Last Friday Eric, Jill, LaNea and I headed down to Houston for Peyton's birthday party, due to various circumstances Peyton's birthday seemed to have become her birthday month.

A walk in the Park
During LaNea's first photography session, Izzy took the girls for a walk. Seconds after this photo was taken, Halli lost her grip on the leash and Izzy made a mad dash for home. Halli retrieved her and we headed out to the playground where Halli tied her to a post and the girls enjoyed the swings.

Swings are the most fun. So why then do most parks not have them? This park does and we LOVE IT!
Peyton was loving not having to hold onto the chains.
When we were done at the swings the girls wanted to take Izzy inside the dog park, sounded like a fine idea to me. Silly me, as soon as we were within sight of all the other dogs, Halli and Peyton were surrounded with dogs taller than them. As a result both girls had muddy dog prints on their shirts and Peyton even had a dog leave his muddy nose print on her hair. I got the girls seated on a bench and a lady who owned the two tall dogs showed the girls how to react to stop the dogs from trying to play with them. Izzy had fun in the water and running in circles with all the other dogs.

Portraits of LaNae
Even after the birthday that almost wasn't, April brought her girls and her camera back up to Eric and Jill's for a round of baby photos. While I entertained the girls with walking the dog, (photos on that to follow) April and Jill set out to make some beautiful photo memories of LaNea.

Going to see Grandma Shauna
Having been in Texas for two weeks and not seeing any grandaughters, April took pity on me and used some ploy on her husband and they piled in their car and drove up to College Station to see us.
Lexie ran to Izzy and smothered her with kisses. Such a good dog, she just stood there and took it.
We actually meet them at Gatti-Town, a pizzeria with games, costs a fortune to go, but the kids love it.
This is the only picture I got of her looking at me on the little Merry-go-Round...she always seemed to be looking away from the camera when she'd go by.
Yes, we let her on the the glass table top so she could check out all the bright flickering lights.
Halli's favorite ride at Gatti-Town BUMPER-CARS.
I don't know why I have so many of her...I suppose she was the most enthusiastic and entertaining to watch.
Eric's turning Texas on us.
Just put a gun in his hands.
Some scoundrel pulled the fire alarm, it was pretty hard on young ears.
Look at these two beauties, Halli loved the "push of a button" umbrella and was so sweet to hold it for Peyton.
While waiting is not fun when you got a restaurant on a Saturday night, Eric found a way to keep Halli busy...he gave her a phone and dialed a number, apparently Frankenstein and Igor were on the other end. Spooky!!
While the crowd continued to grow at the restaurant, Kevin took Lexie outside for some fresh air. He thought putting her on a round bench wall would keep her from wandering too far. I took this picture to capture her hair....what'dya think? Maybe...maybe she has my hair color? Hmmmm can't wait to see as it grows in.
Peyton did not like being left out of the phone fun...so she talked to Grandpa Logan while walking thru the restaurant...she looked like a miniature teenager with the phone to her ear.

Waiting...
As with all the pregnancies, waiting consists of lots of walking and spicy foods. The doctor appointments don't seem to consist of any new news. So we wait.
Directly behind Eric and Jill's apartment is the nicest dog park I've seen. (Not that I go in search of them) but the walks are around the dog park and if Izzy is lucky she get's to run free inside the gate and play with her friends.

But my days are spent behind the sewing machine. I've just finished my latest project, Jill picked out the fabric and we turned a boy's blue car seat into this luxurious car seat, lined in minky dimple dot fabric.
