Paxton - 9 months

 Dear Paxton,

My sweet, smiley, little boy.  Your personality is really exploding! You have started to be more demanding.  If you want something, and Mama says no or isn't paying attention, you make your opinion known.  You have really found your voice!

You love to "talk" with everyone.  You do say "hi," "Dada," "Mama," and "baba."

You are cruising along the furniture like crazy! You also like to walk along the gate.

When you are crawling on the carpet and come onto the tile, you immediately become a spider monkey.  You want as little of you body as possible to touch the cold tile, so you crawl without letting your knees touch the ground.  It is quite cute.

Although you have been able to sit by yourself for months, you can now put yourself in a sitting position.

You love to watch Mama's cat Otis.  Whenever you see him, you try to pet him(grab a handful of his fur.)  He usually walks away, but occasionally he will let you pet him with Mama's help.

You experienced your first Halloween.  You were dressed up as a cute little monkey. You were not impressed, especially since Mama wouldn't let you have any candy.

The day after halloween, Mama came down with Mastitis.  It was awful. Mama went to the Dr. and got antibiotics right away, but it was miserable!  Then, Daddy took his annual SEMA trip. It was a long week with Mama feeling crummy and no help.  So Daddy tried to come home early and was in a bad car accident.  No one was seriously injured, but Daddy had to get a new car.  November was a rough month.  Hopefully December will be much better!

Love,

Mama

Paxton - 8 months

Dear Paxton,

This month you have taken off.  Your crawl has gone from an army crawl to a real crawl.  Although you do like to drag your belly on the ground.

You now can pull to standing, and you love to do it everywhere! On the sofa, chair legs, Mama legs, etc.

You still love to eat. Fruits, veggies, any food Mama is eating, you love it all.  You seem to be sensitive to dairy, so Mama is trying to avoid feeding you foods with dairy.  Or your diaper shows it!

Your favorite new food is Cheerios! You could eat them all day long.

You now have 4 teeth coming in! The front two on the bottom were first, quickly followed by the top middle two.  You like to use these teeth to bite Mama.  On the shoulder especially.  You bite and give me the cutest smile.  Although is is adorable, it hurts!  Luckily you don't bite while nursing.  You tried it twice.  Mama screamed involuntarily and made you cry.  After that you stopped!

Your poor little mouth hurts in this picture.

This picture was taken after you stole some cheerios from Enzo.  You are so proud of yourself!

Pictures are very hard to take now that you are so mobile.

Until next month.

Love,

Mama

Paxton - 7 months

Dear Paxton,

My little mover! You are everywhere now.  You love to chase after your brother and Daddy.  You wrestle and giggle with them, it is so much fun!

You have started to make a manly little growl at Daddy and Enzo to get their attention.  They then growl back and forth with you while you smile the whole time!

You love to play trains with Enzo, destroying everything he has built.  It can be quite frustrating for Enzo, but you seem to enjoy it immensely! Same goes with blocks.

You still aren't sleeping well. You started sleeping 5 hour stretches occasionally with one 6 hour thrown in.  It was wonderful! But then you started teething and are back to waking every hour and a half to three hours.  Poor Mommy. At least you love to nurse, so you easily go back to sleep, snuggled up beside me.

Mama is working 3 days a week now and hating every minute of it.  I miss you so much while I am at work.  I have to pump on every break and rush straight home to you. It makes Mama sad.

You are officially too big for your baby bathtub.  You try to climb out of it, so big boy baths it is.  I lay you on your tummy in about an inch of water and bathe you as fast as I can before you try to get up. Otherwise I have to get in the tub with you.

You are now wearing 6-9 months clothes, and still in size 3 diapers.

You can tell your mouth hurts in this picture. Your two bottom teeth have started to poke through.

My little cheeser!
Love,

Mama

Paxton - 6 months

Dear Paxton,
Six months old! Hard to believe you have been in our lives half a year already. What a joy you are. You are my smiley little baby! You love to be held, and don't mind who does the holding as long as Mama is not far.  I call you my little Joey as you would be content to sit on my hip all day long!

You have the most beautiful blue eyes and golden blond hair.  Enzo was a cute baby with striking eyes.  I didn't think I could have another baby as cute as he was, but you are! You look quite a bit alike!

You are sitting on your own now, which is quite exciting! You do a modified army crawl to make your way around, along with rolling everywhere.

You chew on everything in sight, but don't have any teeth yet that I can see. I'm sure they will be popping through soon.

Paxton, you love playing with your brother Enzo.  Whatever he is playing with, you want to play with too.

At your checkup you were: 16lbs 2.9 oz(22.35%)
                                            2' 2.75" tall(48.4%)
                                            18.15" head(100%)

So you are still slim, about average height(I think the nurse measured wrong,) with a huge head! You are wearing 6-9 month sleepers, and 3-6 month everything else. Size 3 diapers.

You did much better with shots this time.  Much less fussiness!

I almost forgot about food! We tried solid food again, and you gobbled it down.  You love every food you have been given.  You try to steal whatever I am eating! You are taking a bottle for the most part now.  About 2 ounces at a time while I am at work.  Sometimes you still refuse, but since you will eat solid food, it isn't as much of an issue. Mama works 2 days a week now and misses you every minute I am gone!

I love you little boy!

Love,

Mama

Paxton - 5 months

Dear Paxton,

My little man, you are 5 months old.  This last month has brought a major change for you.  Mama went back to work, and you are not enjoying it.  You hate to take a bottle. You will eventually take an ounce or two if Mama has been gone for a very long time, but you are not happy with it. Only one day a week for now, but you are hating every minute of it.  Mama hates it too! Luckily I only have to work a six hour shift, but it still feels like such a long time to be away from my little boobie monster.

You are now a little rolling machine. If you see something you want to play with, you can roll across the room to get it.

We tried to introduce solid food to you, but your tongue thrust reflex has stopped you from eating too much.  You are extremely interested in food and will grab at food when you see it, but swallowing it doesn't happen too often.

Speaking of grabbing, you are getting really good with those hands and are fascinated with what they can do.

You enjoy being put in the bouncer.  Although you don't bounce in it yet, you love to play with the toys hanging from it.  You also like that you can stand up in it.

Your brother loves the bouncer too.  We have to pull Enzo out of the bouncer whenever we want to put you in it.

Your sleeping habits have not really improved.  You like to eat all night long and snuggle with Mama. You sleep well as long as you are snuggled up next to me. I enjoy it, but Daddy not so much.

Until next month,

Love, Mama
