Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Tulip festival...

I've been wanting to go to the tulip festival for years, and this year it happened!
We tagged along  with my brother, his family and my parents.

It was chilly and overcast but the rain waited till we left out.
Very beautiful!!!

What's going on...

This has been the hardest part of my cancer journey. Hearing loss. When the audiologist told me I needed hearing aids, I felt like I was knocked down, hard and far. Well I stepped up and ordered my ruby red hearing aids today. By the end of the week I should be hearing better!!!
(Hearing aids do not restore hearing to "normal" hearing aids will not cure my hearing loss, but they provide benefit and improvement in communication. They can improve my hearing and listening abilities, and greatly improve my quality of life.)

Well I had some side effects from radiation. The first one I am treating is my EYES...

I could tell I had some vision change, everything was a little blurry even with my contacts or glasses.
I finally went to the ophthalmologist and he discovered a few hemorrhages and also radiation retinopathy, both caused from radiation. As of now we took pictures of my eyes and we will watch them closely.

Radiation retinopathy is damage to retina due to exposure to ionizing radiation. typically after months of radiation, and is slowly progressive.

"There is no stronger love in this world than the love a mother feels for her children. She cries for them, she worries about them, she would die for them."

Spring break 2015... Part 7...

Spring break was good to us this year. We started our trip driving to Newport Beach in California, the long 12 hour drive stunk, literally stunk. Addison threw up the whole way there. It stunk so bad we threw away 3 sets of clothes, 2 blankets and her car seat. So once we were in st George we bought a new car seat, lots of towels, Lysol, febreeze and garbage sacks for the rest of the drive. Despite the puking, the kids did great and we made it to California.
Once in California we enjoyed the sun!
After our stay there we headed to Arizona to drop off the kids cousin, who had been with us for the past week and a half. Hung out with family, adventured around arizona and then hit the road for the long drive home. It was a little longer than expected because of a few complications. But we made it home safely and had a great trip as a family with lots of fun and memories made...

A few more pictures of the end of our trip...
