That is what we have heard from people here in New Mexico. And, it's not always our southern accent that gives it away! Last week, we were eating with John's parents at a local Mexican restaurant. We sat by another family who had a young girl around Edward's age. When they got up to leave, the mom wanted to know if we were from South Carolina.(we told her she was close enough) She said she KNEW we were from the South because the boys were wearing seersucker outfits and they were monogrammed. She was from Florida and she quickly told me that I will not find any clothes like that around here! To quote her, she said, " Everyone here dresses their kids in skull and crossbones!". Hilarious!
We are slowly getting settled. John's parents stayed last week and helped us unpack. What a huge help!!! It is very hot here, but like everyone always says, it's a dry heat. It is so nice to have little to no humidity!!!!
I will post pictures soon, but we are having issues with my camera and downloading pictures to our computer. If anyone knows how to minimize the picture file size, please help!!!
I will have another post soon!
Adios,
Emily
