IV anyone?

So, I forgot to mention a funny thing that happened at the doctor the other day. Since we had our US, I was supposed to drink 32 oz. before I went in so my bladder would be full. Well, if you know me, I drank more than needed. Surprised? I didn't think so. Anyway, the water was taking its sweet time to get to my bladder. The US tech asked if I drank before I came. I said, "Yes." She said, "Maybe you are dehydrated!" I told her that I went running outside before I came so maybe my body needed more water than I gave it. She told me that I needed to make sure I drank plenty of/more fluids throughout my pregnancy. Does anyone have an IV handy?

Me, drink more? Is that possible? Good thing Jason was there to vouch for me about my drinking habits.

It all started in high school. I always had a water bottle with me and still will not leave home without one. It's my MO! Which one do you think would be better for my new H20 on the Go?

Confirmation!

It's confirmed. It's a boy! There is no doubt about it. Jason and I went to the OB today and there were definitely some boy parts in there. We got some cool ultrasound pictures.
Can you see that it is a boy?

Here is my favorite one! Note...it's a little disturbing, one only a mother could love. Ahoy matees!

Dbacks game!

Last night we went to the Dbacks game against the Cubs. The Dbacks won! Yippee!! We went with my two brothers and my nephew, Ryan. Ryan brought his glove in hopes of catching a ball. No luck but he was sure cute. It was pretty hot but I came prepared with my Samoan fan. Jason and my brother made fun of me but when I fanned them, they loved it!

and the winner is

a Honda CRV!!! Jason and I just bought a new car. After spending several days riding around on my previous wheels (my bike), I told Jason we were not leaving on Saturday without a set of keys in my hand. We actually had a great time. We went to a couple of different places but had done our research and knew we would probably end up with a Honda CRV. Well 3:00 pm rolled around and we hadn't eaten lunch. We were both starving! Jason told our salesperson that we were going to go get lunch then come back. Well, you know how these salespeople can be. First, as soon as you step out of your car they are hounding you like if you were a piece of meat. Next, they try to make a deal with you before showing you how much everything would cost. Luckily I had my "FINANCE" major husband with me to tell them how he really felt! No, he wasn't mean but he wanted to see an itemized printout sheet that they weren't giving him. I had to pull the "I'm pregnant and need to eat lunch now" card. Finally, when we said we were going to eat lunch, they told us that they would get us lunch and get us a printout! Then they started moving! Hello! Why didn't that happen sooner? We are still wondering about that.

Not only did they get us lunch, they spoiled us. They let us order P.F. Chang's. Jason and I split a dinner. He looked at what we were ordering and said, "Is that it?" I said, "Okay, throw in the Great Wall of Chocolate (a fabulous dessert if you've never had it)."

The best part of the night was when we were meeting with the paperwork guy. He asked how we were paying for our downpayment. Jason replied, "Cash!" So, he looked down to check the box and when he looked up we pulled out the stack of bills (from the sale of our other car). We all started laughing because I'm sure he wasn't expecting that. We had a good time with that one!

But all that time we spent looking for the perfect car was time well spent. I just love the car! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

What happens when......

you take a Love Meter test and one of you is "Uncontrollable?"

You have a baby boy!

Jason and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby in early December. We feel so blessed already to have this little one in our lives. I am 19 weeks along and feel great! I have been feeling terrific during this entire pregnancy so far. According to my vet (my brother Whit), we are having a boy! We found out last night and are super excited! We will confirm with my "human dr." next week so we will keep you posted. Here I am on the vet table. Jason has always said that I am an animal!

new car?

We finally sold my car tonight! Boy am I super excited to get a new car. Check out my new wheels for the time being. I even made Jason get a new one too because gas is so expensive these days. We might have to leave a little earlier to get to our destination!

Jason told me last night that someone was coming to look at the car today. So, I had to do some last minute things with the car. I stopped off at Walmart and bought a bike lock and basket. I think I should just go back to Newport so I'll fit in better instead of sweating my eyeballs out trying to go places tomorrow in this heat! So if you want to do something tomorrow give me call, but beware...you'll have to drive (unless you like sitting on handlebars)!

Newport 2008

I know I have been away from the blogging world for awhile now but for good reasons. I have been on several road trips (as mentioned before). I just returned home from the last one...Newport Beach/Utah. It was so fun. We had a great time going to Disneyland, playing football on the beach, staying up late and talking, and just hanging out with everyone. We have 35 people in our family (kids included) and everyone was there except for one very missed brother-in-law, who just had to study for his dental school boards. We had dinner every night together and were able to watch the fireworks on the 4th from the beach. This beat watching them in blazing hot weather in a pile of dirt! Grandma Kathy had crafts galore up her sleeve and surprised everyone with a special picture on their tshirt this year. Thanks Kathy and Hugh for a great trip! We had a blast! We can't wait until next year.

Papa Hugh digging for treasure with grandkids.

We are laughing at the 2007 babies.

Jason and I on the beach.

This has got to be my favorite picture from Disneyland. Ella is a total princess. She loves the movie Enchanted. She always pretends to "eat a poisonous apple" and dies. She tells whomever is next to her, "I'm waiting for true love's kiss!" She bought these glass slippers so I had Danny put them on her for a picture.

But the best part of the entire sequence of events is this next picture... as soon as Danny put on the shoe, Ella went to go hug him of her own accord. I think this girl has seen too many love stories. What do you think?

All the siblings with parents!

While I was in Utah, I got to spend some quality time with my sister and her little boy, Hugh. He is such a cutie (besides being a REALLY good baby)! I think I'm going through withdrawals seeing him every day.
