This will take your breath away.

Remember Little Rascals... and when they put kitty litter in alphalpha's sandwich and the little kid says, "This will take your breath away." Anyway... Jacob is way cuter than that, but that's what popped into my head since you HAVE to put a darn title.
Wow! Jacob is 4 1/2 months old, and I went and got his pictures taken at wal-mart, and they did a great job!! Jacob loves bears... and anything soft of course. I guess it's just because I give him bears... :) Anyway, things are going well. I have nothing to complain about. Jacob fills our lives with joy. Jon is busy with school and I'm busy with Jacob and grandpa. Life doesn't seem to want to slow down, so we'll be pluggin along for a long time I think. Thank goodness there is an end to school sooner or later (for us in June)!
Tomorrow is Halloween and Jacob has a skunk costume. I can't wait to take pictures of his first Halloween.

My Blue Eyed Boy

I wanted to get some pictures taken of Jacob that looked like I went somewhere to get them done... if that makes sense, because I didn't want to pay the price at the photo stores. So, here he is! I opened the front door for the lighting. He loves it when he can just play around in only his diaper.
He is such a blessing in our lives. It's amazing how he can make us forget all about ourselves and be happy to be alive and together.

Go Chiefs!

One of the boy's favorite things to do together is watch football. Jacob loves watching it... even if he doesn't know what's going on, he will watch as long as he's sitting with his daddy. So... we HAD to go out and buy his first nerf football. Even though it doesn't whistle when we throw it... Jacob still loves to try and chew on it.

MULES!

We went to see Grandpa Duvall's mules Saturday night! It was so much fun. Jacob loved seeing them. Something new and fun.

We also took some pictures outside. Jacob loves to be outside!

October Monthly Special

http://takeoutphoto.blogspot.com/2008/09/october-monthly-special-dots.html

4 Months!

Jacob is now officially four months old! We went to the doctor yesterday and Jacob now weighs 14 pounds and 24 inches long. He's a little below the 50th percentile in weight and length. He went to get his shots and he also got his tongue clipped. He was a little tongue tied. It took the three of us to hold him down, he didn't even cry! My little man is growing way too fast for me. We're lucky to have an amazing doctor for him though (Dr. Jackson). He loves to see Jacob!
When we got home from the doctor appointment, Jacob could not stop sticking out his newly found tongue and making bubbles in his mouth. It was so funny! The picture is his new discovery that he noticed today... his feet!!

Applesauce mmmmm yummy.

Well, last night I decided to see if Jacob would try eating some solid food. I busted out the canned applesauce. Jacob LOVED it. He kept puckering out his lips and cooing and grunting. I only gave him a little bit. I was a little wary about giving him anything, especially anything besides rice cereal. So, I read through my books and found that I should have given him rice cereal first... because fruit is so sweet. Ah... the new mom syndrome. Oh well. He loved it though. I'm going to wait a little longer and then try rice cereal. It was just so adorable to see his excitement with something new in his mouth. I was really surprised how eagerly he took the applesauce and how well he swallowed it. He's growing up so fast, but each stage has been so exciting to see. When I start giving it to him for regularly I'll get some pictures. Just a trial run for now.
