(A) Starts with the Letter "L": Little Leprechaun
.We caught him! This is the mean Little Leprechaun who pushed me down the stairs while we were visiting in Ireland. I ended up falling down a few very hard stairs. The fall knocked a finger out of joint and broke my right kneecap. I'm still recovering. Read about that nasty incident (click here)
This is from BP's Snow Globe collection (click here). I'm wondering if she still has that collection. Now she has graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees and has a very good job, seventeen years later. The little June Bug leprechaun was found hiding out in a gift shop in Killarney. .
(B) "Landscape" (Tom's Choice): The beautiful (not) Landscape viewed from the rear window of the overhead railway train going from C Terminal over to B Terminal ar the Houston Bush International Airport.
(C) A Favorite: This Lucky Little Cat is named Sugar Bear. She was a stray and my BIL took her in when she was a stray who was camping in the back yard.
(D) Street/Reflections: College students waiting for (___you name it___). Taken while driving by the Vanderbilt University at Nashville, Tennessee.
(E.1) A Lagniappe. Lucius apples in bins for sale at our Kroger Grocery Store.

The Letter "O" ~~ Weekend Roundup and Reflections
HAPPY EASTER, GUYS !!!
The fifteenth issue of Weekend Roundup for this year, 2020...
(THE FIFTEENTH LETTER FOR THIS SERIES)
- the Letter "O" Prompts are:

(D) Reflections.
Again this month, April 2020, I am participating in the National Poetry Writing Month daily posting of a poem of sorts. Mine are HERE for this year. See "Labels" at the bottom to read them and other year's poems I have written.

(A) Starts with the Letter "O": "Oh" starts with "O". Here, this guy was shut in for COVID 19 isolation so he was helping his wife by doing Honey Do's. His wife had lost a sock in the dryer. The result? "Oh oh!! "
I had better luck with my Honey Do. Mrs. Jim accidentally dropped a necklace in her sink and it went 'down the drain.' I had plunged it until no more hair was coming up but the necklace didn't come.
She had a horrible mess to move out from under the sink so I could lay down a doggy towel as likely water would all go into my bucket. It wasn't down in the "P trap" so that meant pulling the plunger. Again things came apart pretty easily with no major spills.
The last step was to lift the plunger and there it was, stuck in the mechanism and fairly well surrounded by hair but the silver cross was showing through. Now to put it back together which seemed hard, it wasn't much harder because I had taken mental notes taking it apart.
How did I get so smart? I am mechanically inclined and ambidextrous. Also I watched two women doing the same job on YouTube. This one, click here has better explanations. If you need to look into the P-tube look for other YouTube presentations showing this. (I would not have had to take it off as it was caught in the Pop-up-stopper mechanism and not down in the P-tube.)
(B) "Open" (Tom's choice): I have no idea what make and model this would be. It is an "Open" vehicle. I thought perhaps there would be a clue if I took a picture. There may be a front logo but I'm not going into another persons driveway.
(C) A Favorite: There was a faint knock on our door a couple of hours ago. I went to the door, no one was there, I Looked down through the glass and saw something on the rug.
It was a small purple sack, that was the back side, that I saw. And on the front though, was a long eared bunny glued there, inside was a package of five sugar cookies frosted with pastel colored frosting decorations. Two butterflies and three sugar cookies. We are old, my elderly sister had a bag of groceries at her door (Iowa, we are Texas).
Sleuthing we found that the neighbor family down and across the street had left ours. Their daughter and KP (our youngest granddaughter) attend school and play together.
(D) Reflections: I was taking a picture of the pink full April Moon. Where I was standing there was a pretty Night Reflection in the pool. But it doesn't show up more in the phone camera shot.
If you don't like the one above, this evening walk just across from our mailboxes produced this show.
(E) Lagniappe: "O" is also for "Old".
1. We are "Old People". The new Buzz Word is "Elderly", but really in plain words we are "Old". (Sign picture I took in Scotland, 2017)
2. Cleaning out a little, I found this "Old Friend", our back scratcher. While being shut ins, we are connecting with Old Friends, 'virtually'.
This old back scratcher was Mrs. Jim's, she likely had it before we were married. It played second fiddle after she got me, I also love to scratch her back, even after 47 years she still likes it too.
Where was this lost friend? In a box with the subject note book, the movers had packed them away five years ago. I just opened the box yesterday, it was labeled (Jim's) Cast Iron Toy Cars, and was in with the cars.

My Two Questions (you can answer just one if you wish).
(1) What is your Favorite Open Item and Why? Mine is a box of Valentines Day Candy that I only get out when I am ready to share.
(2) What do you think of when we are discussing "Getting or Being Old"? I think of the good times we had driving while traveling, all over Europe and in the Caribbean. I hope I am not too Old now for the car rental folk or the countries we might visit. (Visit my Driving Pictures link)
Bonus Questions:
(1) what is your favorite "O" word? This time it will be "Over" I will be so glad when this horrible sequence of events with COVID 19 is over.
(2) What is the worst thing to look at in your neighborhood? Out in the street below us was an old work semi trailer that must have been hauling bulldozers. We call the POA about it several times. That must have worked because it stopped being there. (BTW, that nasty one-seater-cut-off vehicle I pictured above is a couple of streets over from us.
(3) Have you anything still packed away from a move, never unpacked. Tell about it if so, PLEASE. I have more boxes in my office and in the garage. Mrs. Jim is hoping that she wouldn't be stuck with them still unopened if I pass away first.

Letter "R" ~~ Weekend Roundup (watch for Rabbits)
A lady opened her refrigerator and saw this rabbit sitting on one of the shelves.
"What are you doing in there?" she asked.
The rabbit replied:
"This is a Westinghouse, isn't it?"
The lady replied "Yes it is."
"Well," the rabbit said,
"I'm westing."

(A) Starts with "R": Rabbit starts with "R". I hop(e) you liked the cartoon and joke that Warren sent me. All the way from Australia.
(B) A Favorite: For this year this was my Favorite Rabbit Picture. It was on some Easter napkins that Mrs. Jim used with our outdoor pool party that I showed last week.
(C) Red: Lots of Red Balloons at this picture taking station. It was in the lobby of our church for Easter. Some orange and purple ones too.
(D) Reflection(s): At Auckland, New Zealand, all kinds of Reflections of other buildings on the sides of these buildings above. The tallest building at the right of the picture is showing a reflection of the tower to the right and below here.
I hadn't noticed the person walking on the other side of the bridge from us. For sure her or his reflection is not that of Santa in the middle of the picture.

~~ Friday’s Hunt v.3.13-- "M" is for ...
Friday's Hunt for the week of March 31st: Starts with M; Week's Favorite; and Water
1. Starts with M: "M" is for Make Up.
Here it is "Make up your mind", is it Double or Single Space after a period?
To help matters, I learned in my Typing Class to always do two spaces after a period, also do the double space after a colon. Now-a-days most published material has only one space after periods.
For me I still double space, I think it helps the reader to separate the sentences.

- Wearing makeup, I put too much "makeup" this morning;
- Catching up by taking a "Make up" exam in school work or a rained out sports game;
- Patch up a damaged relationship, after a night on the town and dining at a nice restaurant, the couple seemed to "make up" their differences;
And I am sure there are others you might think of. For me, these are the majority of uses of "Make UP".
2. Week's Favorite: Eating, if not leftovers then it's hot dogs made me.

I am the Hot Dog maker of the house. This is just a plain dog on bun with relish, mustard, and cheese. (Link to hot dog posts)
Left over spaghetti from eating out. I had eaten the Frutti di Mare before getting the rest put into my doggy bag. Then, as usual I add a dozen plus shrimp from our freezer. Really good "Fruit of the Sea" leftover dish.
Stealing from the kids
These are balls rescued from the golf course, many came from the water, possible the water being held in the sand trap where Sam (not his real name) is raking for balls. He found several but not his own.
The children's sign on the tree says:

I do my own clothes washing. Now that Mrs. Jim is healing from her partial hip transplant (repair a broken hip after a fall) I am doing hers also. She may pick up this duty again when she has recovered enough.
Note 1: It was a good thing than Mrs. Jim did not have holes in her underwear since she had go to the hospital and emergency room. Her mother had always warned her about that. Also don't leave home wearing dirty underwear.

Mrs. Jim fell and broke her hip on Saturday afternoon late, September 13. We got her to the E.R. at St. Luke's Hospital in The Woodlands (Houston, Texas suburb). She was admitted that evening and has surgery for a partial right hip replacement on Monday.
On Thursday she was transferred to the Reliant (health care) North Houston for rehab. This Friday, the 26th, we are expecting for her to come home. She will continue rehab either on an outpatient basis or will use home health. We hope for discharge orders for us coming to a rehab facility.

Joke of the day brings smiles

A man comes home from an exhausting day at work, plops down on the couch in front of the television, and tells his wife, "Get me a drink before it starts."
The wife sighs and gets him a drink.
Fifteen minutes later, he says, "Get me another drink before it starts."
She looks cross, but fetches another beer and slams it down next to him.
He finishes that beer and a few minutes later says, "Quick, get me another drink. It's going to start any minute!"
The wife is furious. She yells at him "Is that all you're going to do tonight? Drink and sit in front of that TV? You're nothing but a lazy fat slob, and furthermore..."
The man sighs and says, "It's started."
