesterday he came home and said he was so busy at work, he didn't really have time to think about it, then he did his form of therapy, he worked on the 50.
When I found out I was pregnant, he was sick, so it took days before we finally talked about it. I guess I will just wait and see what he does.
Ok, I know this is super long and lengthy, I just had to get it all out. I am glad I have this as an outlet to my feelings. It helps.

Goodbye
The bleeding has continued. Today I went in for an ultrasound and learned that you are no longer with us. You returned to your Heavenly Father before we could even meet you. This makes me so sad. I wanted you to come to our family and to be able to raise you. I wanted to meet you and hold you in my arms. I wanted to get fat and have a big preggo belly, all because of you.
But you were not ready to come to this world. You are still needed in Heaven. Someday I will get to meet you and raise you. Until then, know I love you and already consider you mine.
Love Mom
The ultrasound measured you about 8 weeks 5 days. So you left a little over a week after the first ultrasound. You have been dead for a little over a week. Perhaps I knew deep down as I was no longer getting the pregnancy symptoms.
I have to admit I never accepted this pregnancy 100%. I was always skeptical of it. I was having a hard time picturing us with another little one. I just never "felt" it like I did with the other 2.
Part of me is a little angry. Why? It took a year to get Trin, 2 for Ivan and then one month of not using protection but not aggressively trying and I get pregnant, only to loose you. Why? So far I think I am doing all right. I guess ask me again in January when I should have been welcoming you into our family.
Heavenly Father, take care of my baby until I can do so myself.

Happy Father's Day
My Awesome dad! (Way to go on your accomplishment of making the Dean's list both semesters!)
My Dear Sweet Curtis! The best daddy I could ask for for our children. You are Terrific dear.
My Grandpa O, whom I loved growing up close to. He just celebrated his 94th birthday on the 17th.
Grandpa B. Who could always embarrass me and tease me to death.
Tyler, who gets to not only be a dad of 4, but gets to put up with Keri. (What, you know you can be a challenge! [that's why we love you so]).
Darin, who is a great dad to his 2 and always has enough love for my 2 also.
Finally, my little brother, wow, he's a dad. A fabulous dad at that.
I love all the dads that make up my world. I hope each and every one of you have a great Father's Day.Saturday, June 18, 2011
Worried, Again
Please stop worrying me so. Today I started to spot again. Well, I guess it was yesterday. Today though it was red, and it seemed like alot.
We (daddy and I) went to the e.r. We dropped the kids off at Kate and Darin's for dinner and to be watched then headed to the hospital.
The Dr. said my cervix is still closed, a good sign. He also said it was not a lot of blood. So, I guess what seems like a lot to me isn't much to the medical professionals. That helps me feel a little better. If I am miscarrying, nothing can be done. I am not far enough along for him to hear a heartbeat. He told me to take it easy and call the Dr. on Monday. Lots of prayers on your behalf, please be ok.
You have caused me so much worry and stress and you are not even here yet. Please stop, just grow healthy and how you are supposed to. Come to our family a healthy and happy little person. No more worries. Is this an indication of how life with you will be?
Love,
Mom
Polar Bear Swim
I love these cute kids. I am not sure where Miss Trinity came from with all her sexy poses.

Ivan had to do a climb/jump/leap type thing to get out of the pool.
He gave up first. He came over to me just a shivering and freezing. I put this swim suit on him hoping maybe it would keep him a little warmer. The kids insisted on the floaties.
We were finally able to convince Ivan to go get changed after Trinity admitted defeat and got out.
Curtis emptying the pool. He should have let more water drain out first, it was still a little on the heavy side.
My tree is flowering. Aren't they gorgeous! I love them, they make me smile.

Do You Have Any More Gum,

Ok, so I am slightly stressed right now. I am just feeling overwhelmed by all I have going on. I know lots of people love being busy and filling their days up, I am not one of them. I like taking it easy, relaxing with my kids and just chilling. I don't like always having something on my plate. It won't last forever, just a few more weeks and things will settle back down (I hope and pray.) Until then, I may be a little scatterbrained. Bare with me, k.Wednesday, June 15, 2011

A Little Rain

The kids had a blast playing in the puddles and with the hail. It ended up being a really good night. We were lucky in the fact that it was not a freezing cold rain.
Ivan thought it would be fun to lap the water up out of the puddle like an animal! Oh how he thought it was hilarious after we all laughed at him and exclaimed how gross it was. He did it over and over until I finally yelled at him to stop. He finally came in the house with his little lip quivering from cold.

3rd
When I was pregnant with Trinity I was put in the YW presidency in Michigan. I served there 3 years.
When I was pregnant with Ivan I was put into Activity days here in Idaho. I served there for almost 3 years.
Now I am pregnant with number 3 and just got called as Primary 2nd councelor. Wonder how long I will stay in this.
I better not have more kids, I am afraid of what calling I would get then.
New Calling
I have been serving as activity days leader and a primary teacher for the last almost 3 years. While I am scared about this calling, I felt peace when they extended it to me. I knew the Lord was behind it.
I will miss my old callings, especially working so closely with my partner April. It has been a blast serving with her and we have become really good friends. I will miss working so closely with her but we will still hang out and talk.
I am being thrown into this calling head first. As second councelor I am over the scouting program, today I had a pack planning meeting. In addition to that I had a 3 hour plus presidency meeting. Wednesday I have a key scouter meeting to attend and then Thursday is pack meeting. Next Sunday I have to do sharing time. Nothing like baptism by fire!
It'll be good though. It will be a while before I am not scared and shaky adn feel like maybe I can actually do this, but I am sure that day will come. Until then, prayers are welcomed.

Lazy Week
Thursday we headed to Rexburg to go bowling. Kate and kids joined us. We then spent the rest of the day at her house. So fun, we even made my favorite cookies. Thanks Kate.
Today the sun came out. We played outside and did some cleaning. All in all, a good week.

Home from Utah
Then we had a picnic lunch and decided we had better head home. We were pretty tired. Ivan woke up at 12, 1, and was up on and off until 4!! Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep. Trin slept through it though, thankfully.
Dan and Jess left about 1/2 an hour or so before us. Kate and us rolled out at the same time at 2. We were going along great. Kate pulled off at Brigham City, they needed to wake up. We kept going. We met up with Dan at the rest stop in Malad. He was just leaving as we pulled in to use the facilities. He was only about 5 minutes ahead of us though. We were on the road when I get a call from Kate. "um, um, our car died." We were lucky we were near an exit, anyone going from Utah to Idaho knows how far apart the exits are. We immediatley got off and headed back the 20 minutes to find them. I called Dan and told him, the first thing he said was, "What do you need me to do." (Ok, here is where I get mushy and sappy. - I love family. I love that they are willing to do whatever whenever for each other. When we found out, we immediatley turned around, when Dan found out he wanted to know what he could do. No thoughts of, sucks to be you. Hope everything turns out ok. Nope, it was 'how can I help.' - ok, enough of that.)
Dan was also right by an exit and immediately turned around also. Long story short, we fooled around for a while trying to fix it. Finally we gave up. Calin got in with Dan and I took Kate and Naiya. Jess's dad was going to come with a trailer to put the car on and Curt and Darin were staying with the car. Well, Curtis wanted to get it a little farther/closer to home if possible so Jess's dad didn't have to come so far. He took off. We were a few minutes behind him taking off and he called after a few minutes to say he was going down the road at 85 and was doing fine. Jess's dad was put on stand by and Curtis was able to nurse it home. We finally rolled in about 7:30. It was a long day. Ivan decided about 5 to fall asleep. I decided it was better to have him sleep then cranky cause he couldn't get out.
Kate kept thanking me for helping. I just told her it was not a big deal, that is what family does. They commented it was good to be with Curtis, the mechanic at the time it happened. I told her he would have come from home to help if needed! That is just what you do for family and friends.
