Putting the kids to bed...

I just walked into Jake and Cohen's room to tell them for the umpteenth time to go to sleep and I find Cohen out of his bed setting up his Cars collection. I asked
"What do you think you are doing?"
and he looked up and replied
"I'm counting how many blue ones I have."

How could I be mad at that.

I can still hear them giggling now playing some game together thinking I can't hear them.
I guess I'm just not scary enough.

Anyway, it feels like forever since I was last on here. Whats new you ask? A lot.
Jer is working more and more lately with UPS. It's the busy season with all of the shipping going on for the holidays so he's working a lot of overtime. Graves. So when we do see each other it's sort of a 'hey there' and then what feels like an hour later we part again. It's not ideal but I appreciate that he goes to work all night slaying the dragons for us so I can be home.
We just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago. We went out and spent the weekend together. It was great to have a few nights just the two of us to reconnect.

Jake is loving kindergarten. School doesn't start until noon so we all just spend half the day in our pajamas lazying it up. Eating cold cereal, watching cartoons, building legos.
It's pretty nice.

He was in his first karate tournament a few weeks ago. He practiced his routine so hard. He did Awesome and won two metals! He was so proud. We were too!

Cohen and Carlie spend the whole day with me and I love it.

We try to stay quiet throughout the day so Dad can sleep. I love that the weather has been nice and we can play at the park. We go to Ikea a lot. Gotta love their Smaland. and their cinabuns. just sayin.

We put up the tree and the lights just before Thanksgiving. too early. The boys are going crazy waiting for Christmas to finally come. They are trying to be good. They also wrote their Christmas lists before Thanksgiving and I bought all that was on the lists before Thanksgiving too. It felt good to be done so soon.
I thought I was done at least. I still need to buy gifts for relatives, stocking stuffers, new socks and underwear, a few more small gifts for Carlie to open.
I love Christmas shopping. I'm trying hard not to break the bank.

Carlie is as sweet as ever. She is talking now. Some words we can understand. She says 'apple' 'banana' 'no' 'bath' 'stinky'. She talks the most in the middle of the night. Crazy right. It's adorable. Most kids would cry when they wake up during the night in a dark and quiet house. But not Carlie. She is a little chaterbox around 3 am. she sings sometimes too. She is walking and we have discovered that she loves to climb.

Me? I'm good. I'm loving being home. I still work a few hours a week at sweet tomatoes but I'd rather be home.
I'm excited to be expecting again. We will be welcoming another baby in May 2012. I am trying to enjoy being pregnant but I am so tired all the time and hungry all the time and sick. I get morning sickness in the evenings mostly.

Despite being sick, I'm happy. I'm so so happy.
Maybe it's because it's Christmas time or maybe it's all the extra time being home just resting and playing. I have so much to be happy and excited about.

So anyway that's what's going on. All is well. We're still alive.

Beautiful Girl!

I just took this picture tonight and I love it! Just had to share it. I love Carlie so much! It is so crazy that she is already one! She is such a wonderful little girl. I just love watching her learn new things and see what she'll do when she is walking around the house. She loves to explore now that she can. She loves to play with her brothers toys. They are usually off limits but we are trying to teach Jake and Cohen to share with her. It's hard though because she is very strong and sometimes breaks the toys they share. It has only happened a few times but Jake and Cohen know that she can't be trusted with their favorite toys.

She loves to Climb. She loves to play with her pretend dogs. She loves to ride on her new horse. It is fun because it makes horse noises and plays music. Here she is kissing it. Doesn't that melt your heart.

Happy Birthday Cohen and Carlie!!!!

Carlie turned one on the 9th of August and Cohen turned 4 on the 15th! We had a double birthday party for them in the backyard. I can't believe how fast this past year flew by!

Carlie is walking now and she still has just one little tooth. It is so cute! And Cohen is 4 already and is such a sweetheart. He loves to cuddle and have me hold him. I thought he'd grow out of it but he really loves for me to hold him in my arms and sing to him before he goes to bed. Jake and Carlie don't like to cuddle but Cohen always has. He loved having his big birthday party.

We decorated the kitchen for them (something my mom always did for me and my brothers and sisters growing up). We had a girl I know bring over her puppies and we let the kids play with them. Then they dug for candy and prizes and money in a big kiddie pool filled with sawdust. They loved it! Then we opened presents and ate cake and ice cream. Everyone had a blast.

This gift was from my mom and she pulled a cute trick on Cohen where she put a present inside of another present inside of another present. It was so fun to watch his face while opening all of those boxes. But in the last box there was a pillow pet inside. So it was Worth it!
Just what he wanted! It was so Fun!

I just had to get this adorable party dress for Carlie. She looked like a little cupcake!

It was such an awesome day!

Swimming Lessons

You have to know the story behind this picture below. Cohen had just pushed Jake off of the diving board and then laughed. He said to Jake "Just Go!" and then gave him a shove. You need to click on the picture and enlarge it so that you can see their faces better :)

Jake and Cohen started Swimming Lessons this month. It has been so fun watching them with their teachers and seeing them learn so many new things in the pool. They learned to kick in the water with straight legs. They learned to blow bubbles out of their noses and to hold their breath underwater. They learned to float on their backs and even jumped off the diving board! I am so proud that they listened to the instructions and would try their best even if they were sacred. It has been so fun to watch them learn to swim!

I am Missing

This song wouldn't load onto my Playlist! The missing song that I really wanted for the Maze Runner playlist:

'I am Missing' by Dashboard Confessional

Sharp disaster in a fresh new coma
Was it worth it when it was over
Proving yourself right
You'd make the biggest noise
Well I lock my hands behind my head
I'd cover my heart and hit the deck
I'd brace myself for the impact if I were you

(It's a long way) is there anything
(For an answer) worth looking for
(Is there any news) worth loving for
(Is there any word) worth lying for
(Is there trauma) is there anything
(Or a struggle) worth waiting for
(Am I missing) worth living for
(Was the body found) worth dying for

(It's a long way) is there anything
(For an answer) worth looking for
(Is there any news) worth loving for
(Is there any word) worth lying for
(Is there trauma) is there anything
(Or a struggle) worth waiting for
(Am I missing) worth living for
(Was the body found) worth dying for

Sharp disaster in a fresh new coma
Was it worth it when it was over
Proving yourself right
You'd make the biggest noise
Well I'd lock my hands behind my head
I'd cover my heart and hit the deck
I'd brace myself for the impact if I were you

(For an answer) worth looking for
(Is there any news) worth loving for
(Is there any word) worth lying for
(Is there trauma) is there anything
(Or a struggle) worth waiting for
(Am I missing) worth living for
(Was the body found) worth dying for

Cancun 2011

Finally I am posting the Pictures from our trip Jer and I just took with our friends Clay and Tiffany. We arrived at the airport at 5:00 am and walked right on to our plane and left Salt Lake at 5:30 am. We changed planes in Dallas and had breakfast at the airport there and then flew to Cancun. We arrived just after 2pm and the taxi took us to our Hotel. Here we are in the Taxi.

This Picture was taken just after we arrived at the Princess Sunset all-inclusive Resort.
This is the 24 hr Buffet.

We got couples massages twice during our stay. It was really awesome.

Me and Tiffany down on the beach.

These were all taken as we headed to dinner.

We ate at a different restaurant every night.

Here we are at the Miso Teppanyaki.
This was my favorite meal because I got to be the cook!

After dinner each night there was live music and dancing.
We looked like idiots but we had a blast.

The Guys went Deep Sea Fishing on the third day while Tiffany and I read our books and relaxed on the beach.

The catch of the day! They had a much bigger fish also on that same line but it fought so hard that It got away. The guys had a great time anyway.

Tiff and I at lunch while we waited for the guys to come back.

Here we are on the morning of the fourth day heading out on the bus to Xel Ha. It is an ecological park and is the largest natural aquarium in the world. They also have cliff diving, bikes to ride, a zip line, and freshwater cenotes.

We couldn't get enough of the night life and so on our final night we took the 11pm shuttle into Playa del Carmen and went to the Coco Bongo night club. It was Fantastic. We didn't drink of course but we danced until 3 in the morning. Would we do it again? In a Heartbeat!

Senor Frogs Playa Del Carmen. Isn't that the most breathtaking view behind us? The water was so clear and the sand was so soft.

The guys took some steamy beach pictures of us.

We all played a lot of beach volleyball during the week.

Everyday was Amazing! We loved every minute of our Vacation together. It was so Great!
