The Time Has Come

The nurse just called and I am #1. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. I am glad I don't have to wait all day. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers--it means more than you know. I will miss you all for however long I will be gone. I will try and update or have my hubby update. Peace out--I'll see you all on the flip side!!

You Are A Dancing Queen, Young And Sweet Only........3?!

This is what it is like at my house every day. She is a dancing fool!! She can only dance on the rug--nothing or no one can be on the rug at the same time as her. She is The Dancing Queen (and she thinks she is the Queen of the House)!!

Just Me......Shauna B.

I have this really amazing friend. Her name is Shauna B. and I have known her pretty much my whole life. I worked my first job with her, I served in callings with her, and she was always there for me. She is loving, kind, unselfish and EXTREMELY talented. When I got to my mom's house last night for dinner she had left me a gift. There was a card that said, "Jillene, Good luck with your surgery this week. You will be fine and feel so much better when it's over. Love ya--Shauna B." And this is what was attached to the card:

Anticipation, Anticipation Is Making Me Wait. It's Keeping Me Waaaaaaitin'

Last night I dreamt that my Dr. completely forgot about me and my surgery. He left me sitting in the OR for hours on end. They finally sent me home and I had to reschedule and they put me out another month. I woke up in a panic and didn't sleep well after that. The anticipation is KILLING me!! I need this to be done and over with!!

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

I have some GREAT friends. As many of you know--we are trying to function with only 1 vehicle right now. It is a struggle and well, just a pain in the butt. But thanks to my dear friend Christa's husband Ryan, I haven't had to drag my kids out of the house at 7:00 a.m. to take Matt to work. Ryan is here every morning bright and early to pick him up. I don't think he really knows how much I appreciate him. He is a tried and true friend who would do anything for you (as is his amazing wife). Speaking of doing anything....he recently helped me retrieve my files and pictures from a broken computer and is in the process of loading them on to the new one. What a guy!!

Next I have a great friend Kristen who, despite having 5 children of her own, offered/volunteered to pick up H from Kindergarten yesterday while I was having my test done. That was such a big help to me and I REALLY appreciate it!!

Finally--I am so thankful for each and everyone of you!! All of your kind comments and e-mails during this past month were overwhelming. Who knew that I would be buoyed up by some I know but mostly people that I have never met face to face. Thanks for your kind words, encouraging words and especially your prayers. It's GREAT to have friends!!

Quick Update

**WARNING - this post will be very blunt and forward**
Just really fast--the test is done and went as well as expected. Everything was great until she pulled out 3 catheters and told me one would go in the urethra, one in the vagina and the last one in the rectum--WHAT?! WHAT?! No one ever said anything about that!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! It REALLY sucked!! But no foreseen problems so the surgery is a go for March 26th.

Crazy Weekend

It was a CRAZY weekend. First--we had no Internet all weekend long. O.K.--we actually had it for 30 minutes on Saturday morning and then it was a goner. Qwest is getting an irate phone call from me today. Sorry about all of the posts that I missed but there are so many it would take me forever to catch up.

Second--I became an aunt on Friday night. My brother's wife gave birth to their 3rd girl at 10:54 p.m. She weighed 6lbs. and 12oz. and was 19" long. She was nameless until Sunday when they (finally) gave her the name Amelia Lina. She is BEAUTIFUL!!

Third--I have been super moody and ornery with my family because of the nervousness of my test I am having today. My appointment is at 9:30 and they will take me in, catheterize me and then they will pump saline into my bladder and make me cough and fun stuff like that so they can test the bladder. I am nervous to say the least. I have had a catheter on 3 other occasions--BUT I had had an epidural first. Wish me luck. I will try and catch up on your today's posts when I get home--promise I will!!

I am only getting a select amount of computer time around here now days. My hubby has recently discovered Facebook and, well, he is addicted. My son also has a blog (which he only posts pictures of video games and sports on) and he is addicted. He is also addicted to Nick.com. My girls also want their time for Nick Jr. and Playhouse Disney. WHAT?! What happened to ME being the only one addicted to the computer? Oh yeah--on top of all that--our Internet was out for 12 hours yesterday. Imagine what that was like around here. So please forgive me if I haven't commented on your posts. Hubby goes on shift tomorrow for 5 days so I will have more time to read and comment. I haven't disappeared again--I am just waiting, patiently (NOT) for my turn on the computer!!

Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little Lies

How is it that sweet, innocent, cute kids can lie right to your face? How is it that you can watch your child spill something and they deny it--even though you were standing right there?! How is it that you can watch one of your children hit the other and then when you go to punish them they try to tell you that, "it wasn't me". I REALLY HATE the lying thing--it makes me CRAZY!!

I Hope It's Just A Stage

For the past week, O has been obsessed with wearing dance clothes and leotards. She refuses to wear real clothes and throws a fit every time I try and get her dressed. It was a struggle to get her ready for church yesterday as she wanted to wear her dance clothes. I asked her why she needed to wear a leotard every day and her response was, "Mom, I am a Balnerrina. I have to wear my dance clothes." And then she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I guess she told me!!

** Just a little side note--she just barely came to me and told me that her socks were killing her. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! I almost peed my pants laughing so hard. What a kid!!**
