Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Lucky kids...

Parker and Macey are so lucky to have such a fun daddy...

6-8 more weeks....

Oh the joys!!!
I feel like I try really hard not to complain to everyone and stay positive
But maybe that is just in my head, so I am sure everyone is sick of hearing me complain.
But when I didn't think things could get much worse than throwing up everyday and feeling pretty crummy, they did...
The past 3 weeks have been really hard.
Hard physically, mentally and spiritually.
I've had to depend on others to help take care of me and my family(Which was probably the hardest thing to do, was asking for help)
I was sent to Physical Therapy a few weeks ago, they decided all my dizziness and nausea were triggered by vertigo, they thought it would be a simple one time fix.
My first appointment they were hoping to be able to do a few exercises with moving my head to get my crystals in my head back into place(Really this is not a joke, there really are crystals in your head, in your inner ear that control your balance).
After 30 minutes and throwing up 5 times, they ruled out the crystals situation
and diagnosed me with
So basically my inner ear in my right ear has completely shut down,
and that is why I am always dizzy, I can't turn my head to the right, lay down flat, make fast movement, bend down, look up or even drive or I get really dizzy and nauseous.
So for the past 3 weeks I have been going to physical therapy, they are hoping to retrain my brain and inner ear to function properly together again.
It has been really hard but every week I notice a slight improvement.
I can notice a difference already,
I'm not as nausea, I can turn my head slightly to the right and I can get back to taking care and playing with my kids again.
The first week after physical therapy was terrible, I was dizzy, couldn't get out of bed and couldn't stop throwing up, during those days first few days I just laid there in bed and cried all day, I was so sad, I thought this was what my life was going to be like, I was a terrible mom who couldn't take care of her kids, I was sad and I was done, I was ready to toss in the towel, and just give up.
Glad that week is over and my spirits are a little higher.
Just 6-8 more weeks of physical therapy and hopefully my inner ear will be back to normal.
Also just 6-8 weeks till this cute, lovable, little baby will make its appearance!!!
At this time the baby is breech, and so for the past 2 weeks I have been trying to do some natural things to get the baby flipped, the next step is the doctor wants to try moxibustion, and if that doesn't work then we will try a specialist to try to flip this little babe.
But on good news with all my complaining, is at least the baby is healthy and there really are no complications.
6-8 more weeks!
I can do this!

What every mom should do...

I'm no pro at being a mom
and I am sure I never will be
But I was very lucky growing up to have such an awesome example.
Every person thinks their mom is the best and greatest, but I am pretty sure my mom could win.
And let me tell you one reason that I really think she is the best
I always think about this, especially now that I have a daughter I want to be sure to do this.
While growing up and still to this day
I have never ever ever ever ever
heard my mother complain about her weight, going on a diet or being excessive on exercise,
and I give credit to my mom for my self esteem for that reason.
I probably should have been more concerned about my weight while growing up,
but it didn't matter, cause it didn't matter to my mom either.
Don't get me wrong my mom is beautiful, healthy and looks great, and she also wanted her daughters to be healthy.
But I look up to my mom for that example of never complaining about her body.

I remember one time at a family function, one of my younger cousins who was probably only 5 at the time, said she didn't want any potato chips cause her dad told her mom that they would make her fat,
right there and then I remember and thought, my dad would never say anything like that to my mom
and how it already affected my cousin at the young age of 5.

My mom always had time to sit down and eat oreos with us or eat some ice cream, and we didn't have to hear her complain about how it's going to go straight to her thighs or how she needs to work out, she enjoyed the moment with us!

I hope that I can be that kind of mom
I hope that my daughter Macey will never hear me complain about eating something
or that I need to exercise to lose some more pounds
Or ever call myself fat.

I feel like if I can do what my mom did for me
and do that for my daughter
she will have one less
self image problem in her life while growing up and hopefully will be healthy and happy

Thanks mom for always being such a great example!

10 weeks or less...

 10 weeks or less...
This baby is on it's way
I'm kind of nervous that the baby will come early, Parker came 2 weeks early and Macey was almost 3 weeks early, so that makes me really nervous, hopefully this one will wait till it's due date, if so it could be twiners with it's cousin, due at the same time!
November seems just around the corner!

Idaho... 78 years!!!

Happy 78th Birthday Grandma V!!!
Wow I am so lucky to be surrounded by so much family,
my kids are so lucky to have so much love around them,
they are lucky to have and know their great grandparents.
We went up to Idaho to celebrate Grandma's 78th Birthday!
What an amazing woman she is.
I remember staying up in Idaho in the summers, sleeping out under the stars with her, swimming in the canal, eating fries for dinner.
I remember her honking at cars in front of her driving, calling them old and passing them by.
My grandma is somewhat free spirited and easy going
She is a fun and loving grandma!
And what is even better is that my mom has some of her great qualities, so she is to an awesome fun Grandma!
My grandparents have been married for almost 60 years, and it is nice an sweet to see them together taking care of each other! What love they have for each other!

Ok, Idaho was fun, the kids had a blast running around with cousins, playing all day! It was great!
These 2 cute girls were inseperable, and Tootsie and Milo were dragged around through it all
The neighbor brought over his 1930's car for us to take pictures and go for rides. It was awesome!
Trouble! 2 cute girls left alone in the car, left with the keys in the ignition, Macey in the driver seat and Gabriella in the back! What fun!

Another year of preschool for this handsome stud!
He was super excited and couldn't wait for his first day.

Here's to a good year buddy!

Bear Lake 2012

Over Labor day weekend
we decided to head up to Bear Lake!
It rained and poured on us in our tent almost every night
but I think that made it even more cozy and perfect for snuggling!
We enjoyed playing at the lake, playing in the stream, the kiddos making friends jumping on the tramp, relaxing, eating raspberry shakes and just being together as a family!
Aaron had to show the kids how it was done... Jumping on the tramp, doing flips!

No better way to relax then in the hammock by the stream!!!
Sound asleep and all nice and cozy after the rainstorm

Parker was so happy to be at Bear Lake, this boy sure does love being outside and adventuring around
 This is the life!

 Cloud gazing

The kids couldn't get enough beach time and sand, they loved every minute of it!

Good times!!!

Goodbye summer...

Summer went by fast
It was good, considering I felt like I was in a haze for most of it.
The kiddos were troopers, we went on a few little trips, hikes and spent most of our time at the pool.
This summer Macey was a true 2 year old and became very sassy and bossy!
She loves the water, sand and to get dirty!
She is very opinionated and does not like to be told no.
She is very shy at first, but then once she opens up you can't keep her quiet or still.
She loved eating tons of fruit this summer, I think she lived off of cantaloupe, watermelon and strawberries! YUM!
Parker is awesome like always! I feel like he really has grown up this year, even though he still has tantrums every once in awhile.
He became a super swimmer this year, he can swim across the pool by himself underwater, on his back or on his stomach. He loves to jump off the diving board and do all kinds of tricks, he is a true fish!
He has enjoyed being outside this summer, riding his bike and scooter all over town.
We had a great summer, but are also excited for Fall to come!
See ya in a year Summer!
