Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Motherhood...

I've gone blue...

"Why did you do all this for me?
I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you."

"You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing."

Home away from home...

Huntsman Cancer Institute
Has become my home away from home. I haven't been spending as much time there but it will always hold a special spot in my heart.
My day yesterday was actually quite easy...
Labs
Flush port
And my favorite salad bar! Seriously so yummy!

When I grow up...

I wanted to be a secretary so I could wear cute outfits and talk on the phone, but as time passed by I knew what I really wanted to be when i grew up...
I wanted to be a MOMMY! Not just any ordinary mommy but the best mommy ever!
I was lucky to have a supportive husband on my endeavor that has not questioned my choice once and supports me daily.
Being a mom is the best! I get to make mud cakes and sand castles, stay up late reading and cuddling, unlimited hugs and kisses. I get to argue and disagree, I get to discipline and love, be their worst enemy or best friend. I'm the one they run to when they've fallen and scrapped their knee or after they accomplished a really hard goal. I get to be there and be a part of everything and I love it!
Now, when I grow up, I want to be a grandma!

What we've been up to...

We have been smooching and now I'm ready to kiss cancer goodbye this year...

Some of our kissy moments...

"The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."

We've been out adventuring and loving it!

In my arms...

Tonight after sweet pea had taken her bath, I held her all wrapped up in my arms and rocked her back and forth. I sang to her as she drifted off to sleep. One of the songs I sang to her was "I am a child of God", and as I sang to her eyes slowly shut and her body relaxed, and I remembered holding her in my arms just after she was born and singing the same song to her as I rocked her back and forth.
She is growing up quickly but is still my little girl and will be a child of God.

I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.

Lead me, guide me,

walk beside me,

Help me find the way.

Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.

First haircut...

I may have accidentally given her some horrendous bangs, oops. But the back is so much better.

Before...
After...

This girl...

She has my heart.
Mornings, it's just the two of us, oh how I love this time together and watching her love shine through everything she does.

Girls only...

Macey asked for a slumber party so we had a girls only night.
There were giggles, jokes, crafts and lots of dancing...
