Yep, it is starting to look like a jungle out there. I like to over plant my square foot garden as I usually have some empty squares. This year I think we are at capacity. We like to just sit on the back patio and watch the plants grow. Well that was when we could stand the heat and didn't get attacked by mosquitoes or flies.

Baby watermelon (of course this was taken a few days ago and it is probably a toddler now)
Okra anyone? I don't know what to do with one okra but I figured I might as well grow okra while I am in the south. Now what to do with it?

Here are my drawers I turned into boxes. The seasonal planting turned out great. And you can see the strawberries are doing well around it too. Ripe tomatoes in June I am excited! Hooray for planting in February.
Eggplant? It was that big a few days ago, But now it's even bigger! -avery

Oooo, I LOVE okra!! Cut it up and saute it in butter. Yum!
your garden is beautiful! I was quite proud of mine until I saw yours. Wow, we still have something to work towards :)
No you just need to live in this jungle called North Carolina! Watering once or twice a week with miracle grow has been our biggest help.
I AM excited about yours. I have a hard time following the rules. I always over plant (as I plan for a few plants to... not thrive) but this year it is scary how everything wants to grow and now it is overgrown and crowded.
