Last night we found a gorgeous park close to our new house. It had a gigantic playground, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and my favorite: lots of grass with weeping willows & a large duck pond. Madeline had the time of her life last night... just being a kid. It's so much fun watching little ones explore the world and being so excited about it. ( Sometimes I still get excited about what mother nature has to offer. Heavenly father & mother have really great taste!)
I can't believe Madeline is 21 months old. She'll be two at the end of November! Our little girl is growing up WAY too fast. She is a rambunctious little thing. She is very, very busy and LOVES a new adventure. She sort of runs away from my camera ( even the camera on my iphone). It's like she KNOWS I want more than anything for her to just LOOK at my camera sometimes, and she just won't have it. Not unless you do something really fun and crazy to get her to look at you. I guess that's how most toddlers are... but I think Madeline does it on purpose. " No, mom, I won't let you get the picture you're wanting of me. No." haha. I have to work EXTRA hard to get those photographs.
Even though we chased her around tonight, camera at my face trying to photograph her... probably looking like crazy parents ( Nick helped by keeping her from falling off things or falling in things ( like the big pond).) But you know what? When all is said and done, the most important thing to me is the fact that I was able to capture the personality! and especially what they love to do and how they were at this age. They're only this little once... so I don't mind we had to chase her around the entire time acting a fool.
It was the most perfect night for pictures, puddle jumping, rose smelling, duck feeding, rock skipping, grass laying, and just for Madeline to explore. She was in heaven... but after this photo shoot and being able to get these lovely photographs... so was I!
