And then they were dead. The two teens, assumed to be lovers, who were brought to a hospital due to gunshot wounds succumb to death. It is sad but hey, life is not all about living till one reach his or her oldest age. Sometimes life is cut short for some reasons that others think could be foolish. Yet, who are we to judge them?

Crazy, Stupid Love
“Full moon ba ngayon at tila maalon ang karagatan.” That was last week. When I look up at the sky, I saw no full moon, only nearly full. That was kind of a relief since most people I know that week seemed to be crazy and stupid about love. Some were nearly falling out, some were avoiding falling in, while some were going at it just for the heck of it. As for me, well I guess I always try to be on top (pun intended) of it.

Special Friend
Who can ever give the harshest advice to love problems other than me? No one else and I know that. But it is necessary to make the other party realize that love in itself is harsh. That is reality.

Allegory of the Sugarcane
“Master, talk to us about romance“. He asked. “I could not talk about something that I’m not, my apprentice. Haven’t you heard? I am tagged with a moniker ‘man of stone’.” I replied. “But Master, how could you survive a long relationship if you are not romantic?” He asked again. “My Apprentice, romance does not make a relationship.” I said. “Can you please elaborate on that, Master?” The apprentice requested.

A Case of Love and Priority
We always translate our actions in the context of the society or with the people around us. We think of the norms, mores, and laws. From here we derive our concept of what is wrong and what is right. Everytime we act, we put it against these standards. As a result, we failed to examine what and how we really feel, denying ourselves of what should and must be at our personal perspective. If we feel love, then love. It doesn’t matter how other people interpret it. What does matter is you have given yourself the freedom of loving someone even if it is socially unacceptable.

Unusual Pact
Love? It is hard to qualify or quantify because nowadays love is a mutual thing.
How far would you go in the name of love? Would you go as far as lending your partner to someone else for even a night just to make him happy? For the sake of love, would you like seeing your partner sucking another stranger’s dick just to satisfy his lusty need or request? This is love unrequited. Would you favor of it?

Touch
Touching is one reassuring gesture that would tell one that everything is all right.
Each one of us has our way of conveying our minds and this does not exclude our way of expressing our apology to someone dear to us. The easiest way would be the words “I am sorry.” However, sometimes “sorry” is not just enough because sometimes the sincerity of words simply could not eliminate the resentment of one to another. Hence, we seek for other means.

Emotional Love
It seems that our relationship is more bonded or fortified. It is really nothing emotional but rather psychological.
Sex and love are not the same. This has always been my thesis and I have been vocal with this in my blog and even in my conversations with people. However, this same people keep on asking me the same question every time they see or chat with me as if they are trying to test my consistency with my proposition. Hence, once again, last Saturday, a friend of mine threw the question on the matter. What is the difference in having sex with other men and with my partner?

Love is Blind
“You know what… indi ka ganun kagwapo, indi ka nga macho at indi ka din makinis… pero beyond all that minahal kita… buong buo…”
Isn’t it sweet to hear that no matter what flaws we have in our character, there is someone who would still love us? We could even resemble this to unconditional love or “love is blind”. Perhaps this is the reason why even though we don’t feel the same way to that person, we somehow feel the need to reciprocate in our own small and unique way.
