In just 5 days

James has gone from scooting for the first time to getting up on his knees and speeding across the floor, in just 5 days! It's not the most graceful thing in the world but he gets around. We love him.

Where There's a Will...

..there's a way.

This may not look like much to you, but we were awfully proud of our little scooty baby.

Disneyland!

For my whole life I've sworn that I would never take a baby to Disneyland. It just seemed like too much work, and pointless because the baby wouldn't remember anything anyway. Then I actually had a baby, and the hold that Disneyland has on me was just too strong. How could I wait till I could leave James with someone for the day to return to the happiest place on earth? And what would that place be without my little love? Well, it would simply fail to be the happiest place on earth..

So, I was really excited, but quietly a little stressed about how the day would go- it's a long drive, I'm still James' sole food source, he gets really cranky if he misses his naps, etc... But, honestly, I don't think the day could have gone better in the end! He slept almost the whole way up, the weather was gorgeous, it wasn't crowded at all, and James is completely content as long as he's being held or is in the Baby Bjorn. We kept him in the Bjorn till he got sleepy, then switched him to the stroller, he napped a bit, and everything was just splendid!

James loved to watch the tea cups spin while we waited in line. Besides the cute 9 month old redhead he charmed that day, I think that was his favorite part of Disneyland :)

When we got home that night, Matt found this little hat and tried it on James- it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Needless to say, James is teething... He got his two bottom front teeth at 3 1/2 months during Thanksgiving week! They're cute, but deadly...

Old Town with My Boysies...

Matt had Columbus day off so we headed to one of our favorite places: Old Town! We walked around, bought some cool art, had good Mexican food, and took a few cute pictures of a real cute little guy.

James is really tall

Little James is 10 weeks old today. He had his 2 months doctor appointment on Friday. He's a whopping 13 pounds 10 oz and he's 24 inches long now. He's a glorious little chunk of a baby and just utterly edible! He loves to have conversations with us. He talks and talks and makes the sweetest little sounds and faces. He and I spend pretty much all morning eating, sleeping, and playing- everyday. He's just so delightful and happy and I might die of love...

So I've done a bunch of posts of pictures of my big fat baby. There's much more than you probably care to see, but I've taken a million pictures in the last month, and I think he's the cutest thing I've ever seen. So oh well.
