Today is Friday and over at Kelli's House, it is Show and Tell. I want to share my fantastic shopping bargains I found yesterday! Consignment Shop shopping is one of my favorite pastimes . As I was browsing through my favorite shop yesterday, I found some great things. Here is the lot of them together. These corning wear dishes were $4.00 for the set. I love this design. I am such a book fan, these great book for $.50 each could not be passed by! Here is my favorite...a flower vase with beautiful flowers for $7.00. Goes perfect on my dining room table. Today is Show and Tell Friday over at Kelli's House It is so much fun visiting other blogs and checking out their show and tell items. Today I am sharing some outdoor pictures from around my home. Here is the south spring is in full bloom! Here is an amaryllis in full bloom I have had these yellow snapdragons for months, They are just now blooming, but WOW, they were worth the wait. Another pot with snapdragons. Here are some dianthis ( sp ?), they too have waited a long time to bloom, but are doing great! I've been waiting to catch this guy feeding. This picture is not the best, but I'm going to keep trying! Isn't he beautiful? Spring is such a beautiful time of the year! Hope you enjoy these shots. Today is Show and Tell Friday over at Kelli's House It is so much fun to share special things around our home with others. Today I want to share something very special to me. This week marked a sad day for me - the first anniversary of the passing away of my mother. My aunt who lived right next door to my mother wanted to do something special for me. She wanted to go to town to pick something up, but she didnt' have the time. She created a beautiful bouquet of flowers and put them in a vase and presented them to me. Something very special she did was take some azalea flowers which were blooming in my mother's yard and added some dogwood flowers also. It was a homemade creation made with love and a thought that I will always cherish. Here is a picture of the bouquet. It brought great comfort and joy to me that day!

Today is Friday and at Kelli's House , it is Show and Tell Friday! The following are a few items I keep on my bedroom dresser. This vase was my mothers, I remember seeing it on her dresser when I was a young girl and loving it. Of course it was a "no touch", but I always thought it was beautiful. Here is a closer look at it. The flowers are so pretty! Another goody is this bowl, again, my mother's. I love the top to it with the roses and leaves. Here is my favorite Easter wreath! It is a bit old and worn, but I have great memories attached to it. Years ago an aunt who lives far away came to our area. It had been years since we had seen her. We enjoyed a quick visit with her and toured a state park in our area. At the gift shop we browsed and saw this Easter wreath. I was a newly married woman and could not afford things like this, but I really liked it. My aunt bought one for her and one for her daughter. The next day when she left, she gave me one of them as a gift. It was a beautiful surprise and very thoughtful deed that I have never forgotten. Today is Show and Tell Friday over at Kelli's House I would like to show a picture I found years ago that I love. It is strategically placed above the door and it reads: Each day is God's gift to you - Make it blossom and turn into a thing of beauty. Last Friday was my first week in participating in Show and Tell Friday at Kelli's House . It was so much fun seeing everyone's items to show and many came here to my blog and left sweet comments. So this week, I'm going to share my love of plants with you. These are in a corner of my porch. These are in another corner! This is what the last corner looks like on the back porch. Here is a small area I've decorated with a few plants. Here is a flower that was blooming beautifully when I was taking pictures! Last week, I found a blog Kelli's House that features a Show and Tell Friday where you can share something special to you. After consideration throughout the week I decided to share my rag doll collection. These babies sit above my kitchen cabinets: Here are a few of my favorites close up. I did not intend to collect rag dolls, but I found one that I liked and then just added a few more. They seem to give my kitchen an old fashioned look which I like.
