3 months old

4 months old-
Ht: 25 in (50%)
Wt: 12 lbs. 7 oz (10%)
Head 42.5 cm

  • Rolls over from back to stomach

  • Starting to laugh a little

  • Loves to smile

  • Extremely active and rarely stops moving around

  • Starting to get clingy and cries when someone unfamiliar holds him

  • Was diagnosed with Laryngo tracheal malacia - AKA "freight train breathing"

  • Lincoln's breathing is very loud and raspy and his throat is smaller than normal and the upper airway which leads from the throat back to his lungs did not develop normally and basically he has a "floppy airway" which tends to collapse during coughing feeding and crying. Instead of a nice stiff tracheal cartillage he has a soft floppy cartillage and weak muscles supporting it. He should outgrow this by a year.

    Labor Day Camping

We were able to go camping over Labor Day weekend up above Stanley, ID. It was an awesome weekend! Makell was sick so she was a little cranky but still had a good time and Lincoln did awesome! He was definately in his element up there.

We were there 20 minutes and she managed to get as dirty as possible

    Josephus Lake

    The water was freezing!!

    Redfish Lake

    Sawtooth Mountains

    Sheep Mountain

    Moved again!

We are now living in Rupert, ID. Jared is working for Rocky Mountain Ag as a fertilizer/crop consultant. He was working for this company when we lived in Utah, but was commuting and so we finally moved to ID so we could see him every night and it has been great! When we moved, our computer with all my pictures wouldn't turn on and we haven't gotten it fixed so that's my excuse for not blogging lately. So I will be doing a lot of catch up posts.

    Circus

The circus came to Tremonton so we thought it would be fun to go to. It was fun, but, there was music playing the whole performance and a guy talking in the microphone and Makell is very sensitive to loud noises and she plugged her ears the entire 2 hours!! They didn't have any elephants or tigers performing and that's what Makell was wanting to see the most. She at least got to see an elephant outside.

Before the circus, Makell kept asking if she could ride the elephants and I kept telling her no they don't allow it. Well we get there and you CAN ride the elephants so I excitedly told Makell she could ride them and she screamed NOOOO I don't want to

So instead we paid so she could ride a horse :) She loved it though!

    Little Linc has arrived

Lincoln Scott Cook was born Thursday 5-5-11 at 3:24 PM. He is 8 lbs 5 oz 20 in. The delivery went great and he is a strong, healthy, beautiful little boy. Makell loves having a little brother and wants to hold him all the time. We just need to get her trained to call Lincoln a "him" not "her" and she still won't call him by his name just by "my baby brother" but she is a great little helper.
