Nora was blessed April 17th on Riley's birthday! Nora was blessed on the same day as her cousin Cooper. We forgot our camera so we don't have pictures of Riley or Nora on their special day, but here is some of Nora in her blessing dress and a picture of Riley and Kasen the breakfast counter and a picture of Kasen on Dad's lawn tractor.
Baby #3 is here and it's just like we thought...a girl! Nora Kendall Durgin weighed 7 lbs 10.4 oz and was 20 inches long. She is a very calm baby and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the first 4 days are in indication that she will be well behaved and low key for another 20 years, at least. Enjoy some pictures of our new addition!
It's not often I get to sit on the couch with my laptop for 2 hours and catch up on e-mail, fb and blogs. Greg is off spending money on big tools, Kasen is napping and Riley is watching Saturday morning cartoons. Phewwww...me time! So we are fixing up a house and are planning on moving in the week before Thanksgiving. There is still so much to do, but the biggest challenges are behind us. We have to post before and after pictures, but not until the project is complete. Greg is making me get hardwood floors in the living room because we are not on a nice paved road, gravel and dust. So I'm looking for a great big rug. I don't want to spend more than $400 and the bigger the better. Any suggestions are welcome.
This kids....Riley has a pretty full schedule, which she just loves. It's better than staying home with mom, I guess. Monday she has gymnastics, Tues and Thursday she has preschool and Friday's she has a little singing group basically a Show Choir. She told me this morning that singing is her favorite class of all. But it's brand new, so that's to be expected. Kasen is jabbering a lot but not much to say. He points and says mine, mine. and he has putting his hand out and saying Owwwww. I kiss it and the story repeats. He's a week from being 18 months old. His words are Hey, hi, daddy!, mom, Riley (i-e), ow, mine, done, ball, bubble, rarrr! and no for every question, even if you aren't even asking him. He's the cutest little pal ever.
Thanks goodness for moments when life is quiet enough for me to reflect on how wonderful my life is, how abundant, how precious, how beautiful....
