Playmobil

Grace just received her first Playmobil set from her Tia Ceci and she's a huge fan! And as you can see from the photo I like to call "Escape From The Land of Giant Cats," Peoples is a fan as well. I don't recall Playmobil as a child but Robert remembers his cousin Daniel's Playmobil sets fondly. I believe they're more popular in Europe and the U.S. equivalent may be Lego people.

If we're collecting anything again, aside from the 45 monkeys currently taking up residence in Grace's room, it's going to be Playmobil. They have everything a child could imagine and a cat would want to eat. Thanks again, Tia Ceci! We miss you. Muchos besos to everyone in Zurich.

Dallas World Aquarium

With Love From Dallas....

Photos from our annual trip to Dallas will follow shortly. While visiting the Lone Star State, Grace enjoyed a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium, meeting Noah and Nathan, swimming, watching Bambi in Spanish, and learning how to not to melt in the 100+ degree temperatures. As always, we had a lot of fun spending time with family. Grace's great grandfather, Mario, was visiting from La Paz and her Aunt Sonya and Uncle Michael made the trip from NYC to be there as well.

Amazing Dollhouse

When Grace isn't pining to visit the baby goats, Laverne & Shirley, at Soergel Orchards, she can be found playing with her new dollhouse from Nana and Grandpa Tom. The dollhouse boasts an open room concept and adds a twist with a lazy susan underneath its foundation to allow for easy turning/pivoting of the manse. The furniture was included and while it's not Grace's preferred mid-century modern it made decorating the rooms very easy. There's an open house this Sunday from 1-4.
