We're one of THOSE couples...

You know those annoying couples, that once they become parents, their world revolves around their kids and that's all they talk about. You would think that is their life or something... They no longer have time for friends or going out anymore.

Well, Aaron and I are officially one of those couples!
OK, maybe we have always been one of those couples
Once we had Parker our date nights slimmed down immensely not because we had to, but because we wanted to. We wanted to spend more time as a family, and I'm one of those freaky parents that have a hard time leaving their kids with anyone. And I don't want to inconvenience them or burden anyone.
Still to this day both Parker and Macey have only been babysat by a few family members and one friend.
And then the times we do go out, we usually just go out the 2 of us, not that we don't like friends we just like to spend our time together.
Some friends might take offense to that, sorry!
But our defining moment when we became one of THOSE couples was the other night, when we went out with a few friends, some married, some single and some parents.
And all Aaron and I talked about were our kids, but it didn't stop there, next thing I know Aaron pulls out his Iphone and pulls up home videos of our kids.
Thats right, we don't stop with just pictures and stories of our kids, we pull out videos of them now.
We are officailly one of THOSE couples...

But hey, we love it! And we love our kiddos!
Our life revolves around them!

Goodbye 2011...

Our poor dog Tootsie puts up with so much! She is ready to hit the town and celebrate New Year's Eve!!!

2011 you were pretty good to us!!!

But we are hoping that 2012 will be a little bit better with a few changes

Christmas 2011...

Christmas this year was wonderful, like always...

We enjoyed the company of family

Ate lots of yummy food and goodies

The kids were spoiled rotten, which is great!

And Santa brought them bunk beds!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Early Christmas... San Diego

This year we got an early Christmas present as a family

My crazy incredible parents decided to take the whole family to California for Christmas

So we left the week before Christmas as a family and had a great time...

We first hit up Cove Fort to visit Grandma Great and Grandpa Great

They had warm homemade bread, and clam chowder waiting for us, yum!

Then we continued on to Vegas for the night,

Even though Aaron and my brother Trevor weren't able to go, we still had Jeremy to protect us from  the crazy old drunks, haha...

Once we got to California we enjoyed every minute of the warm sun!!!

We played at the beach, legoland, sea world, the dock, shopped, visited old town, saw the lights at the San Diego Temple, played at Coronado beach and much more...

It was tons of fun!!!

Early Christmas Eve...

Every Christmas Eve, since I was a little girl.

The WHOLE family would get together

Eat Pizza

and

Get new pajamas from grandma

But this year we had to do things a little different...

Grandma and Papa Great are still on their mission

so the WHOLE family won't be getting together, 

and me and my siblings will be in California with our parents 

so we had to do things early around here.

We got together at my parents house and had some yummy fajitas

And then Grandma and Papa gave all the kids their Christmas Eve pajamas...

I think I get more excited than anyone about this, I just love it!!!

 Don't worry the mommies and daddies also got some sweet pajamas to wear...

The monkey and gorilla...

Aaron has this thing with a certain monkey at the zoo.

It started about 3 years ago on Thanksgiving.

He was looking at a monkey through the glass, as the monkey was eating his pumpkin he jumped and tried to attack Aaron's face through the glass

Since then whenever we go back and visit this certain monkey it hisses at Aaron, and then this last week,

it attacked Aaron through the glass again.

I don't know but Aaron must have hurt his feelings or something.

The animals at the zoo in the winter are pretty awesome!

We saw the giraffes running

The tigers playing and pacing

Snakes slithering

But the neatest was the gorillas

One Gorilla would come up to the glass and put his nose up to your nose, and his hand up to your hand. We watched the Gorilla forever, it was awesome.

You almost wanted to climb into his cage with him and play

It was hard to get a good picture of the gorilla through the glass. Macey and Parker are just on the other side of the glass in front of the Gorilla.
