I'm Still Here...

It's like this: Our computer died. In a big way. Even my little computer whiz brother is somewhat baffled. He did manage to save all the contents of our hard drive, bless his little heart. But I am feeling very removed from the goings on. Hopefully we'll get it all going again soon.

But here's the summary of the last two months!

-Jonny got home. Heaven. Then weird, because he had 6 weeks off of work. No husband to all the time husband is a weird transition.
-We went to Texas and Colorado for two of his family's reunions. So fun.
-We bought a king size bed and not a day goes by that we don't say how much we love it. Sleeping apart for a year kind of messed us up! It felt so crowded when he got home.
-We found out I am pregnant, which makes me even more glad for the king size bed, since I will soon be reaching what I fondly refer to as 'orca whale status'. I am due March 31st. We are thrilled. Or I was, until I started feeling like crud all the time...
-Emma got her ears pierced. I may have cried a little afterwards because I think she is too little. So why did I let her do it? Well, I didn't think she was too little until after I had done it!

The summer has been filled with playing with cousins, swimming lessons, reading books, generally heavenly things. School starts in a week and a half and I am sad. I am going to miss my little Emma bug while she is at school all day. She and Matthew and Sophie play so well together and she is usally the one organizing the party.

Congrats on your #4! And having your husband back! And having a king size bed! Someday (okay, maybe never because I'm in denial) I'm going to blog about how C joined the Natl Guard and will be gone for 5 months. Whenever the thought completely overwhelms me I think of you and that you've survived much longer!

Yay! for the baby! And boo! for feeling like crud. Seriously, why must we feel so totally lousy when we're pregnant? And THEN give birth on top of that. It was very hard having Steve home all of the time when he was unemployed, and I was even gone from the house working part-time. I couldn't get anything done when he was home, not because I wanted to be with him but because somehow his presences messed up my "groove." Class nights were great because he was gone for a few hours at a time. I think we like each other more when we're not together 24/7 - for 6 months. I love, love, LOVE our king-size bed. I frequently tell Steve that if there's a fire in the house, he is to grab McKay and I will grab the bed.

Congrats on #4!! I'm so happy that you your hubby is home and safe. And I'm super happy that you updated. I've missed you. But apparently, you've been busy, ahem. Welcome back. I supposed this means we can look forward to more updates of all the funny, cute things your kiddos say and do.

Yeah for a new post! I feel slightly smug that I am on the inside track and know most of your news. However, Emma getting her ears pierced was news to me! What was your motivation? Did she ask for it, or did you just want to be able to buy her cute earrings?

Amanda, It was good to hear from you! We are loving Monterey! We did not get a house at La Mesa(the schools were not very good) but decided to rent on Pebble Beach. We live near the beach at Bird Rock and the kids love going to the tide pools and swimming in the ocean(with wetsuits). We are also expecting a baby in March. We will have our fourth daughter on March 2nd! Where did you end up moving? Provo?
Congrats on the new addition! Hope all is well!
