Drum Off!!

Rockin' it at the Guitar Center Drum Off.
Here's Jeremy's 3 minute performance.

It was his first solo competition and that alone is a little intimidating. I'm so proud of him for going out of his comfort zone (the performing part) and just doing this. I do have to chuckle a little bit; this is the first time I've ever seen him nervous about anything... in the last 7 1/2 YEARS... :) Yea for Jeremy!

A Lesson in Expressions

With a face like this, it's no wonder she doesn't feel the need to talk.

Random

Building a camp fire at Gradma & Grandpa Gwin's house.
Isis got on a volcano (and shark) kick. So we made one. :)

Yeah, it was pretty cool.

Elise on her 1st day of nursery. Hooray!

What a great daddy.

I don't like pictures of myself, but I did like this new haircut. :)

Thank goodness for newly cleaned carpets! What a difference!

Cleaning my dutch oven after unsuccessfully trying to season it (before going camping). Gross.

Yep, still haven't conquered the laundry battle. Eventually, it does all get done.

Our Relief Society had an activity to make pillowcase dresses to send over to an orphanage in Africa. They didn't all get done so I took some home to finish. They were easy to make but I took too many and had to get them done in 2 days... but at least they got done...

Cute Kids

Of course I'm bias but here they are anyway. :) Man, I love these girls!
Happy faces
Scared faces

Sad faces

Cheesey faces

Surprised faces

They stay surprisingly quiet under the bed and manage to scare me often.

Trying some curls

Outings

Just a few things we've done in the last few months...
A trip to Lake Mead (the water was perfect)
Isis testing her goggles.

Getting ready for a big splash.

Elise not quite ready to do this big pool alone.

Our favorite indoor play place - the children's museum.

I LOVE this pool in Henderson. The girls do too.

Visits

One of the good things about living in Vegas is all the visits we get. All of my family lives elsewhere but we are close enough that they come and visit fairly often. This was over Memorial Day.

The black and whites were attempts at "serious" poses. You can see how well we succeeded.

Almost...

Serious is one (of the few) things Willis's do not do well. ;)

My brother Stephen stopped to stay with us on his way moving from Seattle to Tucson.

And we got a visit from some of our favorite friends who moved to Utah but came back for a visit. We miss you Gianis!

And Grandpa & Grandma came by again on their way to Utah.

We are always up for more visitors if anyone else wants to come!

Catch Up (AGAIN)- starting with Camping

In August we headed to Mt. Charleston again with friends for (what is becoming) our annual camping trip. I LOVE it!

Isis eating her un-roasted marshmallow off the stick.

Elise liked roasting more than eating the marshmallows Isis practicing her bird calls. This was a back-and-forth with a talkative crow. All the kiddos on a mini hike.Fun times with the Naylors and Streets!
