Utah State AGGIES!

We love our Aggies. Football, basketball, Hockey, we're there! We love to go and cheer and sing along, "Who doesn't love the spot, where the sage.... Brush... GROWS!!!!

Jayli loves her Aunties!
Mindy, Jentry and Tiff were all there with us.

We even got to see our sweet friends Gary and Jess before they left the country again. They bought Jayli and their little boy Jordan little aggie shirts! We had a hard time keeping them still for a picture though.

Temple Open House

We visited the Brigham City Temple Open House. Jake's parents and Tiff and Jentry came too. We were able to walk through this beautiful building before the dedication. Everything about the temple is elegant and peaceful. The large gold doors and grand, sparkling chandeliers are all "magnificent!" Each room and corridor is of finest craftsmanship. Jake's dad pointed out to us that the hand carved, dot dot dash, in the finish work was morse code for VICTORY! What a fun fact. We enjoyed walking around the outside temple grounds afterwords and taking pictures. Jake and I are anxious to complete a session after the temple has been dedicated. For more information about our church and this beautiful temple visit LDS.org

I snapped this shot of our group as we were leaving. I just had this happy feeling inside to be with everyone there. Jake and I both have great families. We love that we get to see them so often.

Top of Utah Half Marathon

I completed my first half marathon! I trained 10 weeks this summer for it. I have to admit, I didn't think anything past 5 miles was even a possibility for me. But once I started running 8,9,10 miles I was blow away! It's amazing what our bodies are capable of. I couldn't have accomplished anything without Jake's encouragement and help with Jayli so I could get out and run 4 days a week. And I wouldn't have even signed up if it wasn't for my neighbors that pressured me into it. I guess this was good peer pressure. :) We had so much fun looking forward to race day. We trained together and talked about it constantly. The night before the race, we picked up our race packets and had a big carb loading dinner at firehouse. These girls are so amazing. I'm so glad we all stuck with it and hit our goals! Great job ladies!

Here's me just about to cross the finish line! 1 hour 58 min and 48 seconds

Jake turns 30

30 seems pretty old, but I'll be there in 5 years so it can't be that old. Jake turned the big three oh this year. He works so hard and gives so much. I don't know how he keeps going. Jayli and I can't get enough of him. We wanted this birthday to be special so we had lots of fun things planned to celebrate.

Birthday lunch at Jake's work

ps Jayli is wearing Jake's boots from when he was little!! :)

The next night we had a big neighborhood party.

It was a end of summer/ Jake's birthday party

We got rained out after dinner so we all came in our garage for ice cream cake and a movie!!!

most of the neighborhood all squished in our garage. Karrens, Waites, Kesslers, Lowes, Griffins, Tempests, Simpers and Jentry brought the projector all the way from Highland. Thanks Jen!!

11 months

Eleven months is too old. I'm not sure if I want her to turn one. She is supposed to be a little baby forever! I would be perfectly happy if she stayed 11 months for a few more years! :) ....but she will be the cutest 1 year old ever! I love this little girl like crazy! She is my best buddy. And as usual she has learned new things and got even smarter... I didn't know that was even possible. Jayli is learning how to go down the stairs safely. She dances "like a maniac", she blows kisses, she waters the flowers, she brushes her teeth (which she has 5 of now) She can almost climb me when she wants me to pick her up. She can put the circle and square and star in the right hole then clap and say Yay Jayli! Well she doesn't enunciate the words really well but I know that's what she's saying. :) But she does say MAMA! I just love hearing it! She loves to swim. She can do the Indian sound with her hand and mouth. She loves it when I vacuum and sweep and steam the floors. She still loves her Daddy and Nelli. She hates coming inside to go to bed at night. And she hates her car seat. Maybe she'll get a new one for her birthday.....

J gets to run with me usually once a week on my short run. She's a trooper

 11 month stats

Drinks four 6 oz bottles a day
Eats 3 meals a day with us
Bed @ 8:30, up between 7:00 and 8:00 We love sleep!
She's still doing great with 2 - hour and half naps

Jayli had the yucky hand foot and mouth virus a couple weeks ago. She got a red bumpy rash all over her body. Luckily she only got a few blisters. She had a fever for about 48 hours. The worst of it lasted about 4 days. I'm so relieved it's over and I have my happy little girl back. I'm a mean mama bear when my baby is sick. Sorry Jake. Also we're currently on  day 2 of her milk allergy trial. Wish us luck!
