Back in the Swing

September 6, 2012

He's back in Preschool and super stoked about it.  It's a lot of fun since a bunch of his friends from last years class are all moving up together to this class so he will already have a bunch of friends.  He is in the Butterfly class which is for the 3-4 year olds and goes 2 days a week 9-1.  I can't believe how grown up he is getting.  It' makes me a little sad, but at the same time I love that he has something fun to do a couple hours a week to help keep me sane!  Mama's who homeschool are saints.

My Fruit Guy

August 29, 2012

This kid in another life would be a fruit bat.  It's all he eats all day long.  I can go to Costco and buy
2 things of bananas
box of peaches
large carton of raspberries
large carton of blackberries
large carton of pineapple
large carton of strawberries
cantaloupe
apples

and within 1-1.5 weeks we are all out of fruit and I do it all over again.  It's crazy!
I guess it's better than junk food!

we keep most of the fruit in the fridge in the garage and so he always secretly goes and gets something and then just sits on the stairs to the garage while he eats it in peace.

Too Pretty Here

Anchorage Park

I love the parks here.  Where I'm from, great parks that are green, lush and have lots of different scenery just don't exist.  Some mornings instead of hitting the gym it's just so much better to go to one of the great parks and take a jogging stroller and bikes and take hours letting the kids explore!  Plus it doesn't hurt to have them get a TON of energy out!

Just Swingin

August 18, 2012

Every once in a while we like to bust out the swing that James made for our tree.  Brady is obsessed with the ladder and climbing as high as he can (he was higher before I got this pic).  Addison is now old enough to sit on it and balance and hold on.  Obviously she was lovin it!

Bike Riding

August 17, 2012

We decided to get him a bike.  He rides next door with our neighbors grandsons on their bikes and we couldn't wait till his b-day since it's mid-snow season.  so I pressured James into finding him a bike.  I grew up going on bike rides as a fam like every Sunday and we would ride for hours and it was a lot of fun.  So I was so excited to get this tradition going for Brady.  We ride to a couple of his friends houses and to the park a lot.  He likes to come up to my bike and try to ram into my tires and bump me (thanks james!).  I love watching him grow up and learn new things, it's amazing!

Lake Powell

August 2012

Oh Lake Powell.  You make my heart flutter.  seriously, it's always so much fun and so relaxing!  We go out on the boat all day and then eat, shop, watch movies and play games all night.  Plus you get a rockin tan.  That's my kind of vacation!

Addi spent a lot of time just naked.  It was easier that way and she seemed to love it that way.  She just slept and swam, slept and swam all week long.

Brady got to wakeboard, jump off everything and anything (boat, rocks, tubes), he also got to pee off all those things too.  What is it that makes it so cool to pee in all these places?  Boys, I'll never understand it!  He loved the jet-skis and the faster we would go and spin the more he liked it.  We even let him drive and he was CRAZY!  Even I was getting nervous with him!  He would jump off the boat without a life jacket and just swim around with everyone.  I can't believe how big he is getting and I have decided I will bring all my kids to Lake Powell to become true fish and really learn how to swim on their own.  There is something about brady having my Uncle Greg, cousin Jeremy, cousin Sean and Rawlin there...all these grown ups doing crazy stuff that made Brady willing to try everything and anything!  It was so fun just to watch him have such a blast!  He still talks about the Lake and Uncle Greg and Aunt Lucies boat.

This is truly my favorite vacation every year.  I love the location and what we are doing and I REALLY love my family that I get to go with every year!  We always have so much fun!  It was fun to catch up with Sean (he got home from his mission a couple months before).  seriously,  I love my family!
