Jack turned 3!!! It's hard to believe that he's been around for 3 years... but it's also hard to believe that it's ONLY been 3 years! I can't imagine life without him! He makes me laugh everyday... he has such a joy for life and the world around us. He makes me see things in a different way, learning how to find joy in the simple things of life.
Some of the things he enjoys doing right now are: playing with Kate, he LOVES her... so much, one of my favorite things is watching them laugh at each other; he still enjoys playing in the dirt, sand, and water. I would say he's obsessed with water. It's not too hard to get him to wash his hands after he uses the bathroom, the hard part is getting him to turn OFF the water. He is REALLY into swords and fighting, "want to fight me mom??" is what I hear everyday. This past summer he got a Star Wars light saber. He's really liked playing with that, but a few months back he saw one at Target that was blue, would light up and make noise. He's been talking about it ever since. When we asked him what he wanted for his birthday, the only thing he said was a blue light sword. SO, we decided we had to grant his one wish. It's HUGE, but he loves it! Jack is also my little artist. He loves to draw, color, paint, cut, paste etc. He's at the table almost everyday doing some type of art project. Jack also likes to sing - made up songs mostly. He still is a CHALLENGE to feed but he has his favorites, yogurt, oatmeal, black beans, cheese, banana's, popcorn, and mashed potatoes and gravy (otherwise known as "tabos").
Oh we love that Jack! We're so grateful we have him even with all the challenges that come with such a spirited child.

During the day on his birthday, we went to Miche Grove Park in Lodi and met my sister Jackie there. Jackie's birthday is the same day as Jacks so we had cupcakes, sang happy birthday, played at the park, and then took the kids to the zoo! They had a great day. Jack even went down this big slide all by himself! This is a huge thing for JAck. We've always had to encourage him to go down slides and he will only go down little ones. He climbed up, and went down without me saying anything! WAy to go Jack!
We wanted to do something as a family so we went miniature golfing. Jack had a lot of fun, he liked all the water around, we had to keep calling him back over to hit his balls. Like I've said, he's obsessed...

We had pizza (one of Jack's other favorites) for lunch. I bought dough and we made 4 different kinds, pepperoni, canadian bacon and pineapple, Bbq chicken, and garlic ranch chicken. They turned out pretty good.
Jack requested a "light sword" cake. I originally wanted to a fire-engine themed birthday, but I decided to ask him what he wanted. After naming off a few things, this is what he chose (which is what I knew he would choose).The grand-finale present which was from both sets of Grandparents and Jared and myself was not such a hit (a bike). I think he was a little overwhelmed and I'm sure he'll enjoy it soon.
So the potty training is still ongoing. We have to watch him like a hawk and he STILL has moments where he can find time to poop his pants. He STILL hasn't made it to the toilet with that. He's doing great telling us when he has to pee but the other is just TOO frustrating. The first few days we walked around with no pants. I think he kept forgetting he didn't have a diaper on. He went about doing everything as usual, no pants did not phase him a bit. He went about his normal business...

We finally have been able to put the unders on and keep them on, even during naps, EVEN for bed time! Now if we can just get the other down!!! THANK YOU to all the mothers who responded to my pleas! I appreciate all the insight! I still have some things to try so THANK YOU!
