So my little baby is over one year old now! Her Birthday was on Tuesday and I am still coming to terms with the fact that she is so old!
We went to the doctor on Today and here are her stats:
Height: 29.25" 50%
Weight: 18lbs 14oz Just over 10%
Head Circumference: "Off the charts"
They aren't too concerned about the low weight since she has gradually dropped down in her percentile since birth- and since the big head skinny body is a pretty consistent pattern for our kids.
Overall she's doing great
More birthday posts to come

Cat Lady
Recently I spent the day hanging out with my BFF, April.
First let's point out that Aria dressed herself:
Blue plaid shorts, pink striped shirt, tennis shoes, with black and neon green socks
We had fun and so did the kids, but was I loved the best was watching Aria with their cat named 'meow-meow'
I really love the protective hugging pose in this one
We wanted to get a picture of all the kids lined up and we had to promise Aria that she could have the cat back after we took pictures
True to our word:
Carrying meow-meow around everywhere:
She is such a good cat, I can't believe she kept letting Aria hug her and carry her.
When we got home her clothes were COVERED in fur!
And now she loves to see pictures of cats or read about cats in books. She'll always point to the cat and say "Meow (or sometimes cac for cat) Aria, hold" She misses holding the cat so much!
And just for fun, here's a crappy Video of my cute girls dancing, while we were at April's house... unfortunately I didn't have the video camera, so it's silent and with bad coloring, but they're cute nonetheless

Phoenix Zoo
We usually go to Wildlife Zoo since it's out near our house, but I had some free tickets to the Phoenix Zoo So we hung out there one day
Even though it is far away, the Phoenix Zoo is cool because it has tons of kids stuff:
Climbing on the spider web
Cactus Slide
Aria about to fall off the cactus slide
Can you see her at the bottom? She fell
Tractors:
And a playground, which was great for the big kids while I nursed Terra
Of course Parker loved looking at the map and saved it so he can look at it at home
We even had a picnic there
The kids decided to walk around on this planter while they ate
While Terra snacked in the stroller
We did actually see some animals, even though it may not seem that way
And actually the kids kept playing and playing with stuff and I said something like "Well let's go see some more animals, that's what we're here for, right?"
And Parker said "No, mom we're here to have fun"
So I let them play and only see a handful of animals.

Hands-On Fun
We do lots of crafts here in our house. The kids love coloring and painting, cutting and gluing, play-doh, stamping, etc.
In addition to traditional crafts, we also love to do sensorial or hands on activities, too!
Hair Gel and food dye
In a bag, and....
in a tray for more (messy) fun
Glitter Glue on poster board
Making Daddy's birthday gifts: felt, colored glue, pony beads and sharpies
The next one Parker came up with as an 'experiment'
Hot, room temp, and cold water... seeing which will melt ice the fastest
(And then drinking the water)
Baking soda and vinegar with food dye:
I love when their opposite personalities show in everyday life....
Aria's tray looked like this...
And a minute Later, Parker's sill looked like this...
He's all about doing it 'right' (what he decided was right) and in a pattern, she is just going crazy (as always)
And then a favorite, time and again:
Cornstarch and water
This was Terra's first time with cornstarch goop, and she LOVED it!
Painting seashells:
We do plenty of shaving cream play (mostly in the bath) sometimes with food dye:
Water beads, a balloon and a funnel.... this was hours and hours (and hours...) of fun.
My kids are so fun and I love playing with them!
