Gould Afterthought
After we left Millbrook in NY I realized I needed to show Lily Gould again if I had any hope of her picking it. So we took off in the rain for Portland, Maine. 6 hours later in rain that spawned a tornado we arrived in Portland to find out there were NO hotels. There was some big race the following day. So I looked and none in Bethel either. It was now 11pm and I had already driven 10 hours! We had to head back for Boston in the rain to find one. The following morning we got up and drove to Bethel in the rain where Mr. Shifrin met us and showed us around. We than drove back to Boston to catch our flight home. It was a crazy busy tour with rain being the theme!
Millbrook
Millbrook is Lily's first choice for school next year! It is an incredible campus! Their facilities are state of the art inside but the old buildings exterior. The students are required to work on the farm or zoo for an hour everyday. Yes they have their own zoo! With red pandas, lemurs, emu, and so much more. It is all powered by their own solar field somewhere on the 800 acres. It is an amazing school!
Vermont Academy
We had another tour in the rain. Vermont Academy was a beautiful small school with all its red brick buildings. They very much wanted Lily to apply. (They want an Aramcon bc they know they will get more if you get one.) Lily liked the school but decided it wasn't much different in its offerings than Gould so we threw this one out as well.

Museum of Natural History
Our last day in NYC we went to the Museum of Natural History before heading out of town. Thomas was in awe of the dinosaurs!!! It was an impressive display!!! We made it about half way back to Bethel that night stopping somewhere along the way to shop and sleep before continuing on. It was a great visit!!
